Fires, Downtown, The Getty, Dinner Party! Oksana HERE!

Wow, what another crazy busy weekend!

So Friday I got off work a little early and wen out to my car…

Turned the key and my car sputtered a little bit, started and then died. I turned the key again and it chugged a bit and started, I start to pull out of my spot and then it died. But this time very strange, because the tach and gas gauge didn’t go down to 0 like normal. They just hung where they were! Very odd. Turn the key again and NOTHING. Not a sound or anything. So I start to freak out, call a few people, but no one answered. So I tried again, and it started, I pull out of my place and go about a mile to the gas station. Just as I’m pulling up to the pump it dies. I get gas, start it up again and head over to the nearest Auto parts store, ended up having to buy a new battery.

Got home and cleaned and what not then Constantine came over.

Saturday we got up and picked up Oksana from the airport. Headed up north and stopped at Nordstrom Rack and then Helen’s to buy me a new Ghisallo helmet.

From there we headed north to The Getty spent a few hours there and ran into Mok. From there we headed up Sunset Drive and then to Rodeo Drive and then off to Hollywood and Highland. The winds really started to pick up about that time.

Called Jason once we were done there and headed over to Steve’s house, walked down to Hamburger Mary’s and ate dinner then walked down to The Abbey. Drove home after that.

Sunday morning we got up and did a walk on the beach, everything was VERY hazy that morning, but we weren’t sure why. Drove down to San Pedro and it got even worse. Headed up to Chinatown and then Olvera street after that and ate lunch. Met up with Jason about 2:30 and went flying which is when we finally figured out there were fires all around LA! Malibu is on fire, Canyon country, Ontario, Irvine and San Diego. There’s fires EVERYWHERE and now this morning it’s very very smoky smelling here. Very scary. Check out the Flickr pics of the Malibu Fires.

Anyways, after the flying we went and had a dinner party at Jason’s then drove Oksana up to her hotel.

It was another AMAZING weekend!

Scones and My Kitty!

Wow. I have a lot to talk about here…

Last night was very busy. I went to the gym for an hour and biked. Then came home and cleaned the kitchen in prep for the night.

Constantine came over and he brought me a present! One of those memory foam things for my bed! How nice of him! 🙂

So we went grocery shopping and bought all the stuff we needed to make. Spent the whole night cooking and baking and having a good time! We made Peach Apricot glaze chicken, Ham and Cream Cheese Roll ups, and Pumpkin Scones! All of them turned out excellent except for the Pumpkin Scones, which weren’t horrible, but also not great!

We had a really good time making all those even though it was very hectic because I was also dealing with a large issue at work.

While we were icing the scones though my mom called. I answer and she tells me she’s at the animal hospital…..

My kitty (Elvis) the one that Adam saved from the street died last night. 🙁 He had a heart attack. It was very sad news. He wasn’t all that old either really…

RIP Elvis…

In other news. I’ve been working very hard on updating Gas Tracker. It’s a neat little PHP thing to help you track your gas receipts. The guy who wrote it originally hasn’t updated it in over a year, and it was a mess if you ask me. So I put it all into classes and basically completely re-wrote it all. It still has a lot of work to do (Mostly on the whole Maint Events part) but it’s very nice. You can see my Stats Here!

Next I am going to work on something very similar only for paychecks! Should be much easier to write as well. Cause everyone knows I’m a stats whore!

Oksana comes this weekend and I’m very excited! Cleaning and what not tonight and then tomorrow morning we pick her up from the airport, then to the Getty!

OK. I’m out everyone. Bye!

Patrick Wolf

So last night I went out to a concert in LA with Constantine. We saw a guy named Patrick Wolf. He was VERY gay. But also VERY VERY VERY good. Lots of craziness at his concert and lots of energy. Check out the video below…

We got there at 8:00 and he didn’t go on till 10:30. The place was so hot, but I had a ton of fun! Well worth going.

He also kept taking clothes off throughout the concert! Very yummy. There was some crazy french man standing in front of us.

Anyways, towards the end he threw out a cape thing into the audience and boys went CRAZY! Like 10-15 people ON THE FLOOR fighting over it. In the end we saw three of them standing at the bar with it still wrapped in their fists having the bar tender cut it into pieces for them all!

If he’s ever in your area, I highly suggest going to check it out!

UPDATE: So I’m being linked too by some board. These are the FREAKS who were fighting over the cape and trampling on top of people.. And they are calling my blog sad? Excuse me? I’m not the one in LOVE with patrick wolf and am pissed that he didn’t stare at me the whole time, etc. Get a life people.

So we got home about 1am and I decided that I would sleep in, so put my phone on silence. Well I got up at 8am this morning and showered and then watched an episode of The Daily Show and then started driving into the office. On my way there, I remembered that my phone was on silence, so I checked it… Three missed calls from the CEO and one missed call from a coworker! Oh GREAT!

Thankfully I was able to walk them through fixing the issues over the phone!

All My Songs – 2

So last time it took me over 5 months to listen to all my songs. For some reason this time it only took me 3 months!

Last night I got home and did some work. Sat down on the couch to watch a little TV and take a break and then ended up falling asleep. I didn’t get anything else done. Tonight I’m going to a Patrick Wolf concert with Constantine.

Down on YOU in a Theater!

Wow, what a weekend!

So, Friday afternoon Constantine came over and we watched Boy Culture. It was a pretty good gay movie really. Not as horrible as most. After that we went out to Boys Room in Long Beach with Jason and Mok. It was one crazy night there. Lots of insane boys in LB but it was a lot of fun. Did some dancing and what not as well.

Got home from that about 2:30am and it was raining out. Saturday Constantine and I got up and headed out to Montrose to eat breakfast at Black Cow Cafe. Really good food. If you are ever in that area, I highly suggest checking it out! After that we headed over to the LA Zoo.

The Zoo was lots of fun and it’s pretty big. I really want to get to the San Diego zoo and Wild Animal park here soon though because I’ve head they are much better!

I also dropped off my car that morning to get the brakes done… They called me while we were at the Zoo and said that they needed to do tonnnns of other stuff. Said it was going to cost nearly $900 total! I told them NO and to just do the brakes. Which ended up costing just over $560 anyways. Fucking cars! The place was going to charge me $100 for a new battery! Some of it I do actually need to do, but I can do it myself for much cheaper!

From the Zoo we headed up Mulholland to this really neat overlook of LA. After that we headed back to my place. Where we all decided to have a very impromptu dinner party at Jason’s house. Went and got ELBj and drinks from Albertson’s and Trader Joes. Ended up playing cards till like 10 and then went home and crashed in bed.

Sunday got up and Constantine and I headed up to the valley area to meet up with his sister and some of his friends. Went to Soup Plantation for lunch and then saw the movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age. It was a very good movie! I really loved the dresses and the sets and everything! You should go see it. His friends were all very nice.

Came home from that and we went for a walk on the beach. We’re going to start walking a couple miles a day so that we can be ready for Europe’s walking adventures!

Constantine left after that and I laid down on the couch to watch the Simpsons and what not. But I didn’t even make it through that before I was sound asleep. So I just went to bed.

This morning I got up and on my way into work I was listening to 104.3 My FM and they played “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette. They got to the part where she says. “Down on you in a theater”… They silenced it out! UGH! What is wrong with this country! Idiots.

In other news, I’m still very annoyed with the landlord for raising my rent. I’m really considering moving in with Jason now. My place is just NOT WORTH $1,400 a month! Asshole. The people on the end unit moved out too, but I haven’t seen a sign go up in the front yard yet. So I’m not sure what’s up with that I wonder why he hasn’t advertised it. I’ve also really been contemplating just buying that place on 204th street that I looked at a while back, although it’s in the GHETTO now, I’m sure it’ll just get better. Fucking HATE renting! I have to buy a place ASAP! Or get the hell out of here!

Also, today marks 7 years of blogging! Yay!

And today marks 2 months with Constantine!

Photos from the weekend are here!

Ok. I’m out. Laters all!!!
