Drag Show

Ok, so I was kinda drunk when I wrote that last post.

Anyways, Yesterday was good. I spent the day getting the x86_64 box ready for MH to install Oracle on. I got an e-mail at 9:00 last night saying that it was all done, so that’s cool! I’m excited.

I left early because I had put in some extra hours the days before and was bored. I talked to Austin right before leaving and he talked me into coming over and going to the beach with him. So we did that and walked around. He found a Sand Dollar, and was excited. We also saw a crab on the rocks, which was kinda random.

After that we went and watched some more of that Sex show, I’m really getting into it. It’s so funny. lol. From there we decided it was time to eat, he was going to make pasta, but the meat was still frozen, so we went out. It was hella time finding someplace to eat, as I have no money left till the 15th, so I wanted some where cheap. Ended up going to the greek place, which was good.

Blake txted me while I was there. And upset me a bit, I sure hope he’s still ok.

After dinner Austin and I went back to his house and watched some more TV and he showed me pictures of his college days and his recent trip to Montana! I LOVE MONTANA! 🙂 lol. We laid on his bed and kinda cuddled and I gave him a back rub, since he’s given me so many. lol.

Once the show was over, I left so that he could go to the gym, that was about 9ish or so, got home showered and ironed my clothes and then sat around waiting for him to get back. Once he got back we both headed towards laguna. Got there and went into the bar and just stood around for a while watching the Drag show. It’s been so long since I’ve seen one of those!

Ran into Justin and JohnyRocket there. Very random to see them again. Anyways, Austin was going after this guy who looked like an uglier version of Phil of the Future, but the boy left before Austin got up the nerves to go talk to him.

Some random guy came up and started talking to me, but I was tired and hadn’t had anything to drink yet so I was sort of a bitch to him and felt bad about that. I meant to go up and talk to him again later, but we left before I could. Oh well, he probably just wanted sex anyways. And he wasn’t very cute.

Austin and I have decided that I’m not good with telling people I don’t want to talk to go away. I tend to just sit there and listen and talk to them and will give them a sorta cold shoulder, but I feel mostly obligated to talk to anyone who talks to me. I’m also a bit too trusting I think and tend to think the best of people first. We both think there’s a massive lie going on in my life right now.

Tonight I’m just going to go home and relax at home by myself. I really need to get back out on my bike and to just relax.

Sex, Gilmore!

ARG! Can I fucking SCREAM at our Helpdesk guy? He’s telling LIES, LIES I tell you! God, so fucking annoying. You know, if I called and got someone like him at the Helpdesk, I would fucking hang up on his ass. Our software is slow NOT BECAUSE we as SA’s and DBA’s haven’t done our job, there’s MORE then enough power to serve the sort of application that we host. Someone fire him!

Anyways, so yesterday was pretty busy… I had lots of stuff to do in the morning and got that going, then right before lunch I got a huge project that I sorta stole from someone else. It’s going to be exciting, getting Oracle 64bit running on x86_64 Linux. 🙂 So yeah. But as I was going to go talk to someone about it Austin called, so we went off to lunch. It was a nice lunch we went to this mexican place and I had a Cheese thing. I was so stuffed! After that we walked over to Staples cause it was right there and he tried to convert me back to windows and I tried to convert him to apple! I’d have to say so far that’s the only annoying thing about him, is that he’s a windows geek! Gahh! Chris Pirillo comes to mind. That man annoys the hell out of me!

So I got back from lunch and started talking to people about it and got CentOS installed. Also someone else showed up and I had to help them with an RCF file. I finially got out of here at 2:30 and got home and then went on my bike ride. Got home and showered then talked to Austin and invited him over to watch the new gilmore girls, since he had never seen it.

So he went to the gym and then came over and we hung out. Watched an Episode of Sex and the City, which I have to admit is a very funny show. After that we talked for like 20 minutes till GG came on then watched that. It was an OK episode, not the best ever. I think this series is really coming to an end. The whole Luke has a daughter thing is a little out there.

Speaking of though, The West Wing really needs to end. This season has just NOT been that good. I’ve heard that this will be the last season and it will end with the announcement of the new president. So we’ll see.

After that we watched House, which was ok, but I didn’t really enjoy it that much and then we watched another epsidoe of sex and the city, then he gave me a nice back rub, then I kicked him out cause I had to go to bed. It was nice hanging out with him.

Blake says that today is Jimmy’s funeral, or something like that. Seems really quick to me, that they could cremate him and ship him back so fast. But I guess that’s the way it is. Sad as it is. I’m strangely effected by it. I’m not really sure how I can explain it.

Susan e-mailed me again yesterday. It’s nice that she keeps e-mailing me and asking how my life is, but I’m just not too sure about what to say back to her anymore. I haven’t talked to her son in like over a month now, so it just seems wierd.

OMG! Yesterday was a HUGE day for us Apple fans! TWO Intel macs introduced, and some cool new software! I can’t wait! Who wants to buy it for me?

With that, I have to go work on Oracle 64bit. Adios!

So I did probably one of the most spontaneous things I’ve ever done this weekend. I invited a guy I had never met before out to go hiking out in the palm springs area (Up the tram).

But, anyways. Back to where we last left out…. Anyways, Friday was a boring ass day at work. I had some minor things to do, nothing exciting. Things were going slow at work for some reason, damn network issues or something like that. Not sure, anyways, I got NOTHING done because of that. I left early again so that Iw ouldn’t miss my packages, but they ended up not getting there till 5 anyways. So I did my bike ride and all that anyways. And did some more work at home.

The damn cat just threw up AGAIN! This time that bitch is NOT going to the fucking vet.

Anyways, I hung out with Robert on friday night, we watched this movie called ‘Everyone’. Horrible MOVIE! Though there was one hot boy and one boy we couldn’t decide if he was hot or not. lol. But I couldn’t be brought to turn it off because I wanted to know how it ended! lol.

After the movie we talked for a while and then he left. Saturday I got up and couldn’t bring myself to do my laundry cause I was too lazy. I just wanted to get out. So I went on my bike ride. On the way out though I saw these two women and a bunch of kids in scout uniforms, so I went up to them and introduced myself and got a phone number of a local scout troop that could use some help. So I gotta call that guy.

Did my bike ride and went a lot further back there I usually do, it gets really pretty. Came home and showered and talked to this guy Austin for a while online, then he said he was going to go shower, so I went to best buy because I somehow ended up with two DVD’s of Star Wars I, so I traded one in for a III. 🙂

One the way there and back though I just thought that I had to get out of the OC for a day and get to the country… So I decided to go up to the Mount out by Palm Springs. I had told Austin that I wanted to hang out too, so when I got back I invited him and to my surprise he said he would go!

So I called my aunt and uncle to let them know I’d be in the area and they asked that we stop by when we were done and do dinner with them at the Club, which meant we had to bring some nice clothes.

Austin got here at 1, and we went up to subway, grabbed a quick bit to eat, and then headed out. While we were talking though at Subway we found out that we both know someone from Iowa! It’s very random!

We headed out to Palm Springs and made really good time, got up to the top of the tram and walked around for about 2 hours. Got some great pics, which I’ll hopefully get up on the photodump soon. We had a really good time, he was very nice and we had a lot to talk about. And have a lot of the same ideals about people inthe OC. It was pretty funny.

After that we headed over to my aunt and uncles house and changed then we went to the Club house. Of course you HAVE to have a drink there, so I got an apple martini! Yum yum… And then… Well I had another. lol.

And then.. I had a glass of wine. Needless to say, there was NO way we were driving home that night. So we stayed at thier house. I have to say, I didn’t get shit for sleep last night. 🙁 But it was nice to have someone to lay next to in bed. He also gave me a really nice back rub. 🙂

So we got up this morning, ate breakfast and then drove back to the OC. Hung out here a bit while we downloaded the pics and got them sent to him at his house, and then he went home.

… So, in short, I had a really good weekend and hopefully Austin and I will become some good friends. Time will tell. Seems we might be going camping sometime.

Speaking of which though, I’m not sure if I mentioned this or not, but my on call week was changed from my birthday weekend to the weekend before. So I think I’m going to be going camping the weekend of my birthday. I WAS thinking channel islands, but that seems like too much work for camping by myself, since you have to pack everything in. So now I’m thinknig Anzo.

Ok, so… Last night was great, after the initial problems!

So I get home at like 1:30 or so, go on my bike ride, come back and hang around talking to Blake for a while online. Then I go and shower and get dressed to go. Get a nice coat and shirt and put them in my car, so that they don’t get too wrinkled on the drive there. Make sure I have my camera, and my cell phone, some cough drops, altoids, and some cash to pay for parking.

Go out to my car and think… “I should get some water for the drive there cause traffic is going to be hellish”. So I go back in and get a bottle of water and then leave.

Traffic was hellish, 45 minutes to get there in stop and go traffic, all the fucking way. Blah! Get there and get out of my car, put on my shirt and grab my jacket. Go up to the window to get the tickets and she says. “I need to see a photo ID”. So I grab for my wallet… GONE!

So then I look in all my other pockets, I NEVER forget my wallet, it goes with me everywhere!

So I think maybe I left it in my car. So I run back to my car.. NOT THERE!.

So I start thinking about it, and I realize i never got it out of my pants that I wore to work. !!! OMG! I can’t believe it, It would have taken me an hour and a half at LEAST to get back home and back there, and south bound traffic was WORSE then the north bound! That means I would have missed cocktail hour AND the first course of dinner! So I txted OG to find out how far away he was to see if maybe he could just vouch for who I was.

However, MH got there first and we tried that, but the bitch wouldn’t buy it. That place is like nazis! So I called Jon, no answer, then I called Jeff, and he says that he can talk to the people at Club 33 and have them call the front desk and they can change it so that MH can have a guest and yeah. So like 40 minutes after I got there I was finially let into the damn park! It was crazyness.

So we get there and the party was lots of fun. GT mentioned that they had it at the Magic Castle 4 years ago, I voted we do it there next year too. lol. They had a magician there this year, but he NEVER came to the table I was at, very annoying! GT also said that he made $1,000 an HOUR! Clearly I’m in the wrong business! lol.

The food was amazing, the desserts were HEAVEN! And the drinks didn’t flow enough. lol. Though I did get pretty buzzed. I left there about 10:30 and got home at 11. Couldn’t get to sleep though and was up till midnight and then woke up again at 4:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I’ve been up since then. Blah!

I was a bit sad that I didn’t have anyone with me though. EVERYONE had a girlfriend or wife or something. The running joke was that MH and I were dates since he had to add me as a guest. lol. I really wish that Blake could have come… Well I wish more that I had an official boyfriend I could have taken!

Accountant on speaker: I have a CPA, don’t talk to me like that.

Tech: I can make up acronyms too. I’ll be in your office in five

minutes. In the meantime, ponder this one: I’m OMGWTF certified.

Runaway

I want to runaway for the weekend… it’s a 4 day weekend and I’m going to spend it sitting on my ass in my apartment alone! How stupid is that shit. But now it’s too late to really plan for anything. I’ve been invited out to Las Vegas for the weekend, but I’m really not in the mood to go all the way out there.. I really just want to go camping. But I don’t have a tent and a few other essentials. I do have them on my amazon.com wish list though. 🙂

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I feel like the only lasting friendship I’ve ever had is falling apart. I guess maybe I shouldn’t go on vacations with my friends… It seems bad things always happen once we return. I tried talking to blake about it, but he was already feeling like shit apparently. Jimmy said he looked like shit. But he didn’t have any comforting words, which made me feel even more like shit. I ended up not being able to take it and just went home at 11:30 and sat on my couch all night pouting.

This one guy who’s been trying to get me to hang out with him forever called me, but I declined… Again, he’s one of those people that for some reason thinks I’ll have sex with anyone, so he only calls me when he wants sex.. I honestly don’t know where people get that idea! I’m always very clear that I don’t do that shit… Maybe it’s the thought of the hunt or something. Anyways, he CLAIMED he just wanted to hang out, but I said no. And went to bed at 7:30. lol.

The company holiday party is coming up again.. Dec 19th. It’s on a monday night. I hate these things. They’re always so wierd and shit. Mainly I don’t feel comfortable about these things because it’s when everyone you work with pries into your personal life. IE, when they start asking about your girlfriend, because we know that EVERYONE is so fucking straight. Grrr, I hate that asumption! I wish there were someone I could take with me to these things. Last year I could have taken JonJon, but he just wasn’t presentable enough to a company event.. This year, I’d like for blake to come.. I’ve dropped a few hints here and there, but I’m sure he’s already got something going on, even though he’s not in school then…Plus it’d be a long ass drive for him just to go to a 3 or 4 hour party. Blake is very presentable and would work nicely as my pawn. haha.

In all, company parties should be banned.

I’ve packed up my bike for this afternoon, i’m going to go down to Laguna Beach and hit up the opposite end of the trail I usualy take. I’d like to be able to start there and then ride my bike to where I usually stop and then back to my car, but I fear that might be a bit too far for me. We’ll have to see.

I was driving home yesterday afternoon and the Sand Canyon exit was closed… Traffic was backed up for 3 fucking miles because this one exit was closed.. Comon people, it’s not rocket science to figure out that you just get off at the PREVIOUS or the NEXT exit! And it’s not like they didn’t have plenty of warning the damn thing was closed either! Fuckers.

Rent opened this morning… I’m going to try going tonight but it might be a little too busy.

I’ve done a few things over at my family website.. This is very much in the works, but as you can see, it’s fun!
