Halloween!

What a freaking ridiculous weekend!

So Friday I got off work and headed out to WeHo to meet up with Steve. We got there and ate dinner and drank a lot and then headed out to WeHo. Walked down the street and took HUNDREDS of pictures with lots of RANDOM ass people in crazy costumes. We stuffed some small bottles in our pants for the street walking. Drank those and what not. Finally got to the Abbey and the place was PACKED, they weren’t letting people in and the cops came and were shoving people all over the place. Headed over to the factory and the line was LONG, but thankfully we knew people and were able to walk right in.

The place was insane packed, I headed to the bathroom and came back with just my underwear! (And no, I didn’t get any action the WHOLE night!) I honestly don’t remember much after that though. I ordered a Long Island and danced the night away with the boys. I guess I made out with some guy, but I don’t recall? We all walked home after running into Mayko. Yes, I had to WALK home in my underwear! Redic!

We got back to the place and Kris had a little bit of a blow up at me, but we talked it out and he ended up staying the night. We all got up around 9:30 on saturday and went out for brunch. From there Kris and I headed to Griffith Observatory and it was really pretty! You could see all these storms all over LA and stuff. We hung out there for a while and then all of a sudden a HUGE storm moved in with lightening and shit so we headed out to my Aunt’s house in the valley.

Got there and her dogs were insane. Nick showed up and we went to the grocery store then made dinner and my aunt and uncle got home we had dinner chatted it up and had a great time. The three of us then headed out to Kris’ friends house and played a game and spent a few hours there. It was a LOT of fun there that night! Headed back to the aunt’s house and sat in the hot tub a while then hit bed.

Got up at 4:45am Sunday and had a quick breakfast then headed out to this Muddy Buddy thing that Kris and Nick were doing. It looked like a lot of fun. I had a good time just hanging out at the park and what not. Lots of hot muddy boys! 🙂

They got done with it much faster then I thought they would so we packed up and went back to the Aunt’s house where she made a full buffett of food including french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc! Delicious! After that we sat in the hot tub for a while and then drove back to LA.

The freeways were amazing!! Got home in no time at all, laid down on the couch and promptly fell asleep! Woke up again at like 4pm and watched some TiVo then went over to Kris’ house to watch Simpsons and what not.

Today I am back at work. I can’t wait for this election to be over with! I’m so sick of hearing all the ads and shit.

On Friday I enabled a new internet filter here at the office. Today I got this long bitching email from this woman about how she uses her personal laptop, etc, blah blah blah and how we have no right to filter what she does on her laptop. I’m not FILTERING what you do on your laptop. I’m FILTERING what you access using our COMPANY’S INTERNET! So I went through the logs of what she’s been doing and I haven’t found ONE work related website that she’s been to since Friday when I enabled the filter! Very random!

So anyways, Jason and I got in a huge fight again on Friday as well. He was being a total asshole because I wouldn’t ditch Kris and Steve to go to his Party instead and said he wasn’t going to invite me anywhere again. So I went off on him about how I have other plans and how I don’t just ditch people like he does. Then I find out he sends this email to Kris about it and blah blah blah. Now this mutual friend that we know says that his friend spent the night at Jason’s. Things are starting to REALLY unravel and it seems like someone is full of lies around here. It’s VERY annoying.

I Should Fire Myself!

Sooo a few annoying things!

First I just found out that I don’t get to use any of my vacation time for a full YEAR at my company!! What the fuck. You have got to e kidding me! I should be able to use my vacation time as it becomes available! This seems absolutely ridiculous that the company would have such a policy. I hate American companies with this sort of shit. We need vacations to relax and live. It’s not our fault that people are stuck up assholes.

Second I gave a presentation to the CFO the other day about my plans to save the company $110k over the next year. He said, and I quote… “I should fire myself”. I wanted to burst out laughing SOOOOO badly! I could not believe it! He really should fire himself this kind of horrible mis-management is just inexcusable. So I gave the same presentation to the CEO yesterday and he was PISSED! He kept demanding to know who was in charge of this before I started and etc etc. Thankfully the Executive Assistant was in there and she’s the one who placed the blame square in CFO’s lap! So hopefully something will become of this and things will get better. I have my fingers crossed that we’ll get a new CFO, but I highly doubt that’ll happen.

Third, my trainer is almost over, which I’m sad about, but also glad because I can’t afford to keep paying for him. I’m defiantly seeing the results that I want now, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with that.

Fourth, I have two people pursuing me, one I actually like and one I like as just friends. But I’m to afraid to act on the one because I don’t want to risk losing the friendship there as well. It’s all very confusing and very annoying! Damn boys!

Other then that, not much has been going on this week. I hung out with Kris/Jason pretty much every day this week. I’ve been very very tired all day too. Tuesday I went to Jason’s for dinner and then Kris joined us. Jason even made cookies! How nice of him. Last night I went to Kris’ and we watched the final two Freddy movies. Tonight we’re going to watch some other scary movie as well.

I’m getting a little over whelmed at work right now. Two HUGE projects going on at once, and only ME to manage the whole IT infrastructure of this company. Including helpdesk functions, etc. I just don’t have the time to do anything else!

Ok. I’m out.

San Diego and Dreaming!

Another trip to San Diego and another great time! I love that city and it makes me want to move there even more every time I visit!

Last week was VERY productive! Aaron got here early on Thursday morning and we went out for breakfast and then came to the office. We analysed everything and worked through the numbers and what not and found out that we can save my company 43% per-month on phone costs, which amounts to around $65,000 over the next 12 months! Insanity! I was basically unable to believe it for most of the time. I kept sitting here saying, “We have to be missing something”. Thankfully we put a line item in for a monthly cost called “Fluff” @ $1,000 and we also built in 50,000 talk minutes @ $0.035 so hopefully that’ll absorb anything we missed!

Friday night we all went out to WeHo and I got WAY to drunk, but oh my god was it tons of fun! It was a good time just like what we used to have. Got home about 3ish and was up till around 4am. Got a call Saturday morning from work about something not working which was very very annoying.

Got up about 9ish and was planning to leave for SD much earlier, but everyone was slow and the drinking was crazy, so Kris and I went to breakfast and then picked up Aaron and off to SD we went. Got down there and I was going to take the scenic route down and just chill in the beach cities and what not, but Aaron wanted to go to TJ, so we headed there. It was a very interesting experience to say the least. I got some really cheap shoes and Kris got some really cheap Alc! Yay!

After that we headed to the hotel room which ended up being a Euro Style hostel! We were NOT expecting that at all but it was a REALLY cute place and had it been in Europe and wasn’t so fucking expensive it would have been perfect. When we got there Aaron apparently knew the front desk clerk guy which was a little AWK.

Went to the room and relaxed for about 30 minutes and then headed out to the house of blues for appetizers and a drink. Aaron said he was tired and went back to the hotel. Kris and I metup with his friends at the Yardhouse for dinner and we were there forever. It was a TON of fun, but they all just kept talking and talking. After that we went next door for a drink and then headed back to the hotel room. I think we got back at like 1:30ish or so and slept till 9:30 the next morning.

Got up and ate breakfast with some of Aaron’s friends and then headed to Cabrillo point which was just amazing! From there we went and toured Kris’ old college which was CUTE as hell and then headed back to LA. Dropped Aaron off at the airport and then went home for a few hours, took a nap then Jason, Kris and I watched 2 more freddy movies.

San Diego and Climbing!

Ugh. I can’t believe that it’s already Oct 20th! Where is this year going!??!

This weekend was another busy busy weekend! Friday night was a dinner party. Our first one in a while. It was just Steve, Jason and I for a while, then these two girls showed up. The one girl was fun, the other was scary and smoked. Gross. We had lots of fun though and it was good to catch up with Steve again. Ended up playing Phase 10 till like midnight and then went home.

Saturday morning I got up early and ran some errands then met up with Jason and Vince for breakfast then drove down to Santa Ana. Met up with this guy Dustin and then carpooled down to Solana Beach to this delicious pizza place called Pizza Port. I’ve been there a few times before and Love that place! 🙂 From there we drove through the beach cities and headed into San Diego. Went to Balboa park and walked around a bit, had a few drinks and then saw this play called “The Women” which was hilarious! After that we went to some huge Hotel and had more drinks then tried to make the 6:30 train back but JUST missed it so we ended up having dinner down there and then catching the 8:30 train back. Which was hilarious! The woman kept yelling at us and being all bitchy.

Sunday morning I got up and headed out climbing. It was just Jerry and I and he didn’t even climb at all. So I did 3 hours of climbing. I was EXHAUSTED by the time I got home and my fingers are still hurting from all of it. Got home about noon and did some stuff around the house and then called Kris, he and I went shopping at the Thirft stores for his halloween costume then hit up the Apple store where I orgasmed all over the new MacBook Pros. From there we went to Fry’s and I was expecting to just buy a new external hard drive because mine was filled up, but they had a 1TB Terastation for sale $350! So I bought that because I’ve been wanting one FOREVER! Brought that home and then went grocery shopping and made dinner for Kris and I and then watched some scary movie.

So that was basically the weekend. Lots of crazyness and lots of fun!

Road Closed, Record Lows, Plan D!

20 miles, 9 hours, 4,000 foot elevation gain, 24 hours of NO PEOPLE, roads closed, snow, record lows, having to go with Plan D! All Priceless! 🙂

Wow, what a weekend. It all started on Thursday night when we decided to have a last minute Pumpkin Pie party. So Sirin, Kris, and Jason all came over to my house and we baked a pumpkin pie, sat around talking and drinking wine! What a great night! It was Sirin’s last weekend in her apartment! :'(

Friday I got up early and headed to work got a TON of stuff done before everyone else showed up and then headed out to Santa Monica for a meeting. Had a great meeting there with a new contractor and then changed and off to Fresno to pick up Nick. Got there about 2:30ish and off to Yosemite. We get to the main gate at 4:20 and the wilderness office in Wawona closed at 4:30, so we booked it down there and get there just as they were about to close, thankfully Nick knew the girls in the office so they were very very helpful, sadly they JUST closed Tioga road up to the Meadows a few minutes before we got there! We ask them to give us a permit for that area anyways and we’ll just hope that they open the road in the morning.

On our way down to the valley it starts snowing pretty good and we stop a few times, pick up some supplies because Nick forgot all his food at home, found the Backpackers campground, setup camp and then headed to the Lodge for dinner. My hottie desk clerk was still working there from this spring! Yum! I got to talk to him this time too! 🙂 After dinner we headed back to the campsite, made a fire and sat around talking for a few hours.

Saturday morning we get up, pack up and head to the Wilderness office, find out that Tioga road was STILL closed and they weren’t expecting it to open till after 1 or 2pm. Glacier road was closed as well, but they were expecting it to open around 10am. So we get a new wilderness permit for some hiking along glacier. We were just going to hike along the rim of the valley and camp up there. So we putz around the valley some more and then head up to Glacier road. Get there right at 10 and the road is still closed. We talk to the ranger at the gate and he said he wasn’t expecting it to open till 1 or 2 now. We didn’t want to wait around just to find out it won’t open at all, etc. So we dig out the map and start looking for alternatives. Finally decide to head out to Hetch Hetchy.

On the drive up there we stop at Tioga road just to check and it was STILL closed, we ran into a guy that we had met at the wilderness office and talk to him for a couple minutes then continue our drive up to Hetch Hetchy. Get there and get a new wilderness permit for the trail we had decided on up to Miguel Meadows. The rangers were very helpful and told us that even though EVERYONE was coming up to that area now that the other two were closed we were the ONLY people getting permits for our trail. GREAT news! So we finally get hiking about 1pm and it was just wonderful out there. By 2pm we were up the trail pretty good and we saw the last of the people we’d see for the next 24 hours! It was wonderful! We get up to the top of the ridge and come across this sign that says we’d already gone 4 miles! Crazy! We really booked it up the first part. So we slowed down from there as we hiked through the meadows.

About 4 we came across an abandoned ranger cabin and decided to put down camp there for the night. We dropped off our gear and explored the area a little bit then headed a few more miles into the park to get to Lake Eleanor. It was about 8 miles round trip to the lake edge and back and only 5 miles to the lake over look. Sadly I was getting a HUGE blister on my foot so we had to turn around. Got back to our camp site and gathered some wood and started a nice big fire, ate dinner and then sat around talking about anything and everything the rest of the night! The cabin/shed provided a GREAT wind barrier because we camped in between them, I’m glad we did too cause it would have been FREEZING even more if we hadn’t had that barrier, you could hear the winds howling pretty damn good! The forecast was for gusts to 50mph!

Crawled into the sleeping bag about 9pm and I went straight to sleep. I had my mummy bag completely closed up so my entire body was all the way inside the bag. The overnight low was around 15 degrees! About 4am I woke up and because my bag had come open a little bit and my nose was FREEZING. Nick was awake as well so we talked a bit and then watched the starts! Sooooooo beautiful! Shooting stars everywhere. I got a little bit freaked out there for a bit though cause I kept hearing branches breaking and stuff! lol. Fell back asleep and woke up again around 7am. Sat in the bag for a while because it was so cold outside. Eventually got up, broke down camp, ate breakfast, explored the area a little more and found that there was an old barn not to far from us, then headed back to the car.

It was so sad heading back that way. I wanted to just keep hiking farther and farther back into the park! We didn’t see a single person till we got back down to the base of the trailhead. It was so sad seeing those first people again! LOL. Got back to the car and headed back to Fresno.

The drive back to Fresno was really nice, stopped into Wawona again and talked to the wilderness permit people again found out that Tioga road was STILL closed and never opened and that Glacier point had JUST opened Sunday morning so it’s a very good thing that we didn’t just sit around and wait for them to open. Though I do kinda wish we had got there before Tioga had closed, we would still be stuck up there! How fun would that be! lol.

Got back to Fresno, dropped Nick off and then headed back to LA. It was so sad driving home! 🙁 When I arrived home Sirin had left her lights on and her windows open, I saw her apartment all empty and was sad that she was gone now!

Overall it turned out to be a GREAT weekend up in Yosemite and I can’t wait to do another trip soon!
