Suze called me Boyfriend!!

So I had my talk with Suze this morning. It was a little confusing as to what was going on. They really should explain it more. Three people came on the line before I even got to suze, and all they said is. “Is this so and so”. I didn’t get a chance to ask when it was going to go on the air. But Suze was really cool and she even called me boyfriend! YAY! 🙂 I love you Suze Orman! She suggested I contact Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) and a lawyer. So I’ll be having to do that soon.

Sunday was a cold (59) and cloudy day. Great day to sit around the house and do nothing. But alas, I went out and did another 30 miles. Star Map Tour. I’ve done this ride a few times and it’s pretty easy except for one good climb (be sure to click the link and check ot the elevation maps!). I’m pretty damn sore today and I have a HORRIBLE farmers tan! We averaged just over 12mph. After the ride, JC, Tom, Will, Ran and I all went over to The Abbey and had brunch. It was really weird being in there in just biking shorts and what not. I felt like everyone was staring at us! lol.

So is it Dinner or Supper.. Here’s a really interesting article about the great debate. Personally it’s: Breakfast, Lunch and Supper. Except for weekends or holidays when it’s Breakfast, Dinner, Supper. 🙂

Sunday night my friend Manny came over and we hung out and chatted and watched a movie. Great night for movies with the rain and what not.

Ok, time for some work!

A Look Back…

Dead Soda’s Check out this list of old sodas and what not. Very cool. I remember most of them… lol. It’s funny to look back and wonder what the hell these people were thinking!

Great list of MacOSX apps… My new fav is VirtueDesktops. Which is so cool! The beta has lots of bugs, but I can live!

It’s sad that this stuff is real… and that so many UK/European people will see the US like this. UGH!

I completely forgot to write about what happened at the office last Friday. I was working up in SM and these two girls came by handing out stickers with our names on them. I asked what these were for and they said “The move happening this weekend”…. “WHAT!?” Whave move?! This was the first I had heard of any move! I knew that they were planning a move sometime early this year to across the street, but I hadn’t heard ANYTHING about it in months! So I messaged the guy who manages me there and ask what’s going on. He gives me the DL and that apparently the dolt that’s managing the move forgot to notify me at all. They are only moving the people off the second floor into temp housing till the REAL move next month.

So then about 2 hours later, after I’ve packed up all my shit and freaked out and what not, because NO ONE knows where my shit is being moved to, or ANYTHING the dolt who’s organizing the move comes down and is like, “we’re not moving till NEXT weekend.” UGH! Can’t these people get ANYTHING straight!? What the fuck. Very annoying.

Monday was a 13 hour day at the office… Lots of stuff going on and what not. I have to learn Joomla now. I’ve been meaning to play with it and see what’s going on, but have just never had the chance to do it. I was given the task on Monday to completely redesign the corporate website… By next Tuesday.

Tuesday morning I slept in and headed to the office about 10ish and worked the day away on that stuff. Tuesday night was my first class. It was HORRIBLE… I’m really debating about if I want to go back or not. The prof seems nice enough, he was joking around and making it funny and stuff, but I just don’t know if I can deal with a class right now. Plus when I signed up work was dead. Now I don’t think I have the time or energy to spend 5 hours a week in class, plus the time it’s going to take to do all the homework/etc.

After that I headed over to Ben’s house and hung out with him we went down to Venice Beach and had coffee and just chatted. It was really nice.

It’s so wierd saying.. “I have to run to class now”.. It’s been 2.5+ years since I’ve said that! Ugh. I’m soooo old! haha.

How to blow $145 billion a year.

Remember that job I flew to Chicago to look into last year around easter? Well the same company has posted another ad.. I’m debating about applying.

Well. I have TONS of work to do, and a date tonight! YAY! So see ya later.

AIDS is NOT a Gay Disease!

Wow, what a busy busy weekend!

So Friday I worked in Newport, got my new bike, went out to dinner with Robert at H Marys. So that was fun to be back there, got home late that night and went to bed.

Saturday I got up early and drove up to Pacific Palisades and did the Getty Villa, by myself.. Thanks Andrew. It was still nice, but could have been better. After that I drove around Malibu for a bit and then headed home. Went out on a bike ride that afternoon and went the uphill way. That was painful. But it was very nice. I got a few pics from the bluffs up there, such a pretty area. I wish I could own a house up there!

Got home after that and I was dead tired, so I laid down and watched Latter Days, which if you haven’t seen this movie, you MUST go watch it. I’d have to say it’s one of the best done gay movied out there. Specially for the small budget and short filming time they had (I think they said like 30 days or something?). Went to bed after that.

Sunday I got up early again, went out on a bike ride and then hit up the gym. Go ME! 🙂 I’m still no where near what I was when I was in college, but I’m at least lifting more then when I started a few weeks ago. Hopefully by the end of this week I’ll be able to bench 100 pounds! woot! God, I’m so weak! 🙁

After that I went and got lunch, then picked up Jason and we went and explored the Dominator Shipwreck in Palos Verdes. Which happened back in the 60’s. It was REALLY cool. Check out the pics from the linked page, you can see how HUGE this thing was, and then go look at the pics from this weekend, it’s amazing how much it’s deteriorated. It’s just amazing, and it’s only 2 miles from my house!!! It was a bit of a trip to get down there though, the trail down was pretty much STRAIGHT down, and then we took a different trail up, again, pretty must STRAIGHT up and on very close edges. We also had to walk through this really HORRIBLE HORRIBLE smelling area, not sure WHAT caused it, but OMG it was GROSS! There were some cute little BBQ pits down there too. (Not sure WHERE they came from though!)

After that we went out to dinner and got pizza, which I’ve been CRAVING forever. Sooo good. I came home, talked to my neighbor, who is SO CUTE. If only I were straight! And then watched Zoolander. Jay always RANTED and RAVED about this movie.. It was funny, but I don’t think I could watch it more then once.

Pics from this weekend are here.

Pics from Abalone Cove and Eaton Canyon (Which was a month ago, but I never posted pics) are located here.

L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center has started a new campain… “Own it. End it”. In which they say that AIDS is a gay disease. UGH! No DON’T say that! Then you are only playing into these damn right wing assholes. It’s a bit annoying.

Ok. I’m outta here. I have a LOT of work to do!

Insurance

So I got my bill for the insurnace the other day. It went down $100 from last year, but that was still with them thinking I lived in Iowa.

So I called them up and told them I moved and got a new quote…

It went from $716 to $1,863…

Then I had him add my dad on there, that brought it down to $1606.16. Which is still less then the other quotes I had recieved from places, and with TWICE the coverage, dollar amount wise!

So then we fill out the paper work and he’s like, “Oh, BTW you are eligible for the 5 year aniversary discount and a Farm B discount”… So that brought it down to $1,473. Still, TWICE what I was paying in Iowa, but a damn good deal for here in Cali! Then he told me that I had to pay by either visa or mastercard. Well, my bank account didn’t have that much in there so that ruled out using the Visa, so then I had to use a Mastercard… Alas, I DO NOT HAVE a Mastercard. So I told him I would have to transfer money to my bank account and call him back the next day.

PS!!!!! If you’re not a member of Farm Bureau I highly suggest it.. You get TONS of amazing benifits. (Just do a google search for “YOUR STATE Farm Bureau”) It’s only $65 a year here in Cali and my mom said it was $40 a year in Iowa.

So I called my mom and talked to her and she convinced me that I didn’t need Comprehensive coverage on my car, so when I called Nick back the next day, I told him to drop that which brought my total down to $936! So I’m really excited about this because I had BUDGETED $2,000 for insurance! Woot!

Then I asked him about new cars, and got a quote on the car that’s top on my list right now.. He said with FULL coverage at my current limits it would only be $1,200. Which I think is strange, but whatever. 😀

So I finailly have that all sorted out. I need to call Saddleback too to find out what I need to do if I just want to take one class. I don’t want to enroll and do all the stupid tests they make you take to place you, because I just want continuing education credits. But I really think that I want to take a class there next semester. It would keep me busy.

And Tom, I officially asked Blake to the holiday christmas party.. All he said was.. “I wish you could see my calendar” I’m guessing that’s a no. lol. But like I keep saying, even if he is free, it’s a long ass ways for him to drive just for a party.. But if he could come down, I’d probably take the whole day off to spend with him.

Anyways, I’m out!

National Budget

I found this cool National Budget Simulator the other day somewhere… it’s really fun. I got to a 300 Billion Dollar surplus. Clearly I should be in charge of the budget!

It’s also really wierd when someone you haven’t talked to in nearly 4 years randomly IMs you and starts being all “We should hang out sometime”. It’s like, dude! You live in Pittsburg and I live in the OC! Though, I wouldn’t mind hanging out with him.. It’d be a first! haha.

I hardly slept at all last night. I finially got to sleep about midnight and kept tossing and turning and waking up. I finially woke up about 4:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep . 🙁 I’ve been up since then laying around on my couch.

I priced a top of the line Mazda3s today. With Navigation and Homelink and all that good stuff. $22k.. Not bad. The Mazda3 is currently at a .76/1 on my decision matrix though.

The top 5 cars right now are:

Toyota Prius – 1/1

Acura RSX – .94/1

Audi A3 – .88/1

Acura TSX – .82/1

Mazda3 .76/1

My weighting system is as follows:

Pricing – 40%

Fuel Economy – 34%

HP – 1%

0-60 – 2%

Warranty – 20%

JD Power Rating – 3%

I’m planning on adding a few other categories into that, just not sure how to rate them (Such as if they use Premuim or Regular gas, which I’m sure will knock the Audi A3 and the TSX out of the top 5). 🙂

I know, I’m crazy!

Adios.
