Going Out.

Welcome everyone.

It hasn’t been too long since I last updated and as usually not much has really happened.

Currently I’m sitting here at StarFucks drinking, yes.. I admit, I broke down and bought a coffee. Because Diedrichs was closed. 🙁 Either way, I’m sitting here drinking my coffee waiting for JonJon to get off work and for Nikki to get here so that we can all go out to TigerHeat. That should be tons of fun, though we’ll get back about 3am which will leave me with enough time to shower and maybe take a nap. We’ll have to see how I feel about that time. I got a double shot mocha so hopefuly I won’t be tired by that point.

I can’t wait to get back to my normal schedule again so that I’m not as grumpy/etc. all the time.

Today I really snapped at Ty, about a couple of things and I feel bad, but I also think that it was about time that someone snapped at him about it. He was just being so fucking annoying about a ton of shit. Mostly I snapped at him about my computer. I was getting ready to put it away when he grabs it and goes, ‘WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PORTS!”

Now, if you’ve ever SEEN a powerbook you know that there’s 10 ports on the one side of the machine. There’s the OBVIOUSLY needed power port, along with a modem, ethernet, firewire, (2) USB, Monitor, mic in, audio out and then the lock port.

He goes, “My laptop doesn’t have NEAR that many ports” and it’s like, have you sat DOWN and counted how many ports your stupid compute has? Grrr. He’s so annoying. And then he gets into it with me about how Apples such, when the stupid whore hasn’t even used one since like System 7 or something.

THEN he gets into it with me about the iPod because he’s like, “I heard that have shit ass sound quality” and it’s like, “WHERE THE HELL DID YOU HEAR THAT FROM”… iPods have ALWAYS been known for their superior sound quality. God he’s so stupid.

THEN earlier I asked a VERY SIMPLE question about this stupid Star Trek which he is CONSTANTLY watching, and the answer was….”He hasn’t been designed yet” but do you think Ty could leave it at that? No he had to be all derogatory and try giving like a 10 fucking minute explanation. Then I was like, “Did I ask?” And he was like, “No but I’m going to tell you anyways, so which I responded, ‘Shut up, I didn’t ask and I don’t care.”

god I was just SO ANNOYED with him tonight.

In other news, work is goinng really well. I got all the validation done for the timesheet program and got volunteered today to write a new web/db application for change request forms. Because right now when someone needs to do an upgrade to a production server, we (the HD) sent out a form to them, they send it back, we enter it into pivotal (which is a HELLISH system devised by pfizer and is ungodly slow) and then we run reports, etc off that.

Then when there’s a change, (IE approval or denial of the ability to do the upgrade, or when it’s completed/failed/etc) we get an e-mail then have to go in and update the pivotal ticket,e tc. Basically it’s just a TON of work for the HD. So I get to write a new web based system so that SA’s can enter everything themselves and all the HD has to do it run the reports and notify people of the planned changes. So it should be good, and easier to do then the timesheet program because there won’t be so much redundancy in the fields.

We also got yelled at today because one of our clients is on a war path with us. Basically she sent in a request to have some work done a couple weeks ago and because Mike is so fucking slow, it didn’t get done. So we all get yelled at. Thankfully _I_ took the initiative to have it done just the other day. So that’s good.

Another thing is that Mike at work is SO SLOW! It took him 4 hours to do something this morning that usually only took me about 30 minutes to do. God it’s so annoying and then today during the HD meeting with Jill he complained that the HD was ‘swamped’ with calls. Hello, we’ve been getting 6 or 7 calls A DAY for the last two weeks or so. Nothing that is OVERLY stressful either. It’s just that he’s so slow when it comes to writing things up and doing shit. Grrr.

Anyways. Yeah.
So that’s my life

The other night Jon and I watched HellBoy, HORRIBLE movie. I reccoommend NEVER seeing it. Last night we watched 50 first dates. That was a pretty good movie considering who was in it.

Tonight like I said it’s off to tigerheat which should be tons of fun.

Well StarFucks is closing, so I’ve got to break. Laters all.

Jon Jon… What’s going on?

Ok… Well I can now say that I fully understood how Andrew was feeling after he made out with that random Asian boy while we were first broken up.

Last night hanging out with Jon was lots of fun, but after the roomies went to bed, he started to get very agressive, and well in short we made out for a while.

I guess I can say that I kinda had a feeling it was going to happen. I mean he’d been telling me that he ‘liked’ me. And he Imed me this once: “i dont mean to freak u out or seem like i’m trying to take advantage of someone in a bad situation but at one point today all i wanted to do was hug u and kiss u”.

But I had no idea that it would actually happen, I thought that I had enough self control. But we were laying there on the couch, watching Queer as folk, and he started to rub my arm and play with my hair the way that Andrew used to, and I just kinda feel into it. And everytime I looked at him, I just saw Andrew, and all I could think about was how I missed Andrew doing those things, and how much I miss laying on the couch with him and kissing for hours.

Before I knew it, the harmless hand carassing had moved up to playing with my stomach and soon we were laying on the couch hugging, the same way that Andrew and I had all this time. As we laid there, I just looked at him, and all I could see were Andrew’s big brown eyes, and his bigg bushy black eye brows and his full lips. I saw Andrew there on the couch with me last night, not Jon.

Sadly, it was Jon there though. But when he came in the first time to kiss me, after we had been laying there talking about random things for a while, I couldn’t stop myself. I wanted for it to be Andrew, I wanted that so badly.

And when our lips touched, I felt him, I felt Andrew’s lips there, I felt the way that Andrew kissed. So passionately, so lovingly. I felt him and I saw him there.

We laid there for a while, kissing. I was in my wonderland, feeling and seeing Andew, not realizing what I was doing, or who I was really kissing. I only wanted it to be Andrew, to be one of the hundreds of other times that we laid on my couch at home or at my apartment. Laying there kissing like that so lovingly, so meaningfull, so so as if we belonged as one.

I don’t know how long we were there kissing, but Ty came out at some point and we stopped. As soon as we did I realized how wrong I was to do that, how horrible I felt for kissing Jon. At that moment I just wanted to run and cry in my room. I wanted to call Andrew and tell him everything and tell him how horrible I felt for kissing someone else, how wrong it really felt. Even though while we were kissing it felt right, that was only an illusion.

It was all just an illusion that my head played on me. And now I feel so horrible for it. I want to call Jon and tell him that I shouldn’t have done that. I want to call Andrew and tell him what happened, and tell him how horrible it felt to kiss someone else. How I only wished it had been him. How I only wish that things were alright, and that I wish he were here, laying on Ty’s couch with me, watching Qaf tell 2am and kissing and holding each other.

I want him back, even though we only talked throughout the days over the last 10 months or so, knowing that we’re not together anymore is a horrible feeling. And I hate it.

I hate it so much.

After Ty came out, I couldn’t even look at Jon anymore, for fear of seeing Andrew again and falling into the same trap. I know that I have to talk to him, and let him know that nothing will come of this, and all that I want is a friendship, and that I was sorry if I led him on in anyway.

We’re talkig online now, and I can’t continue with writing this.

Upsy/Downsy

Well this weekend sure has had it’s share of ups and downs…. Thankfully it ended on a really good up.

It all started Friday night. My flight was delayed and my mom wasn’t going to pick Andrew up tell after she picked me up from the airport. When I called and told him that she wasn’t going to pick him up before he sounded very annoyed, and in turn that annoyed me. Then every time I called him to tell him that our flight was delayed some more, he seemed even more annoyed. Which, again in turn annoyed me more.

Well, before I get to much farther. I suppose I should bitch about how horrible the flights were. I got off work and drove up to LAX, which was amazingly easy. There wasn’t hardly any traffic. So that was good. Anyways, the first flight was alright, besides the stupid people on it. I don’t remember exactly what they did or who they were, but I know there was someone annoying on that flight sitting next to me. Grrr. And plus Delta’s leg room sucks ass! It’s so tiny.

Then I ended up spending like 2.5 hours in Cincinati (sp) which was hellish. Then our flight was delayed boarding because the plane wasn’t there yet. (How this could be, I don’t know because it was coming from a garage). Then we boarded and started to pull away from the gate… Then stopped.. And pulled back in and sat there for an hour. VERY annoying. And the worst part was that it was a brand new aircraft, just delivered the day before. So yeah, that really sucked. And the whole time there was this STUPID child infront of me bouncing back and forth in his seat so I couldn’t sleep.

Anyways, finally got into DM and went and picked up Andrew. Then drove back to my house. Thankfully the night ended VERY well, and we ended up going to bed about 1:30 or so.

Got up the next morning about 7:00 and I made him breakfast then took him to work. Drove back to PC where Sheila and Dwaine picked me up and we went to the Machine Shed. The food there was so good and the protions were HUGE!! After that Beak and Neil and I went to the half price book store where I bought a personal finance book. Since I’m now raking in the money I should know what to do with it don’t you think?

After that they took me back to PC where I got ready to go pick Andrew up from work. Got there and him Court and this other guy went to Culvers. I had an oreo shake, which I really didn’t think was that great. After that Andrew and I went to Old Navy and got my paycheck then we went off and did other things.

I think we went to Saylorville then went back to my house. After that we went and saw Super-Sized which was a realy good movie. From there we went Downtown….

Which is where the down starts. On the way down there Andrew said something about me buying him a drink. Which really annoyed me, I know that it shouldn’t have but it did. I mean I had spent $400 on a ticket to come see him, plus I was paying for parking at the airport, $24, plus I had paid for the movie, $14, and I was going to pay for Redlight, $20. All while he had only paid for my shake at Culbers ($3). It really annoyed me that he asked me to pay for it, then when we got there I asked him to buy me a drink and he refused which just annoyed me any more. Lets just say that we didn’t speak for the rest of the night, or again tell about 8:30 Sunday morning.

It was really stupid, but it’s just been a culmination of 2 weeks of fighting. And it’s really hurt me and I’m sure him. But I guess you could say that was really the straw that broke the camels back. I hated sitting there all night not talking to him. And I kept trying to talk to him, but all that could come out of either of our mouths was very annoyed, short responces.

What hurt the most though was going to bed, sleeping there with our backs to each other, just saying “Good night” and not kissing good night or saying I love you or anything. It was just “Good night”.

Then this morning there was more fighting and after a long discussion Andrew suggested that we “Take a break” from our relationship… I’ll spare everyone the details right now because I don’t want to break down crying here in my office. But lets just say that there was lots of crying and talking about it.

We eventually decided that we just need to be strong and work through it, it’s hard to know how your relationship is going when you are so far apart. We agreed to have a good rest of the day, because by this time it was like 11:50 and we were supposed to be in Waukee at noon.

And in fact we did have a GREAT rest of the day. We went over to Courts fams house and ate lunch then went to the parade where it was ungodly hot, but still tons of fun.

After the parade I left, and Andrew and I had to say a quick goodbye because of all the straights around. I really wish that we could have had a more private/longer goodbye this time. Last time we had to do a quick one too and I hated it. Same with this time. 🙁

Well I left there and went back home, hoping to be able to eat something before leaving again, but the turkey wasn’t done so we just left. Thankfully my dad drove the truck so it wasn’t ungodly slow like it was Friday night when my mother drove. I guess they are going to come out here sometime this summer to see whats going on and stuff. I have no idea what they’ll do or anything, but I guess it’s cool. It’ll be a good vacation for them.

Well anyways, I got to the airport about 4:25 and was checked in and through secirity by 4:30. lol. There wasn’t a line anywhere! So I sat there for the hour before we boarded just doing nothing and watching the planes. The place was DEAD! But there was a fire drill while I was there, that was crazy!

The first flight wasn’t that bad. I had the whole row to myself. 2 isle 2. It was really nice. I read my San Diego mag the whole flight. It had a list of top 101 things to do in San Diego and I want to do them all! I have a feeling there will be lots of road trips to SD in the coming years.

I also found a special for the theater down there, for $110 you can get into 6 shows. And they have things like Mamma Mia, Rent, Stomp, and tons of other really good things that I want to see playing. Of course the $110 is like the worst seats in the house, but row A was only $300. So I’m sure something in the middle is very reasonable. We’ll see. I’m going to call or go online to see if there’s any deals like that up here though, because I’d hate to have to drive to SD everytime I want to go to a show.

The second flight was on a giant 767, we were 30 minutes late getting out, but only 10 minutes late getting in. So I was 10 minutes late to work, which wasn’t too bad. I would have been ontime, but the guy at the Parking check out couldn’t find Iowa on his map. lol. Not like it matters if I was on time or not, There’s only been one phone call all night and I took care of it in like 5 minutes. So that’s good. 🙂

Well, laters all.

I Done It!

Well Graduation passed and here I am, still working away without a job. 🙁

The weekend was good, though I was a bit saddened by a few things and surprised by a few things.

First the things I was saddedn/annoyed about (In no real order):
1. Melinda and Rob didn’t come. Adam did, which was nice to see him again, but I was hoping to see Melinda and Rob as well.
2. Frank and Kaye didn’t come either. I was really annoyed by this, because they were such a huge part of my life in HS I thought they would at least send a card or something. But I didn’t even get that. I was really upset by them not coming.
3. Fagen’s didn’t come either. I wasn’t really disappointed by this, but it was still annoying that they didn’t come.
4. My Grandma Sibbel’s gift. Now, I wasn’t expecting much from anyone. I really wasn’t. But when you’re the first person on that side of the family to get a 4 year college degree you’d think she would treat it a little more. She was only one of 3 people to give me $20. And the other two I wasn’t anything from. Grrr.
5. No one from my Yucatan class came.

Things I was surprised by:
1. Adam coming. I was surprised that he actually came, it was good to see him. He said we should hang out this summer and I think it’ll be fun to hang out a little.
2. My PU’s present. I was expecting more, but figured it would be much less. I was pleasently surprised by what I actually got. Now I have to decide what to do with it. Which I’ll get into later
3. Steven came. I was REALLY surprised by the fact that he made the trip (IE, drove himself and his girl) just for my gradutation. And that was after she had to work from 5:30 – 1. So I thought it was really nice of him. In the thank you note to him I told him we should hang out this summer and have a drink. Gave him my number too. Perhaps we can get him drunk 😉
4. My G&G’s present. Way more then I thought. It was nice! 🙂
5. The nice weather.

Overall everything was good and I was happy with the graduation. It feels good to be done, yet really stressful to be done too. I’m sure that come fall I’ll be wanting to go back to school.

Now, about my PU’s gift… The total comes out to be about $4,000… About $2,000 in savings bonds that people have given me over the years, and about $2,000 in cash. They said they were going to buy me a laptop computer with that cash, but since they didn’t know what I would want, that they just gave it to me. So now I’m caught in the middle, or should I save it. Right now AIT is having a sale on Mac Powerbooks, they’re $1,999 for:
15.2-inch TFT Display
1280×854 resolution
1.5GHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache
512MB DDR333 SDRAM
80GB Ultra ATA/100
ATI Mobility Radeon
9700 (64MB DDR)
Backlit keyboard
Gigabit Ethernet
FireWire 400 & 800
AirPort Extreme built-in
DVI & S-Video out

Which normally retails for $2,800. So I’m really tempted to buy it. I’m also tempted because that would mean I can sell my other three computers/monitor/KVM/network hub and all that other shit and potentially make about $600 from the sale of all of that stuff AND best of all, I’d have a TON more room in my car for when I move. I’m just really torn as to if I should spend the money or not. If I had a job, I wouldn’t have any problem buying this laptop. I’m also scared because I have a feeling that Apple’s going to announce the G5’s Powerbooks at WWDC this year, but even if that happens the earliest they’d come out would be August. If not much later. I mean it took them like 4 or 5 months between the time they announced the G5 Xserves and the date they actually shipped the damn things.

::whines:: I just don’t know what to do!

Anyways. That’s been my weekend….

Oh, I also register trained at Old Navy this weekend. That was hellish. The people that work there are SO STUPID! Gah. It was very funny though because I kept asking all these questions to the girl doing the training. Questions I obviously knew the answer to already. lol By the end of it she was catching on and started answering them before I got to ask them! roflol.

Anyways, I must break to get back to work.

Laters all.
