No Car for me! Damnit!

Ok. I’ve made an executive decision…. I am _NOT_ getting a new car…. YET!

I was SO CLOSE on Sunday to buying one. But now I made a list of all the other shit that I want to buy and I just think that I should buy that stuff first.

EU Trip – $700
Bed Set – $900
Couch – $900
RAID – $1,000
DVD Player/Surround Sound – $400
iPod/iPhone – $400
Iowa Christmas Trip – $500
Bike Repairs/New Helmet – $200

Lots of other stuff that’s slipping my mind right now (The list is at home!). But overall the list came out to just over $7,000 worth of stuff that I want to get. Sooooo I will not be getting a new car. I will just spend the $400 to repair my current car and keep it another year.

Also on the lines of money. Why does no one want my money! Seriously. I keep calling people trying to buy things from them and they just never get back to me! Tuesday I called 4 realtors asking about properties I had seen on realtor.com. All of them said they would get back to me that afternoon with the information I asked for. I have YET to hear anything back from them. Same with the asshole at the car dealership, I go in wanting to buy a car and he treats me like shit!

Lets see, So Tuesday I went out to Beige with Constantine. Had an EXCELLENT time. So much fun going back there. Although, I’m way to old for that shit any more! haha. I was sooo tired at work on Wed.

Work has been going excellent, however, I’m very tired of coding in Java. So I’ve been thinking about getting my MBA again. Sadly the deadline is Oct 30th for Spring admission, so I’ll have to wait till fall to get in. But I think I will start studying for my GMAT.

Ohhhh. So Tuesday, my external hard drive died. Or at least I thought it had. I was FREAKING out cause it has all my life on it, so Constantine and I went to Fry’s to get a new case for it to see if that was the problem. Come home and put the drive in the new case and plug it into firewire and it still doesn’t work! 🙁 So I’m freaking out and then Constantine is like. “Why don’t you try USB”. So I do and it works! YAYAYAY! I didn’t lose my life!

So, that’s basically it. Adios!

25 MPH Gusting to 35!! Crazy WINDS!

Soooo, Friday we had some CRAZY fucking winds. I mean 25 mph alllll day long, gusting to 35. Redic! You couldn’t hardly walk. The beach was going crazy! Waves SOOO big! IT was even foaming and stuff!

Constantine came over and we got some pics and stuff which are here. We also took some video with his nice camera, but don’t have the cable to transfer it. I’ll post that once it’s up.

From there we headed out to dinner. Went to this new place down the street. We get there at 6:45 and I ask our waitress if it’s still Happy hour because outside I could have swore the sign said “Happy hour 5-7”. But the menus said “5-6”. She said “No”. So I went outside to check and the sign DID say 5-7!!! Liar! It was pretty good food though overall.

Came back to my place after that and I think we just hung out here. I can’t remember for sure! It’s been a busy weekend!

Got up Saturday and headed up to H&M at the beverly center. Met up with Charles Phoenix there to pick up the video of him on The Martha Stewart Show. Also bought lots of cute clothes for our Europe trip! Headed back to my place after that, but Jason called and asked if we wanted to go flying. So we did that. Tons of fun! It was a wonderful day! Got back to my place and watched North Country. It was a really sad movie! But very good.

Jason picked us up after that and we went over to his place and had tacos and lots of drinks and played cards and had a jolly old time! Probably one of the best dinner parties I’ve ever been too. The card games were tons of fun!

Sunday Constantine and I got up and he left cause he needed to do his Photo project. So I lounged around the house. I found a Camry Hybrid online for sale, so I called about it. It was the same place as a car I had called about on Friday and the guy was a total ass about it. I was like, why should I drive an hour and a half if you arent’ willing to negotiate with me on the phone. Anyways, the guy was super nice on Sunday when I called, so Jason, Steve and I headed up there. Long story short. The guy was a total ass in person too. So we left. I was uber pissed after that. Stopped at the In & Out by the airport and watched planes for a while. Headed home after that.

[private]I have to admit that I was a little annoyed that night with Constantine. I found out that he went out climbing and movie watching with his friends. And he knows how much I’ve been wanting to meet them, so that he didn’t call and invite me to go with me hurt a little… So I didn’t get to sleep till 11 cause I was annoyed about it. [/private]

Overall it was an excellent weekend!!!!

Last Minute BBQ!

So last night we had sort of a last minute quick BBQ. Tons of fun!

Sirin cooked chicken marinated in this crazy home made marinade of hers. Constantine, Erick, Mok, Sirin and I were all there. We drank, chatted and had a great time!

Also, Constantine brought be flowers! How nice is that! 🙂 No one has brought me flowers in forever!!!

Nothing to much else really going on. This week I have been very productive, mostly at home and not so much at work.

I built a new picture frame. Again it’s 8’x4′. This one didn’t get stretched as nicely as the last one, so I have to redo some of that. But the frame itself came together much better. I bought drill bits, so that helped with the mess of screwing it together. I also found a new desk. So I put that together and moved everything over to it.

Had a bit of a technical issue doing that though as one of my servers wouldn’t start back up! Thankfully it was just that the little switch which sits behind the power button has fallen off. So I had to open it up and just push the button and it came back to life!

Did I mention that I destroyed one of my bookshelves? I’ve been trying to get rid of it for a while, but I finally just took the sledge hammer to it! That was tons of fun!

Found a really nice looking place in Torrance, so we went and looked at that… It was in the GHETTOOO!!!! You’d get shot going to/from home! Scary!

Nothing planned for this weekend yet. Gotta figure that out!

Fall Colors in Mammoth Lake!!

Have I mentioned how cool my life has been lately! Things are really going great around here. I’m loving it!

This weekend was of course no different! Friday night I got home from the gym and was planning on just staying in and doing my laundry and other random stuff that I’ve been falling behind on. But instead Sirin knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to go see Anything Goes up in Northridge. I said, “Sure!” and called up Constantine to see if he wanted to go. I changed and then we headed out to pick him up. The play was pretty good. Very funny. It wasn’t professional or anything. But it was still lots of fun. We went out after that to Marie Calendars for pie!

Saturday morning Constantine and I got up early and headed out to Mammoth Lakes to see the Fall Colors. On the way north we stopped at Fossil Falls. It was pretty cool. Some neat lava flows and stuff. From there we headed on up to Mammoth. Got there about 2 and then went and ate at some crazy Cafe which was pretty good and then headed north a ways to see the trees. Started out in the areas around there, then up north to Mono Lake. After that we continued north to the Ghost town of Bodie, CA. This was a really cool ghost town and I highly suggest you go check it out! We got there at “The golden hour“, so Constantine was running around crazy taking pics!

We headed back south after that and stopped again at Mono Lake to take some more pics. Went to be pretty early.

Sunday we got up and headed back south. Stopped at a bunch of lakes, including North Lake, South Lake and Sabrina Lake. All VERY pretty. Next year about this time I’ll have to take a group up there to camp. It was a bit chilly but the weather the whole weekend was just perfect. It was nice and crisp and refreshing! Stopped in Bishop, CA where there is this GREAT bakery called “Erick Schat’s“. Oh my god. Amazing! You have to stop here!

Got back to LA about 5ish and then we watched Flyboys. Constantine left shortly after that was over.

BTW, he’s amazing. 🙂

In other news. I have been good. Last night Constantine and I went to Jason’s for dinner. Very yummy meatballs! YAY!

Some guy also hard core hit on me at the gym. I was changing and he said he liked my shirt and then he felt my shirt and then he gave me his card. Really random! But it made me feel goooood. I’m hot! Yay! Hhaha.

This weekend Constantine and I are heading up to Mono Lake to see the fall colors! I’m sooo excited!
