All My Songs!

So I just completed listening to EVERY song I own. It only took me since March 8, 2007. So just over 5 months! Oh my!

I’m working on a quick little PHP script to do some cool shit with my iTunes Library information to produce some statistics and what not.

So last night I hung out with Constantine again. We had dinner and then came back to my place to watch a Meet the Fockers. It was funny. I also met up with some lady to buy my coffee table and bookshelf I have. They have always both been way to big for my place. So she comes with a cargo van and the thing doesn’t fit at all. She just bought the coffee table. But the point is that she would not shut up! blah blah blah blah blah. Omg. Crazy woman. I gave her directions to get back to Santa Monica via the coast.

Today I had lunch with Nick, Dustin, Robert and two other people. Dustin was wearing a greyish t-shirt with an elephant on the back and these really cute plaid looking shorts and some flip-flops. He also didn’t shave. πŸ™‚ I don’t think his private clients would enjoy that feeling!

I’ve been insanely busy at work. Too much to do. Adios!

America’s Healthcare!

Oh my. It’s been a busy weekend for a boy is who broken!

So Friday I went into the office and worked. No surprises there! I got a lot of stuff done, but still feel like I have way to much to get caught up on. I must start learning our new product and learn it fast.

After work I went out with Dustin. We ate at The Veggie Grill again and then went and saw Sicko. Such a good film. I think it’s the best Michael Moore film so far! I was crying at the end of it and just sooo pissed off. After the movie we were talking to one of Dustin’s friends about it and he mentioned starting like a credit union for healthcare. That’d be a pretty cool idea! I wonder what it would take to do? I just can’t believe that healthcare is so bad here in the US. It made me want to move to the EU even more. JT? When I can I move?

We also had ice cream and saw some really gay Irvine boys. What a mess.

Came home after that and talked to Constantine for a short while. We made plans to hang out Saturday.

So Saturday I get up and head up to Santa Monica to meet him. I was just going to park my car at the office up there and then we were going to go to The Huntington. Well I got to the office and went to park… “Card not found”! WTF! The bastards canceled my parking card! πŸ™ So now I can’t go up there at all! I wonder if I can still get into the office itself.

Anyways, so we went to the Huntington and had a great time. Lots of pretty flowers and what not. But it was ungodly hot and sweaty. After that we came back to my place and showered (separately) and then hung out here and talked and watched movies. We saw this one called Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain, Le. It was a very good movie. Although a little crazy and it had subtitles which we all know I hate! Apparently he says it’s famous? So if you haven’t seen it, go watch it!

Some random Asian guys came over about 8:30 and bought my camera off me. So Constantine and I went out to HTGrill to celebrate. Yay for getting money! πŸ™‚

He left here about midnight and I went to bed. Got up Sunday at 8, laid down on the couch and then woke up again at noon! What’s wrong with me!!?

Sunday evening Dan came over and we hung out. We went to Good Stuff and then watched Romancing the Stone. I didn’t really like that movie very much.

Also, it took me three years, but my bed is NO LONGER sitting on the floor! How exciting is that!

I’ve also booked a camp site at San Simeon State Park for July 27-29. Let me know if you want to go. One of the days we will be going to Hearst Castle. Should be tons of fun. And the more people we get to go the better!!

I also found this hilarious convo on bash.org. Oh you crazy religious people!

And lastly, check out this amazing coordinated dance thing:

If only marching band were more like that! πŸ™‚

Of course pictures from the weekend can be found on the photodump. Hopefully I will soon be adding more once Constantine get’s me his from his professional camera! Also, be sure to check out the other new galleries. Which include pictures of my ass, and the trucks I looked at.

A LONG Weekend!

Oh my god… This weekend, I DROVE… All over hell. Over 450 miles this weekend alone. What craziness.

So Friday, I got home from work and headed up to Santa Monica to hang out with this guy Dan. Who had an amazing DVD/CD collection. I went through all his DVD’s and that took about an hour. We ended up watching Vacation. I had a good time. I went home after that and went to bed.

Got up Saturday morning and went and washed my car. I’ve got this Astroturf in my bathroom under the cat litter. It’s been a while since I last cleaned it good, so I took it to the car wash with me and spent like 2 whole minutes trying to wash it out completely. I thought I got it pretty clean and then just threw it in my trunk and drove home. Took it out as soon as I got there and found out that there was a LOT more water left in it then I thought, so there was a ton of NASTY smelling water all over my trunk! I tried to clean it all up but my car smells SOOO bad now! πŸ™ I took out all the carpeting and shit from the trunk Sunday night so that helped some.

After that disaster, I headed out on my road trip to check out some nice wonderful trucks…

The first one was a 1956 F250. It’s a good body and good looking truck, but needs a lot of interior work done to it. New handles, new carpet, work to the dash, needs a new bed, etc. Lots of over spray from a previous paint job that hadn’t been corrected. It also had a LOT of oil on the transmission, etc. Not sure how normal that is, but it was a little concerning. The guy selling it was HOT and I thought I was getting a little gay vibe from him. But probably not. I got a lot of great information out of him and I think no matter what truck I buy, he could be a good resource for the future.

Second was a 1954 Ford F100. Great looking truck. The guy said he hadn’t driven it in a year though. It had leaked basically all it’s transmission fluid, we got in and it started right up. Took it out on a test drive… We’re driving down the street and this truck pulls out in front of us. Slam on the breaks and they go straight to the floor.. THERE’S NO BRAKES! OMG! Grab the emergency break to stop it… SCARY! The truck has no rust, and it’s nice and complete truck. All new interior, etc. One issue is that the guy said the previous owners rebuilt the engine and then it sat for 6 years. So he’s not sure how many miles, are on the engine and since it sat so long the seals, etc could be a bit dry/etc. He said he’d take $1k off the price to get the brakes fixed (Probably just need to be bleed out)

The third was the same guy, it was a Studebaker. Nice looking yellow truck, but needs more work then I’d be willing to put into it.

The fourth was a 1956 F100. This one was a real POS. Needs TONS of work. I took one look at it and said no thanks! What a mess.

The last one is the best and of course the most expensive! A 1955 F100. Everything is all new, GREAT paint job (although not an original color which is a little annoying), great new interior (and also the only one with seat belts) and drove great. The only concern I had was that the steering was a little lose. He said it probably just needed to be adjusted. He’d already come down from $18k, so I’m not sure there’s much wiggle room for price.

Saturday night I stayed home and watched Can’t Hardly Wait. Very interesting movie with lots of hot boys!

Sunday I got up early and headed up to Hollywood to meet up with Ran and Enver. We went out on a short little 15 mile ride. It was really good to see them again since the Lifecycle ride. They’re very great people. The ride was very pretty. We went up into the valley and around Griffith park and WB studios.

Came home and showered real quick and then the neighbor and I headed up to Port Hueneme, CA. It was a great little town. The neighbor is looking at buying a house/condo up there so we looked at a few of those. I went up with her to check out one more truck this weekend. A 1956 F100 Panel Truck. This was by far one of the most interesting trucks I saw this weekend. The guy who owns it sounded like a real ass on the phone, but ended up being pretty nice. The engine is pretty much unknown to him, but it was his daily driver for many years so it’s probably about ready for a rebuild/etc. It would also need a lot of interior work. New side wall coverings, etc. It’s a VERY interesting truck though which is nice. And the guy is apparently desperate for cash. He was willing to take $3k off the price right there.

We headed up to Ventura after that and ate at this random place called “I Love Sushi”. And boy, do I love the sushi there. I highly suggest getting the “In & Out Roll” very good! So if you’re ever in Ventura, Ca. I highly suggest you go there.

Got home about 8, had just enough time to read my emails from the day and then went to bed. It was another morning of getting up at 3:30am and dealing with stupid people at the HD!

On the way into the office, I heard this song on the radio called “Dear Mr. President” by Pink. Apparently it was released forever ago. But I’ve never heard it before and if you haven’t. I suggest going and checking it out.

I also found this very interesting Wold Clock on digg the other day. This clock has stats collected from all over the world, showing population, prison growth, births, US illegal immigrations, divorces, species extinct, forests lost, barrels of oil, and LOADS more, including in depth death stats. Highly interesting.

Adios!

So Friday I had my yearly review at the office. Usually something has been going on at this point in the year and I just happened to get a raise anyways. But this year nothing was really going on so I brought it up to the boss. It ended up being pretty good. We got to talk about what happened with the client’s office closing and where things were going. I got some really good feed back as well. In the end I got a 7% raise which is nice. We also talked about the possibility of me moving to London still. Apparently two of the people there want to come back. However, it’s a REALLY long shot. So I’m not going to get my hopes up for it. But I’ll still be hoping it does happen.

Friday night I went out with Nick and Dustin to a concert in Laguna. This guy Trevor Hall. He was very good and oh so hot! You should all go check out some of his music. I bought his album on iTunes this morning. And he’s also in the Shrek The Third movie.

While we were there I tried this really good new desert called spanakopita. It was so good. I’m going to have to make myself some. Left there about 10 and went home. I got home and my neighbor was just getting home as well and we were outside talking for MAYBE 5 minutes, and we weren’t being very loud either when some bitch up stairs came out and said. “Can you keep it down, I’m trying to sleep” all bitchy! UGH! I wish I knew who it was. We think it was one of the girlfriends of the guy upstairs.

Saturday I slept in late and then went to brunch with the neighbor and Erick. There’s a crazy street fair going on here, so we hung out at that for a while as well. Erick and I found these CUTE ass gifts that we each got for the little people in our lives. Keira’s B-day isn’t till August, but I’m going to send it to her this week because you need it for summer! OMG! It’s soo cute, I wish I could tell you all about it! After that Erick and I hit the beach for an hour.

Mac or PC, found this the other day. HILARIOUS!

Sunday I was going to get up at 7 and bike up to Santa Monica to meet Team 100 then ride back to Hermosa for brunch. I went to bed at 9 Saturday night and when 7 rolled around I was just still way too tired. Ugh! I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’ve been sooooooo tired! So I just lounged around the house for most of the day. That afternoon I drove up to Santa Monica to meet up with Charles Phoenix. We were talking and I mentioned this amazing 1961 Ford F-100 Stepside Shortbed that is for sale at a dealer down the street form me. He got me all excited about it and said that I should really stop and check it out. So on my way home I did They want $20,000 for it! NADA says that the high retail value is about $16k. It would be interesting to see how much they actually get for this truck. It’s not even a very good restoration job either (The seams are not even at ALL, you can see where they just painted over the rust, etc). I found another one on CL that’s only $9,000 but who knows how much work it would need. I would _love_ to have one of these things though!

After CP I met up with this guy Aurthur from the valley. We hung out for like 3 hours. He brought his HUGE dog which has to weight almost as much as he does. That was fun times though.

So that was my weekend. Adios!

Code Monkey

Haha, Great video I found on AndyB’s site.

Wow what a weekend! Let’s see, so Friday I worked and then went down to Laguna to apartment search with Nick. We found some ok places, one really nice place in Dana Point, but I think that is just too far south! After that we went to Harbor House and had dinner then went and picked up Dustin from his “Private Client”.

We headed out to Irvine to see La Vie En Rose. Which is an amazing movie. Totally not the type of movie I would go and see on my own. But it was so sad and moving and what not. Great movie. I did _HATE_ the subtitles though! From there we headed to the Boom Boom and met up with Austin there. Thankfully no Joel this time, but lots of other cuties out. My bartender boyfriend was there, so I stared at him for a while. Austin of course made me dance, which was ridic.

[private]After the Boom I headed back to Austin’s place and we ended up getting high for the second time in my life. It was tons of fun. But soo bad. I always hate hanging out with him alone though because I always just want to grab him and make out with him and what not. Ugh. He’s so adorable! So I ended up spending the night there and we cuddled all night long.[/private]

I got home Saturday morning and did laundry and some other stuff and then ended up taking a nap pretty much all day. Sunday morning I got up and drove all the way to Santa Monica to go on a bike ride with Team 100. I got up there, got my bike out put it together and all that and then realized I forgot my shoes at home! UGH! How annoying. So I drove back home and ended up just going on a short 10 mile ride with Mok, we rode up to Manhattan Beach and ate breakfast, the whole ten miles took about 3 hours to do cause we wasted so much time at breakfast. On my way back some asshole totally took me out on the Beach path. I was riding along and he was going the opposite direction. Then all of a sudden he slams on his brakes and totally cuts me off. So I slammed him right in the side. Stupid people!

Got home from that, showered and hung out for about an hour and then headed to the Beach with Mok and these two guys he knows. That was a good time, ate dinner with them and then came home and took a nap till about 9ish. Went out with Nick and one of his friends in WeHo and we met up with some random guy from Malibu who was pretty hot, but he was 36!! Anyways, it was a lot of fun to go out and look at the boys up there again. πŸ™‚

While I was waiting to head up there though I ended up watching about 10 minutes of like the “Hannity Hour” or something on Fox. I cannot believe that anyone listens to this idiot! What the hell is wrong with people that they would give this guy a fucking TV show? UGH!

Today I came into work at 10, as I’m covering the evening HD shift. We had our official meeting about the whole mess with the other office closing. Apparently they are taking this as good news for us. We’re taking on 6 of the displaced contractors from the client and then sub-contracting them back to the client. Seems strange to me, but whatever works! I guess we also have 2 years left of contracts that it appears they are not going to try and get out of, so that’s good. However the new contracts is that we have to cut 2 FTEs by the end of this calendar year. However we went over some of the new potential clients that are in the works, so hopefully if even a few of those pan out, we’ll actually end up hiring more people then losing the 2. So it’s all a wait and see game now to see what’s going to happen! JT did make fun of me and called me the “barefoot boy”. lol. We were talking about cleaning out my desk up in SM and he said, “Be sure to get your shoes.” haha. Thankfully I went in on Sunday and cleaned out my desk up there.
