Not a Way to Start.

I’ve already put out one fire so far this morning. Damn computers!

So I had this random ass dream last night, about me and Skinny…. How random, cause I haven’t seen him in years! We were spending a weekend together at my grandparents for some reason. And we showered together, but nothing sexual happened. We were just hanging out as friends. Very strange. I’d really like to see Mike again, although we were never good friends, he was always fun to hang out with.

I’ve been awake since 1 this morning. Blah. 🙁

Good news! I might get to see Blake on the 13th. And depending on if he can get away from the Monster-In-Law, he might be coming all the way down to the OC! So I’m excited already, but I’ll be super duper excited once all the plans are finialized!

Got the company christmas party invites yesterday. Cocktails at 6:30 and then dinner at 7, with free passes to the park for all day. Blah!

I also got another e-mail from the guy offering me a job. It’s like the exact SA job that I want, here’s the description he gave me:

The specific duties include ordinary things like dealing with our various hardware devices & related applications – linux & mac servers, email & ftp & web servers, routers, firewalls, mac laptops, asterisk phone switch, backups, monitoring, telecom lines, network printers, etc. – mostly in support of your co-workers and sometimes for our clients. For example, we have demanding & changing security compliance requirements and we need to change/improve many things to meet those requirements. Also we want to implement enterprise-class disaster recovery (using a combination of interesting opensource technologies like xen & drbd). Also we want to implement a global ldap/directory system for our distributed offices & clients (haven’t yet decided whether to use apple’s or redhat’s ldap implementations). Also we want to implement a wikipedia-like system for our product documentation (would be used by thousands of users around the world). Also we want to upgrade our bugzilla issue tracking system and integrate it more tightly with our business partners. Also want to automate monitoring of our systems & services. As you might imagine, there is no end to the projects necessary to keep a company modern & competitive, and you would play a role in many of them.

AND they just switched from all Desktop PCs to Mac desktops! Woot! It sounds like an amazing job.. Sad thing is that I’d have to take a 15,000 pay cut. Which I really don’t want to be doing. So yeah.

I wish my cat would understand that taking these damn pills is for her own good! Stupid animals.

Blake made me watch this amazing movie yesterday called, “House of Sand and Fog.” I dunno how old it is, but if you haven’t seen it you MUST go watch it! I was crying 30 minutes into the movie and it only got sader from there… But I HATE the fucking Cop man, he’s a freaking bitch, I wish the kid would have shot him.

But you know I’ve been very emotional lately because commercials have been making me cry, so yeah.

I want to go romp around in the snow with someone sexy and make snow angels!

On Friday I was in Laguna Beach and found my next art purchase. It’s an original, 7feet wide by 6feet tall. It’s amazing. Now I just have to save money to buy it!

So last night I decided to go to B&N and buy “The Confusion”. Anyways, while I was looking for it I came across “Don Quixote”. There were 7 fucking different publications of the book! SEVEN?!?! Who in thier right mind needs to stock 7 different versions of the same damn book!?

I called Andrew because I knew he’d at least semi care.. We ended up talking for like 40 minutes about random shit. His mother is so crazy!

Umm, not much else went on last night, or yesterday. I finially got Coldfusion working on Solaris. PAIN IN THE ASS! It’s still not set up the way it SHOULD be, but we finially just gave up and am doing it another way. We’re hopefully going to get some x86 boxes soon so that I can install Linux on it and get Coldfusion set up the way it SHOULD be. Plus the Solaris box is SO SLOW. I honestly don’t see why ANYONE buys these damn things.

More Riots in Paris. It’s not looking good now, because they are talking about curfews, and bringing in the military. Hopefully this doesn’t affect the other areas.

I was asked yesterady to re-write a project I’ve spent weeks writing in PHP. They wanted it done in Coldfusion now. I refused. I don’t see why they want MORE things written in Coldfusion either. The Coldfusion server is expenisve, slow and it’s all proprietary to Macromedia. I think it’s just stupid. I really need to spend more time working on it. But other projects that are just more interesting keep coming up. And now that it looks like I have time, the person in charge of it is out of town till Wed, and then I’m working a short day Wed, so we won’t get to talk about it for almost 2 weeks! I suppose I could go in and clean up some code and get it working on another box. Because that honestly needs to be done soon.

The RAZR is coming to Verizon on Nov 28th. I’m so excited for this! Time for a new phone! Woot! Sadly I don’t think I will have any money then. 🙁

Attack of the Frenchie!

OMG, I was attacked by a French man yesterday!

Umm.. I only spent about 3 hours in the office yesterday, but that’s ok, because I was working till 11pm last night again! haha. I left the office at 1ish and went over to the Tustin Mazda dealer. Wondered around the lot for about 15 minutes and didn’t see a SINGLE salesman. So I left. Bastards. Guess I don’t need a new car. haha.

Came home after that and hung out. Then started working again about 3ish. Got a lot of stuff done, but for some reason I can’t get apache to talk to jrun. Fucking coldfusion! And macromedia’s documentation SUCKS ASS! Grrr.

Got my Mary Tyler Moore Season 2 disks yesterday. I’m way excited about that. 😀

About 6ish I got bored here and went down to the Klatch. Hung out there till 10 doing work. Then came home and worked for another hour because I couldn’t ge tto sleep. Damn coffee!

Anyways. I was sitting there minding my own business when this damn drunk frenchie came up and started talking to me! He WOULD NOT shut up. It was so annoying. He asked me where I worked and what i did like 5 times and he kept blabbing and going on and grr. It was so annoying because all the hot boys were JUST starting to show up too! And the only way to really get away from him was to leave. So that’s what I had to do. 🙁 Damn Frenchie. I might go back down there today though. It was nice to just hang out and get some work done.

I have lots of laundry to do, but I don’t really feel like doing it today.

Dorian & Morrison

So I went and saw Dorian Blues yesterday… It was AMAZING! The best gay movie I’ve ever seen… Lots of sarcastic humor which everyone knows I love. Plus it was sad and made me cry… Everyone should go see it!

Yesterday was also a very productive day in the coding area. I got so much done! But I really have to start using functions more in PHP. I hate that I never really got into using them in HS because now I just never use them here either. lol

I’ve been invited to the Astricon party tonight. Not sure if I’ll go or not. I didn’t get much sleep last night.

I’ve been having two recurring dreams lately. One Happy Sad, the other Sad Sad. 🙁 Very random.

Also, if I ever have boys, I’m going to name them Dorian and Morrison. Such hot names!

OH! One last thing… Apple announced a TON of new really fucking cool products yesterday… Including the VIDEO iPOD! How fucking sweet! Too bad I already have a4th Gen one… I can’t justify buying this one. 🙁 Maybe when the next revision comes out.

Apparently the OCBSA doesnt’t really want adult leaders… Because I have now e-mailed 4 people in the District office and only ONE of them has got back to me.. THe only thing he said, “E-mail so-and-so”. I had already e-mailed him. It’s been over a week now since I last e-mailed someone! Bah!

And the fucking stock market needs to STOP GOING DOWN! Two of my funds are nearly back to where they were back in Jan… All the others are still up though so that’s good. Fucking stocks!

And LASTLY (I swear this time). I got the new IS250 pricing… Sadly, the model I wanted (With navi) is about 3k out of my price range now. I can still get the base IS250. But I think Lexus is completly gone out of my line up now. 🙁

I Lied… THREE more things

1. The new movie… Nanny McPhee… Looks like a total rip off, and a horrible movie.

2. I randomly found a reciept in a book I was reading yesterday… The reciept was from 3/19/2002 From the Ankeny Hy-Vee deli for Chinese food. Haha. Oh how those days were fun!

3. The new iTunes is AMAZING! I just watched the introduction of all the new products (Get the link from my digg stories at right). OMG, I want one of the new iMacs too.. AMAZING AMAZAING AMAZING! I love apple!

New People Weekend

Wow, I haven’t updated all freaking weekend! How crazy is that?

I have an excuse. This weekend was new people weekend.. Although I only met two new people, that’s a lot more then I’ve met in a long time. Haha.

Going back to Friday. I broke one of the Xbox’s here. It was working just fine and everything, then I rebooted it and plugged it into the HDTV here and now it says. “Your xbox needs maint, please call M$”.. And I’m like there’s NO WAY we’re calling M$. Because we’ve modded it and put linux on it. But can you imagine how funny that convo would be… That is right before they send the M$ police after us.

So I went home at noon to make up for my extra time the week before. And chatted with Blake for a while. He was going up to Fresno for the weekend to visit family. AFter that I went on a bike ride then came home and hung out for a little bit. Then went and saw the new Wallace Ang Gromit. It was pretty good.. But I just read on CNN that the warehouse where they house everything burned down! How sad.

This guy randomly IMed me, and as we all know I don’t like hanging out with people I fresh meet off the internet, but he lived JUST down the street. So I was like, “Sure you can come over for an hour or two” Anyways. He came over and we ended up playing video games till 1:30 in the morning. lol. I felt SO nerdy.

We played this AMAZING game from japan where you are a ball and you have to go around and roll things up. It’s called KatamariDamacy It’s amazing! lol.

Umm, he left and I went to bed. Got up Saturday and went on a short bike ride. It was a little cold. After that I went to Costco and almost died. Some stupid bitch was turning left and didn’t yield to me. The whore didn’t even attempt to stop once she saw me coming. Bitch. Anyways, I went there just to get Cat Litter and protien bars. Ended up spending $85 there. lol. Came home and cleaned the apartment. Then called Andrew and talked to him for an hour and a half.

After that Brian came over again and we played more video games. He was a lot of fun, but he’s one of those OC homo’s that annoy me. Because he’s “Straight” and he got like 4 or 5 phone calls while he was there and lied to everyone about where he was at. I’ll probably hang out with him again because like I said, we had tons of fun. He’s also a little young, only 18 (19 next month), but still.

He left my house about 9ish on Saturday and I went to bed. Got up Sunday and just spent the whole day lounging around. I watched all the stuff that my MythBox had recorded the week before.

About 6ish, this guy Vinnie, who I’ve been talking too online asked if he could come over. I guess he’s being shipped off to Florida today (Actually he left 3 hours ago) and then is being shipped to Iraq (yes, he’s in the military). Anyways, I said sure, so he came over and we watched the Notebook. It was such a sad movie, but it was mostly lost on me because Vinnie kept talking throughout the WHOLE FUCKING MOVIE!

He was also really short. It was funny. But again, he was nice. we might hang out again if he makes it back from Iraq alive. However, he’s the same as Brian… One of those “Straight” OC boys. Grr!

You know, I really don’t get that.. I can understand wanting people to think you are straight, it does make life easier. But why HIDE who you are. I mean, I tend to think that I”m pretty straight acting. I honestly think that the only major thing that would give me away would be the fact that I like to hug my friends when we are departing ways. But if someone comes up to me and asks. “Are you gay” I would tell them yes. Whatever!

Neither of them were dating potential though… However, Brian was very cute. lol

I watched Bravo’s “Great Things ABout Being Queer” this weekend too, and was very annoyed by it. It was just so stereotypical and shit. And what the hell does Rocco (From NBC’s “The Resturant”) know about being gay?!

Well that was basically my weekend. More fun then I’ve had in a while. Hopefully Brian will hang out again and not disapear as most people seem to do after hanging out with me a few times… What do I do to these people!? lol.
