Happy Birthday to ME!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Yesterday was my birthday. It was a pretty good one. This year I haven’t really been feeling my birthday too much, but in the end I had a good one.

Constantine and I met up at the gym after work and we worked out, went home, showered and then went to HT Grill for dinner. Delicious! I had a Maple Apple Pork loin and he had Gorgonzola Flat Iron steak! My mouth is watering just thinking about them!

Went home after that and he gave me my gifts, I got a new battery for my laptop which was BADLY needed. Some cupcake mix from Sprinkles and some Olive oil and Vinegar! I can’t wait to try those out on the next italian food night!!

He’s such a great guy! 🙂 He even txted me “Happy Birthday” at exactly the right time! (6:41am!)

I was a little disappointed that one of my grandma’s didn’t even call me, but I guess she’s always very forgetful.

At dinner we had a discussion about work though. I have been working on this project for months and months now with our lead developer and one of the VPs here. Well the VP has been acting as the project lead, however now he is being pulled off onto other projects and no longer has the time. Well they picked a new project lead and I absolutely HATE this guy. He’s a total DOUCHE bag! I mean seriously, WTF! Why was _I_ not chosen for it. I have YEARS AND YEARS more experience then he does. Besides, he’s supposedly PACKED with other projects, I have a lot of projects, but could have EASILY fit this one in. It’s all very annoying because I see things like this happening and I keep getting passed up. At my last review, I was told that they were considering me for a full time Client On-Site trainer, well it appears they have picked someone else to do that now. I just wish they would FULLY follow through on ONE thing they promise me. Cisco training, was never completed, who knows of my current training will ever be completed, ugh.

My Aunt is coming to town on Thursday, I’m really looking forward to showing her around RB! Gotta find stuff to show/do!

Royality

What an excellent weekend!

Let’s see, Friday we were going to go to GGB. But Jason talked me out of it because he said that the line was going to be too long. Either way, Constantine and I ended up staying in and watching a movie called Driving Lessons. It was pretty entertaining.

Saturday we got up and went shopping. I spent the last of my Best Buy gift card. I really hate that store. Such over priced Crap. Constantine bought a new Apple Macbook! Yay for him! I also got a new mouse for my computer and bought the new Futurama Movie. We watched it on Sunday and it was pretty good.

After that we headed to Inglewood to look at an apartment complex that was for sale. Sooo ghetto. That night we had a dinner party at Jason’s, his cousin was there and we played Catch Phrase. I came up with the word “Royality” and to answer “Dime a dozen” I said, “Hookers!” Very funny times!

Sunday Constantine and I went hiking looking for this Nazi camp called Murphys Ranch where some crazy lady built a hige mansion with tons of neat underground stuff. We never did find it. Googled it when we got home and found out that we were on the wrong side of the canyon. Stopped at El Burrito on the way home and ran into Jason and his cousin again.

Constantine is Leaving!

So, last night Constantine told me that he’ll be going to Houston, TX for 6 months because of work.

We’ve known for a while that this was a possibility to happen, but we thought it wouldn’t happen till September or so. But instead he will be leaving in March!

I’m very sad! There’s lots of stuff that I wanted to do this summer with him that now we won’t get to do! :'(

And of course I’ll miss him tons and tons!

Training

Ugh! Yesterday was a really bad day for me…

First the accident.

Then I get to training and he comes in and basically starts with a pop-quiz… Picks me first and starts asking all these questions about databases and shit. Stuff I would have known back in college. Stuff that I know the concepts to, but not the technical terms.

Anyways, I don’t know any of his answers… He says. “Well you should have learned all that in the first part of this class”. Somehow I got signed up for “Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop II”… NOTICE the two “II” at the end? Well I didn’t until yesterday!

My CEO sent me a link a while back and said. “Sign up for this class”. The link was directly to the signup page which needed all kinds of personal information, so he couldn’t do it for me. I didn’t even bother to look at the title at the time. And now when I go back and look at the confirmation page that I printed it just says “Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop”. I had NO IDEA that I was being signed up for the level 2 class. I SHOULD have been in the Level 1 class! I don’t know that much about Oracle.

I don’t know if he just thinks I know more then I do, or what. But it was very stressful all day because of that, and the accident and my Insurance agent kept calling and what not. There were moments when I was about ready to just crawl under the desk and cry. lol

Last night I decided that I wasn’t in the mood to drive back to LA, and I had already planned on hanging out with Nick for a couple hours, so I asked if I could just crash there. He agreed, so I went down there and we had dinner at Koffee Klatch and watched October Sky. Which was an excellent movie.

Speaking of Movie, this past weekend was just excellent at least. Friday I picked up Const from the airport and dressed up as a chauffeur, with a sign even. I carried his bags for him and what not. Saturday we went shopping with Erick and Jason for the day then headed out to Pasadena for a Thanksgiving dinner. That was lots of fun to hang out with some of Constantine’s friends for once. Sunday we lounged around the house for a couple hours and then went to Best Buy to spend my Gift Certificate, which I again couldn’t really find anything that I wanted to spend the money on. After that we went and watched The Bucket List. It was a pretty good movie. I was crying by the end, but I would suggest waiting for it to come out for rent or something. Some stupid lady behind us kept talking through the whole movie! Very annoying. After the movie we went to Cheesecake factory for some food and chatting. It was all very nice.

It also rained a lot this weekend, which was very relaxing and great. When I was dropping const off at his house that night it was raining pretty good. I wanted to stand there for a bit and make out with him in the rain, but I’m sure he wouldn’t have liked doing that in front of his parents house! haha.

Anyways, today is day two of training, I must start studying up!

Adios!

Obama Wins Iowa!

Good job Iowa… with the whole Obama thing. Not so much on the Huckabee…. WTF were you thinking?

I’m glad that Obama won there and that Hillary was in second, although if things continue like this, that probably means Hillary would be vice-president… Anyways, I really don’t like that woman, I don’t want to see her in the White House.

But the whole Hukabee? WTF! I’m glad to see that Ron Paul got 10% of the votes, 6% more then Giuliani got. Ron Paul is great. lol

I found this thing on Digg yesterday about companies that helped and were built by Nazi Germany, pretty interesting read.

The last few days have been interesting. I worked in Temecula yesterday. Annoying ass drive! 180 miles in one day for a commute! The office out there is disgusting as well! Only two people work there, but there’s 6 computer terminal/desk things. There’s soda can’s and water bottles piled everywhere and nasty stains on the carpet! The two room office has only a SMALL window in the corner, which was covered up so basically no sunlight gets into the office at all. I sure hope I _NEVER_ have to go back to that gross place!

Constantine comes back tonight which is exciting, and tomorrow we have a dinner party with some of his friends. That will be fun to meet more of them. Then next weekend we are heading out to Vegas to meet up with Zach and Amanda, that will also be exciting. I’m really looking forward to it!

I’ve found some other fun articles lately.
1) 50 ways to be romantic
2) 41 ways to melt a women’s heart
– I know, I’m not a woman, but I still like the suggestions! 🙂

Adios!
