Christmas for all… But me. :(

So i was really craving some DQ Blizzards today, so before going out and getting one i looked up the nut facts.

ONE LARGE Blizzard contains youre ENTIRE DAYS worth of calories and 172% of your daily FAT INTACT! And they wonder why americans are so fucking fat! Even the small one is still 50% of your fat and 1/4 of your calories!

Needless to say, i didn’t go get one. INstead i went to Vons and got some molassas cookies, which i’m sure are at least just a little better for you then those damn DQ blizzards!

Today was christmas for everyone at my office but me. 🙁 Needless to say again, i was annoyed. OG got netapp training, WF got an external HD, SR went to london with his wife, and DS got new routers or switches or something… Where’s my present?! I want training.

I really want to go talk to jeff about what they’re vision is for me in the company. because i’m getting really annoyed with this. i did get a HUGe project dumped on me on monday though. looks like that should be pumped out in 3 days though. But then I got a HUGE list of new updates to the timesheet app. which I really want to convert to php from coldfusion, perhaps i should take this chance to convert it, depending onhow looong my time frame is to get those done. so i guess that was my present. lol

anyways, i want to talk to jeff but we all know i don’t do that very well. about the only time i can confront people that piss me off is when they really piss me off, but then i go off on them like crazy.

speaking of! this fucker almost killed me on the interstate today… we were both getting on at the same on ramp, and it’s 3 lanes, he was in the far left one, i was in the middle… i passed him cause hew as going slow and start to merge into the one he’s in, because I needed to be in that lane or else it turns into an exit. but then he SPPPPEEEEDDDSS up and gets next to me and starts making blow job motions, so i speed up and get infront of him, then he speeds up and cuts me off and then gets next to me again and starts flipping me off and going the bj motions again. so i flip him off, slam on my brakes and try to get behind him (because by this point i was about to get off at another exit) but he does the same and almost slams into me because he tries getting into the same lane i’m in.. eventually this big semi cut him off and i was albe to get away. stupid fuckers.

ALSO! BT at work annoyed me as wlel. he sent out the new on call list today for the week and i told put the wrong person for next week. i’ve told him TWICE (9/27 and 11/22, i found the e-mails.) that WF and I are switching next week because otherwise he’d be on call 3 weeks for dec… so i replied to the notice telling him AGAIN that WF and i were switching and he e-mails me back saying “you need to tell me these things”.. So i replied (I sent you two e-mails in the past) and then listed the dates.

Then he e-mails me back and is like, guess i need to get my eyes checked because i missed them both.. WHICH! He REPLIED to the one in Sept saying “I’m going to update my calendar now”… Which he clearly didn’t! He’s a really nice guy, but i mean common, this is a REALLY easy thing to manage!

I’ve been spoiled the last couple days getting to talk to blake all day long. We’ve actually been skyping which is fun. He talks and then I reply by typing. haha. It’s so cute. lol. Then when no one of just one or two people are in the office I actually talk to him. Anyways, the point is that he wasn’t on today because he was in chemo, and i missed talking to him. :'(

Joshua Imed me today, claiming he’s been in the hospital since thursday and broke his phone. Then he was like, “wanna hang out still” and I said no. Stupid fucker. Then he was like, “I want to see your cock, i’ve never seen an uncut one before” and I was like, “you’re stupid”. Well I didn’t really say that I just stopped talkig to him. What a wierdo.

Everyone from Iowa has been talking about how nice the snow is.. Andrew mentioned it on his blog and jenks said something about going snow boarding today on his… I can’t wait to get back. There better still be snow! and I’m going skiiing damnit. Did I mention that Jenks and I are going to Chicago or Minn while I’m back! that’ll be so much fun. I just wish that the ice palace would be up, but it doesn’t start till mid-jan. 🙁

No London For Me

So we just kinda had an impromptu meeting here this morning.. I guess they are sending ANOTHER SA to fucking London. This time for a month!

I’m sorry, but this is getting insane. I was hired here a year and a half ago to be the SA for fucking London! Granted, the project wasn’t supposed to be this big, but I’m sure I could have handled it. Now they are sending two people over there and have completely brushed me off. 🙁

Then they told me that I would be the second guy in the Cisco shit, all the Switches, Routers, etc. And I busted my ass for a year getting the certifications, and now they seem to have brushed that off. Then they told me I’d be the SA for the internal environment, but that hasn’t really come around either…. Now I’m stuck doing Business Operations programming which I really hate.

I don’t think I’m doing a poor job here, I mean no one has indicated as such and my boss always seems thrilled with my work, and I doubt they would have giving me that huge salary bump early last year. (though that was mainly I think to bring me up to equal par with OG).

I guess we’ll have to see how this changes things with the other guy being gone perhaps I’ll get more of his responsibilities (which happen to be projects I WAS WORKING ON before he started), though maybe I should really consider that other job, now?

Not a Way to Start.

I’ve already put out one fire so far this morning. Damn computers!

So I had this random ass dream last night, about me and Skinny…. How random, cause I haven’t seen him in years! We were spending a weekend together at my grandparents for some reason. And we showered together, but nothing sexual happened. We were just hanging out as friends. Very strange. I’d really like to see Mike again, although we were never good friends, he was always fun to hang out with.

I’ve been awake since 1 this morning. Blah. 🙁

Good news! I might get to see Blake on the 13th. And depending on if he can get away from the Monster-In-Law, he might be coming all the way down to the OC! So I’m excited already, but I’ll be super duper excited once all the plans are finialized!

Got the company christmas party invites yesterday. Cocktails at 6:30 and then dinner at 7, with free passes to the park for all day. Blah!

I also got another e-mail from the guy offering me a job. It’s like the exact SA job that I want, here’s the description he gave me:

The specific duties include ordinary things like dealing with our various hardware devices & related applications – linux & mac servers, email & ftp & web servers, routers, firewalls, mac laptops, asterisk phone switch, backups, monitoring, telecom lines, network printers, etc. – mostly in support of your co-workers and sometimes for our clients. For example, we have demanding & changing security compliance requirements and we need to change/improve many things to meet those requirements. Also we want to implement enterprise-class disaster recovery (using a combination of interesting opensource technologies like xen & drbd). Also we want to implement a global ldap/directory system for our distributed offices & clients (haven’t yet decided whether to use apple’s or redhat’s ldap implementations). Also we want to implement a wikipedia-like system for our product documentation (would be used by thousands of users around the world). Also we want to upgrade our bugzilla issue tracking system and integrate it more tightly with our business partners. Also want to automate monitoring of our systems & services. As you might imagine, there is no end to the projects necessary to keep a company modern & competitive, and you would play a role in many of them.

AND they just switched from all Desktop PCs to Mac desktops! Woot! It sounds like an amazing job.. Sad thing is that I’d have to take a 15,000 pay cut. Which I really don’t want to be doing. So yeah.

I wish my cat would understand that taking these damn pills is for her own good! Stupid animals.

Blake made me watch this amazing movie yesterday called, “House of Sand and Fog.” I dunno how old it is, but if you haven’t seen it you MUST go watch it! I was crying 30 minutes into the movie and it only got sader from there… But I HATE the fucking Cop man, he’s a freaking bitch, I wish the kid would have shot him.

But you know I’ve been very emotional lately because commercials have been making me cry, so yeah.

I want to go romp around in the snow with someone sexy and make snow angels!

On Friday I was in Laguna Beach and found my next art purchase. It’s an original, 7feet wide by 6feet tall. It’s amazing. Now I just have to save money to buy it!

Inventory

Haha, so I just did all my laundry and find it amazing how many clothes I have, and actually wear!

So here’s an inventory:

45 Pairs of Underwear

6 pairs of shorts

9 Pairs of blue jeans

80 shirts

8 Dress shirts

3 pairs of slacks

6 Jackets

10 stocking caps

50 pairs of socks

1 pair of gloves

and only 10 pairs of shoes!

Clearly I need more shorts and shoes!

I really need more jeans though because mine are getting old and torn up, but they are always so expensive!

Oh, and I have a pile to go to good will with about 10 pairs of shirts and 2 jeans.

I just think it’s funny.

Damn Cats

Why is it that whenever I splurge on myself to get something nice, something big always comes up that I HAVE to pay for.

I took the cat to the vet yesterday… $500!! Holy shit. She didn’t throw up again after we took her, but she did this morning about 8. I tried giving her the meds they gave her… 2 pills and this sticky stuff. It was really gross. I couldn’t get the damn pills down her though. And she dug her claws all the way into my thumb, it bled for like 30 minutes. damn cat!
