Family Tree

So I started playing with that family tree/website thing last night. The Cookbook will be so cool to have online! But, I’m going to have to take some major time to move all the reciepies into it. You can even do ratings and stuff. It’s going to be so cool!

The whole family tree thing though is going to be more problematic. I’ve found lots of free desktop apps to do this, which all seem pretty cool, however I want something web-based. The only one I’ve found that’s web based is broken. So who knows about that. I’ll keep looking into it though.

Brian came over and hung out for a while last night. Again he was just using me to as a staging point for his evening out. However, I did get him to take care of my kitties while I’m in Iowa for christmas. So that’s good. 🙂

While he was there Nile IMed me… Nile and I hung out once WAY back in June, now he’s got a girlfriend and the only time he ever talks to me is when he wants to get fucked. AND as we all know, I don’t have sex with people unless I’m dating them! I tell him NO everytime, but he just never seems to get it. Damn straight boys. Brian messed around with him some online though, it was pretty funny.

Technically you can consider this Wed already. 🙂

Be Careful in Florida!

OMG, So Florida has this cool new law:

Florida has a new law that gives legal protection to someone who shoots somebody else as long as the shooter feels threatened or is attacked.

Florida’s “stand your ground” law, which took effect Saturday, says citizens no longer are obligated to retreat from an attack if they’re somewhere they have a legal right to be, such as a public street. Shooters also get immunity from prosecution so long as the person shot is not a police officer.

Ummm? Ok Crazies!

I got about 3 hours of sleep last night! Why can’t I sleep?!?! I’m SO TIRED, but yet I can’t actually get to sleep.

Weekend == Boring.

I went and worked out again on Sunday. But I really need to be hitting the gym more. Just never really in the mood.

Went shopping sunday afternoon and bought a photo album. That was fun. haha. Andrew called me too for the first time in a long time. He’s been having a bad time back in Iowa. That sucks for him. 🙁

But I was kinda annoyed because he was all. “I just want to find a guy who does this and that and this and that” and I was all like, “HELLO, you had that! And threw it away!” Well, I didn’t really say that.

But it was really good to talk to him again. It’s been so long.

Blake just got online too, I missed talking to him this weekend. I guess they removed the tumors on his lungs. So that’s good news.

OMG, the airplane!

Gah! The news pisses me off… So I was watching Married with children today at 4:30, and all of a sudden the break in with this horrible news of this stupid airplane flying around Long Beach… The landing gear was broken….

Ok, great. Thanks for telling us. Now go back to regular programmig till something fucking happens! There’s NOTHING we can do, and NOTHING that’s going to happen while the stupid plane flys around for 2 fucking hours burning fuel! OMG people, get over it! So yes, all the fucking news stations stayed on for 2.5 hours with a fucking plane flying around the skies, simply because the fucking landing gear was broken. GRR!

It’s just like Iowa, as soon as there’s a CHANCE of a fucking torando they all break in and stay on with the weather.. It’s like… ‘Great, I can look outside and see that it’s bad weather” But don’t INTERUPT me till there’s something good going on, like say, THERE’S A TORNADO ON THE GROUND!

Or interupt when the plane is on final decent. It’s not like they didn’t have a 30 minute or more warning before the plane landed. Though I do have to say that the landing was pretty cool to watch. I was kinda hoping that the front gear would break off, but it didn’t.

This morning I was at breakfast with everyone from work and someone brought up that they expect us to do TWO deploys in one weekend…

FYI, it takes 25 hours to do ONE DEPLOY. And these can NOT be done at the same time…. PLUS they want it done by noon on Saturday! We can’t start till 8pm Friday!… I laughed upon hearing this.

My project that I talked about earlier, where I said it ended up being easy because I just had to uncomment things…. Well, I got about 8 million more requirements for that project today. So it’s going to turn out to be VERY hard! I’m going to have to learn a lot now too…. Here’s what all he wants:

Along with a few other things that I can’t remember right now. Grrr. I sat there mentally planning it for most of the day today.

I finially got to talk to Jimmy today on AIM… I’m still saying he’s just a figment of Blake’s imagination. haha.

Blake Blake Blake Blake!

So Blake has informed me that I have to talk about Blake every day on my blog. Haha. Anyways, today I actually do have something to say about him! So here goes:

We had a really long chat last night. He’s up in Sacramento at a specialist and was feeling like shit, so we talked on Skype for like 3 hours last night. And then talked on AIM for about another hour or so. And he admitted just how much he likes me. 😀

He also sent me some good music, but it’s depressing.

At work yesterday I really didn’t do too much. I’m getting to the point in this program where it’s taking me an hour or two to track down small little problems. So Even though I am working.. I tend to sit here and just stare at my computer screen for hours trying to figure out what’s going on. For example. I have a grouping of Variables. IE APACHENODE-0,-1,-2 ETC. And it set the first one just fine, but if I went and set the second on, it would set the second one to the value of the first one and if I set the third one, it would use the value of the second one. I eventually figured out that the problem was that I had an SQL statement inside an IF statement when it should have been BEFORE the IF. So yeah. That got fixed. Now I have to figure out why the you can select check boxes, but you can’t unselect them! Grrr. Current line count of this project though is just over 4,000 lines. 🙁

I also got 5 phone calls last night in the middle of the night. Thankfully I put my phone on silent before I went to bed and had it set so that it would only make noise when I got a txt message. I was very annoyed that they kept calling because I’m NOT ON CALL! Damn people learn how to read a calendar!

There’s a lot going on next weekend that I want to go to. On the 17th I have three things already… There’s The Laramie Project, The Pacific Symphony, and the guy’s party from work. Sadly Blake! (Are you happy yet, is that enough references for you?) Doesn’t want to go with me. 🙁 Jerk… haha, no he’s already got plans.

I know this actualy happened a few days ago, but apple announced the iPod Nano on Wed… It’s AMAZING! I so want one! But I dunno what I’d do with it, I mean my iPod holds all my music so yeah.

Family guy’s first episode is being postponed simply because they reference hurricanes… This really annoys me. Yeah, it’s sad that the shit in LA happened. But if people can’t understand that this is a joke then they can just fucking deal with it. My god people! Get over it.

Also, how the hell did I miss a tornado on the ISU campus? I’m sad!

I haven’t talked to andrew in days… And honestly I’m doing much better (As you can all probably tell)… I’m still pissed at him and still sad about the outcome… But I guess it’s what was meant to happen. So yeah. It’ll take time to be completly over him and to not be pissed at him anymore.
