Some good stuff…

Ok. I said I’d try and write about the good stuff that’s going on as well!

Well first off, I’ve been crazy busy with both my job and my contracts. I’ve got three currently active contracts and one of those is adding on an additional two contracts. So that’s excellent news. I love making money! 🙂 One of the contracts is very pretty and I’m glad to be working on it. I designed a really great background for it as well. Once the site has gone live, I will send out a link to it. I still have a lot of work to do with these two though. I’m hoping to get them done this upcoming week when I have tons of free time.

Plans for another camping trip are in the early stages. I am researching places to camp. After that we will begin looking for people to go. We’re shooting for the second weekend in Sept. This should be a good weekend because everyone will be tired/not camping from the Labor day weekend, right?

I cleaned my apartment last night and got the dishes from the camping trip done, what a mess those were. I opened up the kitchen and it just STUNK like mad! Mostly a smoky smell.

Wed night I went out with Constantine. We got dinner at Casa Arigato. Yum! Then we went and saw The Simpsons Movie. It was really funny. Mok and one of his friends joined us for that. Constantine spent the night and we had a good time talking and what not. He’s a great guy. 🙂

Thursday I worked 12 hours. Friday I am working 6 hours and then going biking, since I haven’t been out in weeks! Tonight I’m heading out to WeHo to hang out with Constantine before he leaves for a week.

Ok, time to go!!

Rock Climbing & Camping!

I’ve been very active this week and yet I feel as though I’ve done nothing! Oh my. Work has been crazy busy, my personal life has been packed. Things are crazy!

So Wed night I went rock climbing with Mok. That boy has some HOT legs! Oh my. And the other boys there at the gym. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! We had a great time, it was only $20 to climb and rent. We went to this place called Beach City Rocks. The first wall that I did was very hard, so we moved over to the easier walls. Which were way toooo easy. Also the movements required were hurting my arm/shoulder and hip a lot. Especially the landings on the way down. After about 4 or 5 times up the wall I couldn’t do it any more. Mok kept pushing me, and I tried a small wall got up it fine, but then you just jump down and the landing killed me. This morning I couldn’t walk at all. After that we went to this really good place called Rice Things and then back to his place to hang out.

The camping trip is really coming along and we are now officially turning people away! How exciting is that. When I first signed up for it I was planning on maybe 3 or 4 people. We now have 8 people who have said they are HIGHLY interested. Of course this doesn’t mean that they WILL be coming, but it’s a great sign. I really think this will be a great group as well. Mok is going to try and book a second camp site because the one I have is filled up. I looked for a group site there, but it is gone already. 🙁 The only issue right now is…. HOW TO GET EVERYONE THERE! We are only allowed 2 cars up there and everyone that’s coming only has tiny cars! Damn LA! So I looked into renting a van and the prices are insane! Like nearly $250 for the weekend. I’m hoping to keep the price per person to below $80!

Thursday afternoon I got off work and got home and it was just the most beautiful day we’ve had here in a while. The skies were clear, the boys were out. You could even see Catalina clear as day! So I had to get out there and enjoy it. So I changed into my biking gear and headed out. It was very painful, but the day was just too perfect to miss. I did about an hour of riding and then headed home. OH my god, the beach boys were just gorgeous.

Friday morning I woke up in some pretty bad pain, so I didn’t come into work till late. Which kinda sucks cause I wanted to hang out with Constantine that night. I got a lot done at work and still have tons to do though. I put in a bid on ebay for a truck, I won the bid, but it was below the reserve by about $6,000.

Friday evening was quite scandal filled. I picked up Mok about 10 and we headed out to Weho to meet up with Constantine. We got there and went to Fiesta Cantina. It was two for one, so I just got Mok and I a double vodka cranberry each. Well little did I know that he’s never been drunk before! Opps! Lets just say that he was very drunk after that. We only spent about 20 minutes there because Chad was at The Abbey and txting me to come over there and hang out with him. We head over there and meet up with him. Well apparently the only reason he wanted me there was to make out! Which would have been fun, but not with friends there. So we split ways and got more drinks and then hung out at The Abbey the rest of the night. Met up with Jason and Steven and a bunch of their very gay friends. Jason was plastered off his ass which was very entertaining. Some cute guy even came up to Mok and they exchanged numbers! 🙂 We left about 1:45 and grabbed pizza and then headed home.

Saturday morning I slept in till 9 and then did Laundry for the morning. That afternoon I headed down to Laguna Beach to see Pageant of the Masters. But first I met up with Nick and Dustin. Nick was hosting a little get together for a bunch of ALC people. That was really fun and met some more good people from the ride and we all talked and shared stories. After that we all headed over to the Pageant. We met up with Nick’s friends Steve… Steve and I actually talked about a year ago via AIM for a while and then we just kinda stopped talking cause he was always too busy to hang out. All I have to say is that I should have kept trying to hang out with him because he was adorable!

The Pageant of the Masters was just AMAZING! You would not believe it till you saw it. So if you’re in the OC/LA area, you MUST GO SEE THIS! If you aren’t in the OC/LA area.. GET YOUR ASS HERE AND GO SEE IT! Very very cool!

After the Pageant the 5 of us went back to Nick’s house and chatted for awhile and shared ALC pics and just talked. I left about 1:30 and came home.

Sunday morning I again slept in till 9, got up and got ready for brunch at Ocean Diner. Constantine, Sirin, Robert, Mok, Adam (The guy from Weho on Friday) and Eric were all there. Brunch was tons of fun and we got the ball rolling for the camping trip. I think that this group will be great and very nice. I sure hope that everyone gets along. I can’t wait for the trip. After that we all headed down the street because I wanted to buy a hat. It’s very cute! I wasn’t sure about it at first because it’s not at all the type of hat I would wear. Not that I even wear hats!

From there we all headed back to my house and went to the beach. Erick joined us and later on Jason and Steve were there as well. A big old group of homo’s on the beach. Two of them in hot speedos! 🙂 How can that not be fun! We were there for like 3 hours or so. Once the evening clouds rolled in we all broke from there and headed over to the Dominator Shipwreck which I’ve talked about before. It was of course tons of fun. However we did come across three dead seals. 🙁

So I saw Sicko the other day, as I mentioned. Then today I found this great interview with Michael Moore on CNN. I love how he just goes off on this rant. Very hilarious.

Also check out this very interesting Google Earth pics.

Everyone knows I’m always looking for new ways to work out. Well the other day I stumbled upon this exercise page. You click on a muscle group and it tells you what exercises you do.

I love the TV show Kyle XY. But you have to give a huge props to the music director. They always have amazing music that’s just perfect for the scene that’s going on during the show. I found a site that lists all the music from the first season. Hopefully they will soon have one for the second season!

ALC posted a new video to honor the roadies. Go and check it out here.

Want to buy me something? Get me the This is why I’m hot t-shirt! I love it!

I found this cool app a while back that’s call the Google Image Ripper. I was able to find these sweet photos from it:

A LONG Weekend!

Oh my god… This weekend, I DROVE… All over hell. Over 450 miles this weekend alone. What craziness.

So Friday, I got home from work and headed up to Santa Monica to hang out with this guy Dan. Who had an amazing DVD/CD collection. I went through all his DVD’s and that took about an hour. We ended up watching Vacation. I had a good time. I went home after that and went to bed.

Got up Saturday morning and went and washed my car. I’ve got this Astroturf in my bathroom under the cat litter. It’s been a while since I last cleaned it good, so I took it to the car wash with me and spent like 2 whole minutes trying to wash it out completely. I thought I got it pretty clean and then just threw it in my trunk and drove home. Took it out as soon as I got there and found out that there was a LOT more water left in it then I thought, so there was a ton of NASTY smelling water all over my trunk! I tried to clean it all up but my car smells SOOO bad now! 🙁 I took out all the carpeting and shit from the trunk Sunday night so that helped some.

After that disaster, I headed out on my road trip to check out some nice wonderful trucks…

The first one was a 1956 F250. It’s a good body and good looking truck, but needs a lot of interior work done to it. New handles, new carpet, work to the dash, needs a new bed, etc. Lots of over spray from a previous paint job that hadn’t been corrected. It also had a LOT of oil on the transmission, etc. Not sure how normal that is, but it was a little concerning. The guy selling it was HOT and I thought I was getting a little gay vibe from him. But probably not. I got a lot of great information out of him and I think no matter what truck I buy, he could be a good resource for the future.

Second was a 1954 Ford F100. Great looking truck. The guy said he hadn’t driven it in a year though. It had leaked basically all it’s transmission fluid, we got in and it started right up. Took it out on a test drive… We’re driving down the street and this truck pulls out in front of us. Slam on the breaks and they go straight to the floor.. THERE’S NO BRAKES! OMG! Grab the emergency break to stop it… SCARY! The truck has no rust, and it’s nice and complete truck. All new interior, etc. One issue is that the guy said the previous owners rebuilt the engine and then it sat for 6 years. So he’s not sure how many miles, are on the engine and since it sat so long the seals, etc could be a bit dry/etc. He said he’d take $1k off the price to get the brakes fixed (Probably just need to be bleed out)

The third was the same guy, it was a Studebaker. Nice looking yellow truck, but needs more work then I’d be willing to put into it.

The fourth was a 1956 F100. This one was a real POS. Needs TONS of work. I took one look at it and said no thanks! What a mess.

The last one is the best and of course the most expensive! A 1955 F100. Everything is all new, GREAT paint job (although not an original color which is a little annoying), great new interior (and also the only one with seat belts) and drove great. The only concern I had was that the steering was a little lose. He said it probably just needed to be adjusted. He’d already come down from $18k, so I’m not sure there’s much wiggle room for price.

Saturday night I stayed home and watched Can’t Hardly Wait. Very interesting movie with lots of hot boys!

Sunday I got up early and headed up to Hollywood to meet up with Ran and Enver. We went out on a short little 15 mile ride. It was really good to see them again since the Lifecycle ride. They’re very great people. The ride was very pretty. We went up into the valley and around Griffith park and WB studios.

Came home and showered real quick and then the neighbor and I headed up to Port Hueneme, CA. It was a great little town. The neighbor is looking at buying a house/condo up there so we looked at a few of those. I went up with her to check out one more truck this weekend. A 1956 F100 Panel Truck. This was by far one of the most interesting trucks I saw this weekend. The guy who owns it sounded like a real ass on the phone, but ended up being pretty nice. The engine is pretty much unknown to him, but it was his daily driver for many years so it’s probably about ready for a rebuild/etc. It would also need a lot of interior work. New side wall coverings, etc. It’s a VERY interesting truck though which is nice. And the guy is apparently desperate for cash. He was willing to take $3k off the price right there.

We headed up to Ventura after that and ate at this random place called “I Love Sushi”. And boy, do I love the sushi there. I highly suggest getting the “In & Out Roll” very good! So if you’re ever in Ventura, Ca. I highly suggest you go there.

Got home about 8, had just enough time to read my emails from the day and then went to bed. It was another morning of getting up at 3:30am and dealing with stupid people at the HD!

On the way into the office, I heard this song on the radio called “Dear Mr. President” by Pink. Apparently it was released forever ago. But I’ve never heard it before and if you haven’t. I suggest going and checking it out.

I also found this very interesting Wold Clock on digg the other day. This clock has stats collected from all over the world, showing population, prison growth, births, US illegal immigrations, divorces, species extinct, forests lost, barrels of oil, and LOADS more, including in depth death stats. Highly interesting.
