Moon

The moon tonight is amazing… Do you think it looks bigger? That’s because it does look bigger tonight. It’s something we haven’t seen in 16 years, but tonight the moon does look bigger. And it’s amazing.

I was in a bit of a daze on the way to work today and alomst rear-ended someone because I was looking at the moon. Stupid bitch was doing 35 in a 55… Didn’t help that I was doing 75. 🙂 Thankfully the stupid bitch saw me coming and swerved out of my way… The movement of her car lights snapped me out of it.

My cats of fleas.. hard core style. I’ve got them both flea collars, and some of those drop things. I’ve got some of that raid shit and sprayed it all over my floors and my couch. They just won’t die. I’ve been giving the cats baths, and I’m sure that’s not helping thier dry skin, but everytime I do I get more and more fleas off them. I’m thinking it’s time for a vet visit to get this problem under control.

I HATE fleas. They’re so gross and discusting. And all that shit.

I’m on call for the next two weeks. This weekend I have a lot of work to do it looks like, site upgrades and shit… I think that means it’s paid overtime though. 🙂 Gotta love that, specially since I’m going to have a $280 car repair bill soon.

Hmmm, I’ve been reconsidering if I want to move back to Iowa or not… Granted, I’ll probably eventually want to move back therish. But what’s the point now? I mean, if I get a job. It’ll be in Des Moines, Andrew would be in Ames… So it’d be just like now, I’d be bored and depressed on the week and have stuff to do on the weeekends, but I wouldn’t have the beach here and the nice weather…. But Then I’d have the crazy weather of Iowa which I do like… I dunno, this place is finially starting to grow on me, and well…. I just don’t want the effort of moving back… Who knows.

I’m sure in a few days I’ll be whining again about not being in Iowa… I have every right to change my mind when I want too damnit!

lol.

I’m very confused about what to think about Myke as a friend right now, I’d like to hang out with him some more, but he just seems to not really want to talk to me that much. AT least not on AIM… maybe that’s the way he is… Some people are like that, and I have to remind myself that… They aren’t like me who likes to say “HI” and chat about thier day online… But then at least I’m not crazy and sending 8million messages a minute and won’t shut the hell up like other people… Blah, I just wish I had the guts to fucking ask him if he liked hanging out with me the other night, or if I just annoy the hell out of him… I’ve decided though that I’m just going to let him IM me when he wants to online. and see how it goes.

Got anoter e-mail from Andrew today too.. Sounds like he’s having a great time on the ship, so that’s good to hear. I hope he brings me back something DAMN good, since I gave him my camera and all! Though I’m not really sure when I’d GET IT! Since I probably won’t be seeinghim for a while.

I updated our backup shit yesterday, and well… I got 16 failure e-mails just today! Glad to know that someone was notifying us that things were failing. Gah!

Night all.

DAYS!

Well… I got the news yesterday. After I get back from my trip to Iowa (August 22nd) I’ll be starting days! So that means my last night shift will be August 11th! YAY!

Ummm. Lets see, what’s happened since I last updated…. I got my digital camera today… and let me tell you… it’s fucking HOT! OMG, it’s so nice. I’ll post some of the pics once I get home and get them onto my laptop. lol. It’s so much fun. 🙂 And I can’t beleive how small it is. I’m really glad I got it. Now I jsut have to sell my other two cameras so that I can make some of the money I spent on this one back.

Umm, Myke’s talking to me today. 🙂

I didn’t sleep much yesterday either… But yet I was in bed tell 8pm. lol. Whoops. Oh well.

Went to the gym, my normal one, since I can’t find another one to go to… Nothing wierd happened… Though I could have sworn I heard someone say “Hey Chris” but whatever.

Today’s my mom’s birthday and I haven’t sent her present yet. lol. I’ll mail it today. I’ve had it forever, and I meant to send it back with them when they were here. But I forgot.

I’ve been reading up on VoIP lately. We’ve purchased a system, so that calls to the UK are local, and UK to here calls are local as well. IT’s going to be really cool. I’ve been told I’ll be helping with setting it up, so I’m realy excited about that. We’ve also apparently been given funding to open a UK office. They are going to start staffing it August 1, hence why I’m finially leaving night shifts. I’m kinda sad that I don’t get to go over and help set up though… but I can’t really expect to be able to since I’m so new. Our most senior SA is going over, and one of the developers… I think that’s what I was told. Either way. It would have been nice to go, cause I would have been there when Andrew was there.

Speaking of, he was online today, so I got to talk to him some… though the internet kept cutting in and out. Crazyness.

lala, I’m out.

Why I love Iowa

This was just posted by RyanD…. A reason I LOVE Iowa, they actually have WEATHER!

I just watched a storm roll in and it was really cool. It went from blue sky to so dark that the street lights turned on at 7 oclock… all of this happening in 15 minutes. It started off with these black clouds rolling in, but it had a white ribbon in between large clouds all the way across the sky and it was perfectly straight. I took a picture because it was so picturesque.

As the ribbon passed over head, it was like a shockwave of wind that nearly blew my plants over by the window. I looked down to see dust swirling all around and when i sat down at my desk, its was covered in white grit and sand. So ofcourse, closed the windows. I went on the balcony to watch the storm better. It started pouring by then. Big huge drops. But with the wind, it was nearly falling horizontal. I looked at the parking lot across the street and you could see the rain falling in bands, that it appeared to be waves crashing on a shore. It had started to die down, so I went back inside. Turns out we had 70 mph winds and that power lines were down and semis were blown off of hiways. I saw inside and watched the rain fall. It felt like I was inside of a fish tank with the rain pouring down my huge window… and I was the fishy =)

God, I miss storms.

Sleeping Habits

Well, last week I was sleeping WAY too much, and now so far this week (Since friday) I haven’t been able to sleep more then 4 hours a day. Anyways, Saturday I got a whole two hours, and then sunday I got a whole 4 hours. So yeah. I’m hoping tha tI can get lots of sleep today…. For some reason my head just won’t shut up when I’m trying to go to sleep. I sit there and think about all kinds of things… Like today I was thinking about what I’d do if I randomly got $500,000. Or what pictures I”m going to take when I’m back in Iowa… I already have like 100 perfect shots thought up. I’m sure that I’ll forget them all by the time I get to Iowa, but whatever. Most of them are in my G&G’s town and Creston… I’m also a bit excited and hope that I can hit the farm while I’m there to take pictures of the barn and the old machinery we have around.

I really wish I had someone from here to take back with me so that I could show them the wonderfulness that is Iowa… I’m sure I could ask a lot of people, but who would I want to go, and share that with?

I also realized that I LEAVE Iowa the day before Andrew gets back. 🙁

Today hasn’t been all that exciting. I got up and called my dad and talked to him for a bit. Then I went to Costco and bought Star Wars IV,V and VI. THen I came home and watched them (Luke Skywalker is SO HOT!) tell Bastian came over and worked on my computer. He was making a movie and needed a Mac, so I told him he could use mine. He was also really nice and seems really cool. So that was fun. Again I hope we can hang out again.

Speaking of, Andrew asked me if I thought anything would happen between Myke and I. I think one of three things will happen: 1) He’ll never talk to me again. 2) We’ll be friends, who probably don’t really hang out that much. 3) Maybe date.

I think and am hoping that the option 2 is going to happen and hopefully hang out more then I think we would as friends. He was a really fun guy and I hope that he thinks I’m at least somewhat fun. Problem is that he always seems to have something to do. IE, Friday when I went over to hang out he had actually been invited to like 3 other things… And as most of you know, I don’t feel that I’m the most exciting person, so what motivation is there for him to hang out with me and not all these other people…. Option 3 is out because… I feel like he’s too hot for me to be able to date and also I think he reminds me too much of Andrew to date as well. Though I think things could be overcome in that department if it comes down to it… Not to offend either Andrew or Myke.

However, I have this strange gut feeling that option 1 might be actually what’s happening… But that could because I get really paranoid that people don’t like me when I feel that I’m always the one IMing them first… Such is the case here. And he always takes forever to respond when I do talk to him online… Though I know most people don’t sit here like I do and repsond as soon as they hear the little sound. lol. I don’t like making people wait for a reply on AIM. but that’s just me… The point is that when I feel like I’m always the first to IM someone, I feel like they hate me. lol.

Umm, also I’ve recieved 4 offers to hook up this weekend… cound them 4… All from people I know, all completly randomly. Friday night I got two calls while I was out with Myke… And then Saturday night I got one, and tonight I got one! Very crazy. Where’s this coming from!? One of them was even a straight boy. So that was hot. 🙂 Anyways.

I’ve updated my myspace (link on the side). I tried to make it look like my webpage. I was even going ot put the picutre at the top, but the ads pop over it. Very annoying. I did find a way to make the ads go away, but I figured I might as well be nice to myspace, that is how they continue to provide a free service. Maybe I’ll just move them… time will tell.

I also have a three day weekend in August…the 26-29.. I was thinking about going up to sequoia national park. But I have no one to go with… I was thinking that if hotels were cheap enough that I’d just go alone… but I looked them up and the cheapest hotel I could find online up there was $70 a NIGHT! Holy buckets.. that’s expensive. Even if I could get just ONE person to go with me, that’s still be $120 or so with tax just on the hotel.. Plus food, and gas and entry to the park… Grrr. So yeah, that looks like it won’t happen.

I really want some of my aunt’s salami… It takes forever to make though and is SO not good for you.

Speaking of not good. I was going to hit the UCI 24 hour fitness today… So I left my place at 10, got there about 10:30 and the fucking place was CLOSED! They fucking close at 11pm.. How stupid is that, it’s RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from a HUGE ASS CAMPUS, how in the WORLD can they close at 11pm! So Yeah, I didn’t go to the gym tonight… And then I forgot to eat dinner so I got to work and was starving, so I ate a donut. 🙁 Talk bout not good.

Screw me.
