B-day

Oh, my.

First, drunk blogging is not a good idea. The computer should be TAKEN away from me when I am drunk!

Ok, so Saturday, I Spent the day alone in my apartment being very depressed and shit. Watched TV and laid on my couch in my underwear.

Austin finially called like 5ish and asked if I wanted to go to HM, I said I didn’t really feel like going out, but he talked me into it. So I decided to have a glass or two of wine before going so that it would be cheaper to drink once there. So over the two hour period of waiting for him to get there, I have the two glasses of wine and get VERY VERY drunk…

Ended up on my bathroom floor even before he got there. Thankfully he was smart enough to let himself in he took care of me for a few hours while I was throwing up, made me a hot dog and got me water, etc. So very kind of him. Though he was pretty mad at me for ruining his night. I felt so bad too, because I really did want to go out after the inital talking me into it. I think it would have been good. He left somewhere in there and I went to bed and slept till 5am when I got up and wrote him a note and then went back to bed till 9 when he called asking me about computer questions.

Oh, saturday I was out driving to the store and decided it was time to take the damn international calling off my cell phone, so I called up verizon and they have this damn automated system and it asks you for your billing zip code, while no matter what zip code I entered the damn thing WOULD NOT WORK! So when I finially got through to a woman I flipped out on her. I was so pissed. lol

Anyways, back to Sunday… Got up and went over to Austin’s about 10:30ish and we worked on his computer for a few hours. He’s trying to get Mac OSx86 installed on his computer, since you can supposedly do that. 🙂 Anyways, we got things going and then the HD that I gave him crapped out. So I’ve got to find him another one.

Once we got bored with that it was off to Oceanside to go shopping and to gamble some. We got down there and went to this big mall and got food. He had Sushi and I got some Chicken stuff. But I tried his sushi and it was pretty good really. So I’ll have to try more of it. Once we were done with food we walked around some and couldn’t find any stores that we liked so then we went car shopping. Which is always fun! 😀

Drove up north a bit to this little casino called Oceans Eleven, but Austin thought there was a bigger one around, so we drove some more and ended up back in San Clemente, so we never did get a chance to gamble, oh well. Drove around the beach some and then went back to his house. Basically spent the rest of the night there hanging out.

We watched Sword in the Stone, a movie I haven’t seen in FOREVER! I love that movie, but who knew it was so educatinal! lol. I went to the beach and watched the Sunset while Austin stayed at his house and rested. After that I went back to his place and we played cards and watched the normal sunday night line-up. IE, Simpsons, etc. 😀

We also went up to Baskin Robbins in there and got ice cream. It was so yummy!

As I was getting ready to leave he said, “Would you like your gift”. And honestly, I was completly floored that he would have gotten me anything! It was so kind and thoughtful of him. So he handed me this little box and I opened it and there’s this cute ass little ninja bobble-head thing. It’s so adorable! It has a special place on my desk. 😀

He finds out today if he gets the job in DC or not. I think I’m about as excited as he is to find out. It’ll really suck if he has to move. :'( He’s got another interview today at 1 and we are going out to lunch after that. Then tonight we are going to dinner with Robert and his bf.

Which brings up a point… There seems to be LOTS of confusion out there in internet land as to the standing of people in my life! I am NOT dating anyone. And I haven’t been dating anyone since Last May! Sure there are two obvious people in my life who I would like to be dating, but neither of them want anything like that out of me, which is perfectly fine. They have been making great friends. But you all mght be saying, “Damnit, Cj B, you spend so much time with these people and you cuddle in bed and sleep together, what the hell is that then?”… Well you should realize that when I’m not in a relationship, I always keep one friend who I’m extremely close too, someone I cuddle with, sleep with, etc. Jenkins was that friend back in Iowa… and Austin/Blake are those friends here now. Although, Jenkins and I did more then either Austin or Blake have done. haha.

But on the same topic, Austin hasn’t spent the night since Thursday when he flew back in from Oakland… Kinda sad really. 🙁 I was hoping that he would have spent the night some this weekend. But oh well. His mother flys in tomorrow, so I probably won’t be hanging out with him much this week.

Oh, also at least this year one set of Grandparents remembered to call me on my birthday! So Yay for that at least. 🙂

Overall, it didn’t turn out as badly as most. It was nice to have Austin around to hang out with and stuff. Even though I’ve known him less then a month. I’m really gonna miss that boy if he moves away.

Home DeSHIT!

So last night I started building my Patrol Box. So I went to Home Depot to buy some wood. Of course, I’m a homo, so I don’t really know what wood to get.. My dad always just goes and buys the wood and I build stuff. So I walk in there and start looking around, and I think I find some that will work for what I need, but I just want to double check with someone. So I walk up to the counter in the wood area and ask the guy standing there, “Excuse me, I just have a quick question”

To which he replys, “I’m off” and then walked away. Excuse me bitch! You are STANDING BEHIND THE COUNTER, it’s a quarter to 5, and you are wearing your fucking HD apron. YOU ARE STILL WORKING, you know they don’t have people get off at a quarter to the hour. And even if he really was OFF, or even if he was GETTING off at 5, he could have at least said, “I’ll go find you someone who can help you” Jackass. So I left.

Strange thing, everytime I go to fucking HD or Lowes, my dad always calls me… Very random! I tried asking him if it was the right stuff, but the discription on the thing wasn’t good enough for him to decide for sure.

I went to Lowes then and there was a very nice lady there who said she had no clue either and that she’d find someone who would help, And sure enough she did! So I got my lumber and started cutting it all last night. I have it half done. 😀 Then I’m going to prime it and put it together.

Work yesterday was ok. I’m finishing up all my annoying projects on the SA team before I get too engrossed in the CliOps stuff to get it done. So it was spent with lots of comparing things and updating data and stuff like that.

BTW, I was offered a private office with this promotion, but I’m not sure if I want to take it or not. I’d like the idea of not being stuck in the bull pin anymore, and having the added privacy when talking with clients on the phone. But at the same time, I don’t want to loose the socialness of the cubes. I thikn I’ll just wait and see how things go.

Blake is coming down today to hang out. That’s exciting. We’re going to go and pick out new glasses for me. 🙂

I had my appointment yesterday to get a new priscription. And the lady who did the first half was such a bitch. Like they do this field of vision test and she hands me this thing and is like, “Click this whenever you see one of these boxes.” So they start showing up and I start clicking and then after I do it like 5 times she’s like, “Oh, it’s just warming up, you don’t have to do it now”. The actual doctor lady was really nice and cool. But then I went to pay and since I’m an FB member I’m supposed to get 20% off on the exam, lenses, contacts, and frames. So I go to pay and hand them my FB card and they are like, “This only covers Contacts”. So I try and call the FB HD, but since it was a holiday they were closed. So I have to call them today to figure out what the fuck is up. I’ll be pissed if it really does only cover contacts!

Camping this weekend is still yet undecided as to where to go. I’m thinking Malibu Creek SP or Cuyamaca Rancho SP. I really wanted to hit up Catalina or Channel Islands, but Catalina will cost too much and Channel islands are a little more then what I want to take on right now, since you have to pack EVERYTHING into them.

Sex, Gilmore!

ARG! Can I fucking SCREAM at our Helpdesk guy? He’s telling LIES, LIES I tell you! God, so fucking annoying. You know, if I called and got someone like him at the Helpdesk, I would fucking hang up on his ass. Our software is slow NOT BECAUSE we as SA’s and DBA’s haven’t done our job, there’s MORE then enough power to serve the sort of application that we host. Someone fire him!

Anyways, so yesterday was pretty busy… I had lots of stuff to do in the morning and got that going, then right before lunch I got a huge project that I sorta stole from someone else. It’s going to be exciting, getting Oracle 64bit running on x86_64 Linux. 🙂 So yeah. But as I was going to go talk to someone about it Austin called, so we went off to lunch. It was a nice lunch we went to this mexican place and I had a Cheese thing. I was so stuffed! After that we walked over to Staples cause it was right there and he tried to convert me back to windows and I tried to convert him to apple! I’d have to say so far that’s the only annoying thing about him, is that he’s a windows geek! Gahh! Chris Pirillo comes to mind. That man annoys the hell out of me!

So I got back from lunch and started talking to people about it and got CentOS installed. Also someone else showed up and I had to help them with an RCF file. I finially got out of here at 2:30 and got home and then went on my bike ride. Got home and showered then talked to Austin and invited him over to watch the new gilmore girls, since he had never seen it.

So he went to the gym and then came over and we hung out. Watched an Episode of Sex and the City, which I have to admit is a very funny show. After that we talked for like 20 minutes till GG came on then watched that. It was an OK episode, not the best ever. I think this series is really coming to an end. The whole Luke has a daughter thing is a little out there.

Speaking of though, The West Wing really needs to end. This season has just NOT been that good. I’ve heard that this will be the last season and it will end with the announcement of the new president. So we’ll see.

After that we watched House, which was ok, but I didn’t really enjoy it that much and then we watched another epsidoe of sex and the city, then he gave me a nice back rub, then I kicked him out cause I had to go to bed. It was nice hanging out with him.

Blake says that today is Jimmy’s funeral, or something like that. Seems really quick to me, that they could cremate him and ship him back so fast. But I guess that’s the way it is. Sad as it is. I’m strangely effected by it. I’m not really sure how I can explain it.

Susan e-mailed me again yesterday. It’s nice that she keeps e-mailing me and asking how my life is, but I’m just not too sure about what to say back to her anymore. I haven’t talked to her son in like over a month now, so it just seems wierd.

OMG! Yesterday was a HUGE day for us Apple fans! TWO Intel macs introduced, and some cool new software! I can’t wait! Who wants to buy it for me?

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, I thought it was funny shit:

I’m very annoyed with this woman who I’ve been trying to write a fucking report for for a while now. I’ve got the damn thing automated, I did that before christmas, but as we know, that wasn’t the report she wanted. So I re-wrote it, and sent her a sample report. Last week she called me and I spent like 30 minutes on the phone explaining to her WHY the report she got that week was empty. (Simple answer: no one fucking entered anything that regarded the report)

Anyways, THIS week comes along and ALAS! Still NO ONE has entered data that would have been included on this fucking report. So then I get this damn e-mail from her complaining that “I know people worked on this project, so why didn’t I get a report with data. I want to come there and meet you and JT”. Well it was MUCH more detailed and complainy, but whatever. So I do a manual report out of the system and send that onto JT. This woman gets on my fucking nerves. The reports ARE WORKING!

Austin and I might be having lunch today, he’s got an interview right down the street, so he’s going to come over here after. That should be entertaining. lol.

MacWorld starts today, rumors are of new Intel Powerbooks, along with Frontrow on more systems! Woot!

I also finially ditched MiNews for Feed… MiNews was always such a fucking memory hog, sometimes using as much as 500Megs, it seems that Feed is much less of one and also allows you to browse feeds while it’s updating. MiNews would lock down and you couldn’t do anything while it was updating. And since I have over 100 feeds that it updates every 30 minutes, well. That takes a while. lol

I’m going to play with it for a while longer, but I already see some things that annoy me about it. The fact that there’s no way to force the newest posts to the top. (You can sort by date, but since the feeds are from all around the globe, they have different time stamps, thus the newest are not ALWAYS at the top).

There was something else that I wanted to bitch about, but now I’ve forgotten.

I’ve decided that when I get older, I want a log cabin in the Mountians of Montana. I want my partner and I to spend winters there, and have a nice big fire place and a ranch type thing. It’ll be so cool.

I really want to buy a house around here.. I’ve been talking to Jim and Deb and it just gets me wanting one. LIke we were talking about the house prices around here and the rent prices and it just pisses me off so much that I’ve thrown away basically $24,000 in the last two years I’ve been here because of Rent. If I had bought a place at least I’d have that invested into something. But it all depends on how much longer I want to be here.

I think that DS and BT might be reading my blog. After I bitched about BT the other day he was kinda bitchy to me at work the enxt day, and DS mentioned something about it being christmas here and my feeling left out. lol. Maybe it was just a coincidence. But it’s strange. I hear that SR has a blog too, but I’ve yet to find it. Someone here had his site linked, but it’s just a blank page. lol.

I also want to move my server to my house, but Cox blocks port 25 for incoming/outgoing mail. Anyone know how to get around this without paying for a mailforward?

There was a REALLY hot boy in the elevator just a bit ago. All dressed up in a suit and yummy! Rarr. He works on the 16th. 🙂 I think he was giving me eyes too.

Speaking of hot boys though. Blake comes tomorrow, and it’s for sure he’s coming down to the OC! So we’re going to hang out at my place and I’m going to cook! Yay!

I was bored this weekend, so I checked out the drugs that the vet gave my cat. Strangly enough they are both HUMAN drugs. One is used for treating Stomach cancer in humans and the other is used to stop the vomiting caused by the cancer drugs! How random?! Anyways, she’s out of drugs now, but she didn’t throw up this morning, so that’s good news. I’m getting really sad about having to keep her locked away in the bathroom all day, but I don’t want her throwing up on my good rug.

I washed my car this weekend too, it’s pretty now. 🙂

The below is probably the most frivolous rant ever…

The developers here are pigs. Every Friday we have dougnut day here in our 7th floor office. Every friday the developers come down before everyone in our office gets here and they take the majority of the doughnuts! Bastards. They have doughnuts on the 15th floor quite a bit as well, but we never go up there and steal them. Also, whenever we get good breakfast bars/etc on our floor they come down and take pretty much the whole box. Yet they still have thier own supply up on the 15th floor. I was just up there a few minutes ago and apparently last week they got one of those HUGE gift baskets with cheese and crackers and meat and I even saw caviar in there…. It came from the company we rent the office space from, yet no one from our office went up there and raided it! Bastards.

Not that I need to be pigging out on that shit anyways. lol
