Good Day!

Wow, so yesterday was just such a great day for me…

So I got the good news, Work was crazy, so much stuff going on. Meetings back to back pretty much. I already had lots of meetings planned, however with the news that added 4 total meetings throughout the day. And one of the meetings, I was asked to go make a major programming change WHILE THEY WAITED, which just added so much more stress, thankfully I completed it in half the time they gave me! Then we had to bounce a server that is hosted up in SM, and when we did it didn’t come back up! So everything went to hell then. When I left they were still trying to find someone that had the right sort of cable to connect to the box and get it started back up. Blah.

Austin came over right after work, as he was already in the area doing an interview with a guy I set him up with. He said that it went well, but that he hated the guy. Which is funny because it’s true, the guy is nice, but he got on my nerves during the interview too. He says he might just take this job in DC if he gets the offer. That’d be sad to havea him leave since I’ve finially made a friend that seems worth keeping!

So he came over, we hung out here and talked about that for like an hour or two. Then we went out and got dinner, it’s really funny because we both seem to always order the same thing. We have a lot of strange things in common. I’m going to invite him camping next weekend. Dinner was good, then we went and rented some movies.. It was hard to pick some out because he has them all on xvid and stuff so we didn’t want to get one that he had, but we also didn’t want to drive back down to his place to get them all. Ended up gettind Duece Big, European one.. And then some scary movie. We watched that one first and it was more funny then scary, the point. Then we went hot tubbing and swimming which was fun! Everyone knows how much I love hot tubbing.

Came back here and we both changed back to our normal clothes then watched the Will & Grace from last night which was pretty funny. I like live tv, they should do more of them like that. lol. Then we cuddled and watched the other movie.. He fell asleep in my arms which was cute. So I woke him up and made him go home, which was about 11:00.

I think this is good, we both aren’t really looking for boyfriends, and we both have lots in common, so I see good things for this friendship. He has however grabbed my ass jokingly some. And I his, it’s very nice and firm. lol. It’ll suck though if he does move out to DC.

So, randomly Myke (we all remeber him right?) IMed me the other night as well. Very random, being the same fucking Myke, takes forever to respond, etc. What a wierdo.

AND lastly (on the topic of frineds), Andrew and I are apparently not friends anymore. He’s officially deleted me from his LJ friends list. Whatever jackass.

Today I have lots to do. I’m doing laundry now, then my bathroom needs a good scrubbing. Then I’ve got to go out shopping, I need the following:

Remainder of camping gear (Dutch oven, Cooler, etc).

New Glasses.

Fabric for pillows and pillow inserts.

Food!!

Incense (Which I can only find in one place in SJC).

Bike shopping.

Adios all.

Life As A House

I forgot to mention that I watched Life As A House last night.

When this movie came out in theaters, I REALLY wanted to go see it. Mainly because of the hot boys that were in it. But someone back then told me it wasn’t worth seeing.

OMG, were they WRONG! That movie is so good.. And I cried so much! If you haven’t seen this yet, you have to go see it!

I kinda had a bad talk with Blake last night as well, not too sure how he feels about me anymore. Maybe I should give up and move on. Though, I don’t really want to get too attached to someone else around here because I want to be moving soon. Who knows.

My horoscope today says that I should take the day off, but I’m going to stay and work.

So I did probably one of the most spontaneous things I’ve ever done this weekend. I invited a guy I had never met before out to go hiking out in the palm springs area (Up the tram).

But, anyways. Back to where we last left out…. Anyways, Friday was a boring ass day at work. I had some minor things to do, nothing exciting. Things were going slow at work for some reason, damn network issues or something like that. Not sure, anyways, I got NOTHING done because of that. I left early again so that Iw ouldn’t miss my packages, but they ended up not getting there till 5 anyways. So I did my bike ride and all that anyways. And did some more work at home.

The damn cat just threw up AGAIN! This time that bitch is NOT going to the fucking vet.

Anyways, I hung out with Robert on friday night, we watched this movie called ‘Everyone’. Horrible MOVIE! Though there was one hot boy and one boy we couldn’t decide if he was hot or not. lol. But I couldn’t be brought to turn it off because I wanted to know how it ended! lol.

After the movie we talked for a while and then he left. Saturday I got up and couldn’t bring myself to do my laundry cause I was too lazy. I just wanted to get out. So I went on my bike ride. On the way out though I saw these two women and a bunch of kids in scout uniforms, so I went up to them and introduced myself and got a phone number of a local scout troop that could use some help. So I gotta call that guy.

Did my bike ride and went a lot further back there I usually do, it gets really pretty. Came home and showered and talked to this guy Austin for a while online, then he said he was going to go shower, so I went to best buy because I somehow ended up with two DVD’s of Star Wars I, so I traded one in for a III. 🙂

One the way there and back though I just thought that I had to get out of the OC for a day and get to the country… So I decided to go up to the Mount out by Palm Springs. I had told Austin that I wanted to hang out too, so when I got back I invited him and to my surprise he said he would go!

So I called my aunt and uncle to let them know I’d be in the area and they asked that we stop by when we were done and do dinner with them at the Club, which meant we had to bring some nice clothes.

Austin got here at 1, and we went up to subway, grabbed a quick bit to eat, and then headed out. While we were talking though at Subway we found out that we both know someone from Iowa! It’s very random!

We headed out to Palm Springs and made really good time, got up to the top of the tram and walked around for about 2 hours. Got some great pics, which I’ll hopefully get up on the photodump soon. We had a really good time, he was very nice and we had a lot to talk about. And have a lot of the same ideals about people inthe OC. It was pretty funny.

After that we headed over to my aunt and uncles house and changed then we went to the Club house. Of course you HAVE to have a drink there, so I got an apple martini! Yum yum… And then… Well I had another. lol.

And then.. I had a glass of wine. Needless to say, there was NO way we were driving home that night. So we stayed at thier house. I have to say, I didn’t get shit for sleep last night. 🙁 But it was nice to have someone to lay next to in bed. He also gave me a really nice back rub. 🙂

So we got up this morning, ate breakfast and then drove back to the OC. Hung out here a bit while we downloaded the pics and got them sent to him at his house, and then he went home.

… So, in short, I had a really good weekend and hopefully Austin and I will become some good friends. Time will tell. Seems we might be going camping sometime.

Speaking of which though, I’m not sure if I mentioned this or not, but my on call week was changed from my birthday weekend to the weekend before. So I think I’m going to be going camping the weekend of my birthday. I WAS thinking channel islands, but that seems like too much work for camping by myself, since you have to pack everything in. So now I’m thinknig Anzo.

Yep, and that’s been my weekend!

BrokeBack Again

Yo yall, Brokeback opens in two theaters in DM on Friday!

But, I was listening to NPR yesterday and heard a story about Brokeback, apparently Heath is REALLY married to the woman who played his wife in Brokeback, and they are having a kid! Who knew?

But the funny part of this story is that when they were doing the movie, she wanted Heath and the other guy to make out so that she could get a good reaction when they were shooting the part with her on the deck catching them making out. Anyways, they started, and were doing a shitty job so she yelled at them to make it look real and stuff. (They had to shoot that one sceen 15 times I think he said)

It’s just funny that his WIFE was yelling at him to make out with another guy. haha.

First Five are very interesting to hear.

Brokeback was also voted the number one tear jerker movie this year.

And I’ve been getting lots of google hits for searches of this movie! Hello everyone. 🙂

Departing DM

Well, good bye DM, and good bye 2005. Welcome to 2006 everyone. If things work out I won’t be back to DM for a year. And strangly enough I’m really not all that sad about it. Sure I’m going to miss my friends, Mandy, Zach, Nic, etc. But Justin and Jed just didn’t come through this time like they normally do, so I’m over it. I’m really very annoyed with Jed though. Oh well. Tis all in the past now.

Speaking of the new year, I spent the night hanging out with Mandy, Zach and Vero. We had a good time, nothing really. It was more like just an average night. We watched a movie and played this random Pimp/Whore game. It was very fun though I was very out of it and not in a greatest mood every. What with the news of Blake and feeling sick in general.

I got home about 2ish and went to bed. I didn’t climb out of bed till noon. Mostly I spent the morning laying there thinking about blake and feeling like shit because i’m sick again.

Blah blah blah. I have a feeling this will be a year of great ups and downs, and over all bad in general. We shall see.

I get into OC at 9:30 tonight. And will be going straight to bed once I get home.
