A Look Back…

Dead Soda’s Check out this list of old sodas and what not. Very cool. I remember most of them… lol. It’s funny to look back and wonder what the hell these people were thinking!

Great list of MacOSX apps… My new fav is VirtueDesktops. Which is so cool! The beta has lots of bugs, but I can live!

It’s sad that this stuff is real… and that so many UK/European people will see the US like this. UGH!

I completely forgot to write about what happened at the office last Friday. I was working up in SM and these two girls came by handing out stickers with our names on them. I asked what these were for and they said “The move happening this weekend”…. “WHAT!?” Whave move?! This was the first I had heard of any move! I knew that they were planning a move sometime early this year to across the street, but I hadn’t heard ANYTHING about it in months! So I messaged the guy who manages me there and ask what’s going on. He gives me the DL and that apparently the dolt that’s managing the move forgot to notify me at all. They are only moving the people off the second floor into temp housing till the REAL move next month.

So then about 2 hours later, after I’ve packed up all my shit and freaked out and what not, because NO ONE knows where my shit is being moved to, or ANYTHING the dolt who’s organizing the move comes down and is like, “we’re not moving till NEXT weekend.” UGH! Can’t these people get ANYTHING straight!? What the fuck. Very annoying.

Monday was a 13 hour day at the office… Lots of stuff going on and what not. I have to learn Joomla now. I’ve been meaning to play with it and see what’s going on, but have just never had the chance to do it. I was given the task on Monday to completely redesign the corporate website… By next Tuesday.

Tuesday morning I slept in and headed to the office about 10ish and worked the day away on that stuff. Tuesday night was my first class. It was HORRIBLE… I’m really debating about if I want to go back or not. The prof seems nice enough, he was joking around and making it funny and stuff, but I just don’t know if I can deal with a class right now. Plus when I signed up work was dead. Now I don’t think I have the time or energy to spend 5 hours a week in class, plus the time it’s going to take to do all the homework/etc.

After that I headed over to Ben’s house and hung out with him we went down to Venice Beach and had coffee and just chatted. It was really nice.

It’s so wierd saying.. “I have to run to class now”.. It’s been 2.5+ years since I’ve said that! Ugh. I’m soooo old! haha.

How to blow $145 billion a year.

Remember that job I flew to Chicago to look into last year around easter? Well the same company has posted another ad.. I’m debating about applying.

Well. I have TONS of work to do, and a date tonight! YAY! So see ya later.

Back from Vegas!!!

OMG.. The trip was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much fun! We did so much fucking crap, and I spent WAY too much money!

Ok, so going back to Friday… Got up at 3:45am and headed to the airport. Got there and checked in. Going through security was HELL! I had both my carryon and laptop bag. They Screened my laptop bag and then said. “We need to search this, it looks like you have a lighter.” So we go over and they start going through it… Nothing. I have no lights. So the bitch goes through every pocket…. Can’t find anyting, so they scan it again… Still say “looks like you have something” so she searches EVERY pocket again! (And my bag has a LOT of pockets). Still nothing -> scan again -> “You have drill bits?”.. WHAT?! Who in the WORlD would travel with drill bits?! Crazy bitch. She takes EVERYTHING out of my bag. Can’t find anything.. Scans AGAIN! … Ends up being my ink pens! I’m sorry, but this is YOUR JOB! You can’t tell what a fucking INK PEN looks like on the xray? Makes me feel REALLY safe!

So then we go and we’re boarding and the National Gaurd shows up and they start searching everyone AGAIN!? This is ridiculous! STUPID!

So meet up with Mike, head back to the hotel room and drop off my shit. He had rented an Audi A8 for the weekend, OMG I’m in LOVE with this car. Amazing! After the hotel we head out to breakfast and then out to the Drive event. I did the Corvette twice and then the Hummer H2 once. That was really fun, the H2 was kinda crazy.

From there we headed out to some Mountian top thing. I can’t remember what it was called, but it was really pretty. You could see where there had been an avalanche or something because all the trees were bent over. Pretty cool stuff. Took some cool pics there as well.

Headed back to the hotel, showered and changed and then hit up the strip. Ate dinner there and then saw Zumanity.. HOLY SHIT, AMAZING! !!!!! I want to see it again! Actualy, I want to go see ALL those shows now.. I just sat there in Awe through the whole show, and we were in row 2, it was amazing. Checked out the strip a bit more and then went home.

Saturday we didn’t get up till like 11 and headed back to the strip checked out all the hotels and the cool stuff, and then I lost my first $1 on the slots. 🙁 Played some air hockey, hit the stratosphere and went out to dinner at this Greek place that ended up costing us $168!!! Holy shit! I about had a heart attack with that.

Caught the last water show after that and then out to drinks at the Bellagio. I wanted to hit up a gay club, but Mike didn’t. :'( From there we headed downtown where it’s REALLY trashy.

Sunday we headed out to Hoover Dam and had a great time just wondering around out there… Took the A8 off roading, now that was a crazy experience! lol. Also found an abanodned truck, tried to call it in, but they just kept transfering me because no one knew who’s district it was in! Being a good samaritan is hard work! lol. Ate dinner at Pink Taco and then I lost another dollar on the slots. :'( No money for me!

Got home about 9ish Sunday night and I crashed. Got up at 4:30 this morning and flew back to LA.

[private]UGH, now for the complaining…. Mike is an ASSHOLE! OMG. Every day we met new people, he had a new job.. One day it was a Lawyer, the next it was a dentist, etc… He would NOT shut up.. He claims to have owned about 8 million different cars.. If you add them up, he’s owned a new car EVERY YEAR he’s been old enough to drive. Including: a Corvette, an M3, Z4, etc. UGH. We went into versace and he went up to everything and loudly said, “I already own this.” Claims he’s been to Europe 30 times… For vacations. Thinks he knows EVERYTHING, and even when you do bring up evidence that he’s WRONG he still argues with you. UGH. I cannot stand it! The best lie though was that he claimed he was carrying a loaded firearm.. Yeah right! He’s a nice enough guy, but get over it, he’s not better then everyone else.

And I always wondered who the assholes were that honked and flashed their lights at you on the interstate, etc for really doing NOTHING but driving… IE. Light had JUST turned green and mike LAYS on the horn at people… EVERY LIGHT… People merge onto the freeway and he seems to think they are trying to race him… So he speeds up and cuts them off.. Someone is “too close” on the freeway and he slams on the brakes and goes 20… UGH.[/private]

In other news… I have 962 e-mails that have piled up over the weekend, so I’m going to spend all day reading those. Adios!

Good Day!

Wow, so yesterday was just such a great day for me…

So I got the good news, Work was crazy, so much stuff going on. Meetings back to back pretty much. I already had lots of meetings planned, however with the news that added 4 total meetings throughout the day. And one of the meetings, I was asked to go make a major programming change WHILE THEY WAITED, which just added so much more stress, thankfully I completed it in half the time they gave me! Then we had to bounce a server that is hosted up in SM, and when we did it didn’t come back up! So everything went to hell then. When I left they were still trying to find someone that had the right sort of cable to connect to the box and get it started back up. Blah.

Austin came over right after work, as he was already in the area doing an interview with a guy I set him up with. He said that it went well, but that he hated the guy. Which is funny because it’s true, the guy is nice, but he got on my nerves during the interview too. He says he might just take this job in DC if he gets the offer. That’d be sad to havea him leave since I’ve finially made a friend that seems worth keeping!

So he came over, we hung out here and talked about that for like an hour or two. Then we went out and got dinner, it’s really funny because we both seem to always order the same thing. We have a lot of strange things in common. I’m going to invite him camping next weekend. Dinner was good, then we went and rented some movies.. It was hard to pick some out because he has them all on xvid and stuff so we didn’t want to get one that he had, but we also didn’t want to drive back down to his place to get them all. Ended up gettind Duece Big, European one.. And then some scary movie. We watched that one first and it was more funny then scary, the point. Then we went hot tubbing and swimming which was fun! Everyone knows how much I love hot tubbing.

Came back here and we both changed back to our normal clothes then watched the Will & Grace from last night which was pretty funny. I like live tv, they should do more of them like that. lol. Then we cuddled and watched the other movie.. He fell asleep in my arms which was cute. So I woke him up and made him go home, which was about 11:00.

I think this is good, we both aren’t really looking for boyfriends, and we both have lots in common, so I see good things for this friendship. He has however grabbed my ass jokingly some. And I his, it’s very nice and firm. lol. It’ll suck though if he does move out to DC.

So, randomly Myke (we all remeber him right?) IMed me the other night as well. Very random, being the same fucking Myke, takes forever to respond, etc. What a wierdo.

AND lastly (on the topic of frineds), Andrew and I are apparently not friends anymore. He’s officially deleted me from his LJ friends list. Whatever jackass.

Today I have lots to do. I’m doing laundry now, then my bathroom needs a good scrubbing. Then I’ve got to go out shopping, I need the following:

Remainder of camping gear (Dutch oven, Cooler, etc).

New Glasses.

Fabric for pillows and pillow inserts.

Food!!

Incense (Which I can only find in one place in SJC).

Bike shopping.

Adios all.

Old Friends

So last night I found an old buddy list backup from like 3 years ago. So I loaded it up…. My, who knew I used to talk to SO MANY people online! It’s sad though because i can’t remember who hardly any of the people are. Like I have a cat called, “People I know” and well, I really don’t know any of them any more, lol. I also have a group called “Chatters” with 30 AIM names in it, and I can’t remember who any of these people are. I googled most of the names, but sadly a lot of them didn’t return anything. 🙁

Not too much else. Did I mention I made an apple Pie? Yummy! I ate half of it then threw it away because I really don’t need to eat it all. lol

There’s riots in Paris. Kinda crazy!

In less then a week I get to go up to WeHo and see Blake. 🙂 Very exciting!

And in 8 days I’ll be leaving for Paris. 😀

As you can tell, not much is going on in my life. lol. I’ve been working 10 hour days, 8 hours in the office, go home work out and then 2 more hours there. Blah! I can’t wait for the short days that next week will bring. 🙂

I have a new rule.. Anyone who calls me over night, is going to get a return call at 5am when I wake up. I’m sick of people calling me when I’m sleeping… And NO, I can not put my phone on silent because A) I’m ON CALL and have to answer my phone if work calls, and B) I use my phone as an alarm clock.

And that’s about it! I’m out.
