Ebay

Lately I’ve been bidding on a lot of Ebay Items… Bikes mostly since we’ve been in the market for those.. From different sellers. Now I’m not really sure what’s going on here though! First, I’ll bid, I usually wait till like the 8 hours to even start bidding on something. However in nearly ALL the auctions that I’ve been bidding on EVERY bid will be cancelled by the seller in like the last 5 hours or so. I’ll re-bid. Cancelled again! WTF is going on here?

I took the time to e-mail E-Bay, standard FAQ response. I e-mailed one of the sellers. Claims he was hacked? Is this happening to ALL these people? How can they all be getting hacked. It always has the same withdraw reason too “Wrong bid”… Then usually after the auction ends I get a 2nd chance notice… I always go directly to ebay.com and then find the auction and then e-mail the seller via that form. The seller always replies back saying they didn’t say it. WTF is going on here?

Is Ebay really that bad of a place that so many people are being scammed? What happens with these apparently fake 2nd chance offers? If someone follows through are they then scammed out of money or what?

One of them that it happened to was a car that I put an 18k bid in on. It was a car worth well over 30k so I knew I wouldn’t get it. But sure enough a day later I get a 2nd chance offer for the car at the bid price I put in. I called the dealership directly (they had the number up on the auction and I verified with google phonebook). Thier reply, “We relisted the item and did not send out any 2nd chance offers”.

In other news, I found a bike I really like, but it’s 1,200. Once you add in tax and all the accessories it’s going to be about 1,500. I’m realy not sure I want to spend that much at all. Though he is giving me a $300 discount on the bike itself! It’s just that if I get it, I had better do a lot of riding and I fear that this LifeCycle thing won’t come through, as much as I’d really like to do it, everyone knows that I don’t do things like that unless I am going with someone I already know. There’s the first training ride for it this Sunday at 8am. Perhaps I should go to it.

I’m also really concerned about Germany. Plans are still moving along, but things just keep coming up for the other two people who might be going. One of them has work commitments and needs all this approval crap, and the other needs to build up enough time off. I’m just not sure how we can pull this off. But again, everyone knows I freak out about the pre-planning on things. I just need to get them both together at the same time, sit down and figure out what’s going to happen! Cause damnit. I WANT TO GO!

Today on Digg.com There was this cool thing about wallets I want the last one that is $340 It’s so pretty and would match my powerbook amazingly. But I also found this one called The Jimi, it’s so cute.

I was supposed to have a meetng today with someone to take over this guys website, but the current weblord hasn’t been around all day. I’m a bit nervous because I’m supposed to do the first update tomorrow and have ZERO information as to what I need to do!!!

And lastly, I saw Woz on The Daily Show (i think?) the other day and he showed his Business card. Now that is ONE cool card!

Revolution Time!

Seriously people, what is WRONG with this country, 3 school shootings in the last week, this guy in congress, Dirty dirty dirty. It’s time for a revolution. If this doesn’t wake up all those damn right wing bitches, then what will!?

This man was head of the group to protect children online and yet he was doing this!?!? This man is discusting and should be shot or something. The republican leadership that covered this up should be thrown out and Bush should be impeached… Well just for being Bush. I haven’t read anything yet that he was aware of this. But it’s been going on for at least 5 years! Comon people, why wasn’t something done about this YEARS ago!

How many poor kids did this man actually molest or something? Who knows, but you sure know it went much farther then just dirty messages online! UGH

REVOLUTION PEOPLE! Vote new people in… It’s coming up soon! Ugh!

In other news, the Germany trip is coming along it appears… I think I’m getting my hopes up a little too much though. I feel it’s all going to fall through any minute now.

Drove down to NB today, there was a car on fire and the freeway was REALLY backed up. Very annoying… Been chatting with people all morning about things since, and haven’t really started any work.

Online Bullying

Omg… So I’m watching Dr Keith right now on FOX… They’re doing a thing on “Online Bulllying”.. Something about a myspace group called “The Plastics”. First of all, these people who say they are so HOT, etc are UGLY. The one is a big flaming fag, etc.

So these people are bitching about how this group apparently ruined thier lives… Excuse me!? These people didn’t have to TRY to join the group, these people didn’t have to keep going back for the abuse, these people could have used the BLOCK button! That’s what it’s there for. Get over it people.

These kids are assholes, yes… But having a whole TV show about it, having these people get so freaky over it…

I do have to agree with the fag boy on one point… “It’s just a myspace group, why are you getting so emotional”?! Exactly! WHY are they doing this?!

In other news. I went out today to get my hair cut. People are idiots! IDIOTS I tell you. I go into one store and there are 4 people sitting there waiting, only ONE person cutting hair, and I’m told. “Someone will be right with you”. You can clearly hear 4 people in the back room laughing, etc. I really wanted to go back there and yell at them. Ugh, that is NOT NOT NOT how you run a customer service business.

And they were filming The OC in Hermosa Beach last night… Ummm, did I move back to the OC and no one tell me? lol. Jason was pissed cause there was no parking because of it. Bastards.

Wasted Day

Ugh, so yesterday was a COMPLETE waste of a day. I had a meeting in Newport Beach, so I think GREAT! I can check out the Bike Shop that JP is always talking about. I check it out online, they are open on Wed’s! So I drive down there… Get in about 9:30 and I have an e-mail, meeting…. CANCELLED! Great… NOT! So I do some work and at lunch I drive down to the bike shop…. CLOSED! UGH! COMPLETLY wasted day! I didn’t get home till 8 last night, ate dinner and went to bed.

Woke up about 3:30 this morning from a horrible dream in which bears were terrorizing my family’s back yard. Random. They even someone dragged my Grandma into the pond. Thankfully we saved her, with minor wounds. So I go to check my cell phone (AKA, Alarm Clock & only clock in the house).. “Searching for Service…”. So I think GREAT! Another wonderful thing. I figure it’s just stupid so I take out the battery and put it back in.. “Searching…” I watch it for a while and nothing comes up, so I go searching the house for my watch, which I haven’t been wearing and had no idea where it was at. Finially find it and it says 3:30. I go back to bed, but of course now I can’t sleep because I’m affraid that my Phone has no idea what time it is and thus won’t go off in the morning.

So I lay there and lay there.. Finially it’s time to get up and my alarm clock DOES go off! Stupid phone, but it still refuses to tell me what time it is, just “Seaching….” UGH. I Shower and come back, get dressed and NOW it has service. Very annoying.

Drive into the office and get stuck behind some idiot who clearly has no idea how to drive… Speeding along 80mph, no one is infront of them, BRAKES! 60…. back up o 80… BRAKES.. 60. back and forth, and the traffic in the lane next to us was so heavy that I couldn’t get over!

I _REALLY_ want to go to Germany. I found tickets there in Nov for $550.. I found some in Jan for $626.. Anyone want to go!?!?!??! PLEASE! I’d be willing to make arrangements on costs. 😛

I also REALLY want to freaking buy a house somewhere. I’ve been looking online and reading up about what I need to do. I’m just too scared and I can’t decide WHERE to buy a house. Everywhere I think to look seems like a not good place to buy…. I just don’t know.

I spent a lot of time the other day updating my family’s website… I even sent out REALLY long letters to everyone explaining what I did and I created them all login’s etc. But no one has replied or updated it. 🙁

White And Nerdy

50 ways a manager can get employees to quit. Soooo true, sadly I see some of these in my current job. Thankfully I don’t think I’ll be quiting anytime soon, but there are talks from others.

46 things I wish my mother told me about money. A GREAT read for anyone! I really need to take some of these to heart.

The clock now goes On/Off. But no clock function yet. 🙁 It’s pretty I think.

Who in the HELL drinks decaf coffee at 5:30am?!?! WTF is up with that people!

Have I mentioned that my car is now officially leaking oil? It’s been burning oil for a while now, but the other day I noticed some spots on the floor under my car. I figured at first it was just water from the A/C. But upon checking it was indeed oil. UGH!

Ok, so Friday I left work at noon and came home, bought all the groceries for the BBQ and then spent the afternoon cleaning the house up. My place looks GOOD! 🙂 Started cooking stuff about 6pm, and the BBQ went off without a HITCH!

I think everyone had a great time, at one point we had 10 people here, including the neighbor lady and her mom. That was entertaining. 🙂 Most of the night we had 6 people here. They stayed till about 2am chatting it up and having a great time! I actually had to kick them out! lol. Robert and Andrew both spent the night.

Saturday we got up and Andrew and I hung out here, made the left over burgers for lunch and thne went up to the Coffee Cartel, which is SO Cute! I’m going to have to start spending more time up there! I’d have to say that it’s better then Java Joes! We spent a few hours there and then Jason called and we went back to Abolne(sp?) Cove. Where we saw 3 Sea lions! It was SO cute! And tons of other stuff. Amazing place this is. Totaly going to the top of my second date list! 🙂

That took nearly 3 hours, so we came back here Andrew showered and then headed out. I laid down to take a nap so that I could go out with Jason later in the night… I didn’t wake up till 5am… Opps! I crawled in bed and slept till 8am.. So that’s like 6pm-8am of sleeping! I feel very refreshed this morning.

Mike is supposed to be coming over in a bit, but I haven’t heard anything from him. So who knows. I really need to go to the gym today.

So far that’s been my weekend. Very good times indeed.
