Be Careful in Florida!

OMG, So Florida has this cool new law:

Florida has a new law that gives legal protection to someone who shoots somebody else as long as the shooter feels threatened or is attacked.

Florida’s “stand your ground” law, which took effect Saturday, says citizens no longer are obligated to retreat from an attack if they’re somewhere they have a legal right to be, such as a public street. Shooters also get immunity from prosecution so long as the person shot is not a police officer.

Ummm? Ok Crazies!

I got about 3 hours of sleep last night! Why can’t I sleep?!?! I’m SO TIRED, but yet I can’t actually get to sleep.

Grr.

  1. That is about the dumbest law I have ever heard of. Police Officers don’t even have that right. I would not feel safer going to Florida, anything I may not want to go there.

We will see what reprecusions this new law will have.

  2. Yeah, and surprise surprise this was pushed through by the NRA! Haha.

I mean, I’m way more pro-gun then most people probably realize. (I was a card carrying member of the NRA for a while). But this is just crazy!

I think people should be allowed to carry guns on them and to own any gun they want (Up to a point, a normal person should NOT be allowed to carry an M-16 or other such things on them, and should be REQUIRED to register a gun like that. But they should be allowed to own whatever they damn well please).

  3. ah! stayin up late… it means you need to find something to do with that time while you’re awake… like World of Warcrack. 🙂

  4. Haha, no it means I need to take drugs so I can sleep! I’ve been zombie like during the day.. and these programming projects don’t write themselves!
