Stupid people.

Hmm, so what have I been up too? Nothing but work! Work! and MORE WORK!

I’ve been putting in 12 hours days lately. Although I still find time to hit the beach and bike. 🙂 I’m really going to have to put some hard core time into the gym. I’m just not sure when I could fit that into my schedule. Like, I want to do it right after work, since I’m already out and about. But then I miss out on prime beach time. But if I do the beach first, then I’m too lazy to change and go to the gym. Also if I wait then it’s prime gym time and the place is packed. Ugh. Such hard decisions I have in my life!

Yesterday was deadline 1 of my project and it got shown to the AMs. So after work I hung out with Robert and didn’t have to think about it. That was nice for once! 🙂 Deadline 2 is in two weeks, so starting Monday it’s back to coding for 12 hours a day!

It felt really good showing off this project to everyone and they were all like amazed. I took the small requirements they asked for and made this thing amazing. Usually when you get to this part of the project and show them the mock ups they always want to add TONS of things. I only got a few minor requests. So that was really nice feeling. Today I’m just relaxing at work, taking care of some things that have had to be put on hold during the first part of this project.

So yeah, here it is Friday. I’m working in NB today. It’s nice to have my window office back. It gets really bad sitting in the office with no windows. Though, I suppose it’s better then a cube, which I’ll be in soon. :'(

I’m a bit annoyed about today though. The week before Dustin left for home we talked about what I’d do when I came down on Fridays. He graciously offered up his place for me to crash. I’ve been trying to contact him all week to try and figure out what’s going on and he won’t respond at all. I finially got out of him that he is going to the boom, but I still don’t know if I have a place to sleep or not, so it’s kinda annoying.

This seems relevant to today’s drive to OC:

The other day I was driving home from work and saw a lady stopped in the middle of a three lane side street… Right behind her was an AAA truck, filling her up with a gallon of gas. Anyone want to venture a guess as to what’s on either side of her? That’s right, A GAS STATION on both sides of the street! Why couldn’t she have just WALKED to either side of the street and purchased a gallon of gas instead of calling AAA!?

Music vs Conf Calls

Day #3 at the new place.. Things have been going well. I’m really enjoying my new place.

Yesterday after work I went home and went for a bike ride along the beach. So many hot boys! 🙂 Yum yum. I’m really going to have to hit the gym more to be able to keep up with these hotties! 😀

After that I went and sat on the beach for an hour and read. I wanted to stay longer, but I had way too much work to do.

Like I said, everyone in my complex is so friendly, like when you see people out and about they all say HI, the guy upstairs came over last night and we talked and he gave me some tips of how to get to the office. I’m really liking the area.

Speaking of, work is ok. But annoying. The people at the new office are SO bitchy! Yesterday morning I got here at 5:30, and had my music going. It wasn’t very loud at all, but all of a sudden someone walks past my door and says, “Chris you _have_ to turn that off, it’s driving me crazy.”.. And before I could even LOOK up to see who it was, they were gone… Excuse me bitch! First off, I didn’t fucking know anyone else was HERE at 5:30, when I came in ALL the lights were off. Second, couldn’t you have stopped in and said, “Hey chris, I can hear that in my office, would you mind turning it down?”… To which I would have said, “Yeah, no problem.. I’m sorry, I didn’t know anyone else was here.”

Ugh! But then these damn people use the fucking speaker phone for EVERYTHING. Checking VM, making personal calls. And they NEVER shut the doors. So all day long it’s just this LOUD annoying roar of people on the fucking phone. Excuse me, but how is that LESS annoying then my music. It’s not like I’m playing fucking hard core music. It’s STAR/JACK FM type music! Ugh. I also really hate this whole having to wear Business Casual/Pro. Ugh.

Yesterday, I also had to share the office with the VPs and CEO. That was annoying as well. But they are cool guys, so it wasn’t too bad. I got a lot done. But it’s just annoying cause they were constantly wanting updates on what I was doing. Granted we are coming up on a deadline for it, but seriously. Give me some time people! I’m not a machine!

Also the new desk/chair are both very uncomfortable!

Thinking about having a party saturday night. So far 3 people have said they would come. I’m not sure if that’s enough to warrent making them drive up here.

Unproductive Day…

Ugh, I hate unproductive days!

Today, I spent the WHOLE DAY in meetings… Very annoying. I sure hope that every day isn’t like that once I move up there. 🙁

I was very annoyed by one of the meetings. Some people are just way to STUCK on one way to do things, and REFUSE to freaking learn about change!

My bike is also telling me I’m too fat, the bolt that holds my seat on broke in half today… I had to walk 4 miles home.

Last Weekend as an OCer

Well, my last weekend as an OC Boy. 🙁

And it was honestly pretty fun!

Friday I didn’t do anything too fun. I worked, got bored and went home early. Mostly because I needed to download Fedora to actually DO any work, and it’s faster to go home and download it then it is to try and do it here at the office. I also went on a bike ride, went shopping for a bunch of stuff and did some other random stuff.

Ended up staying in that night though because I was tired and not feeling all that great. Watched The Producers. It was really good and I want to go see the play so badly now! Went to bed early.

Saturday I got up and did Laundry till like noon and then Austin called, so I went over there and we went down to Laguna Beach. Spent like 3 hours there hanging out and stuff and then went back to his place and showered and met Joel and Ryan in Dana Point for Sushi. It was a good day.

From there we all separated and I went home for like an hour before meeting up with Joel and Ryan at thier place for pre-drinks. 11ish we headed out to the boom. Had a fairly good night there, some random people came up and talked to him. The guy was really cute and I tried talking to him more, but he didn’t really seem too interested in talking. 🙁 They were asking me if I was from Kansas.

Ryan and Joel started talking to this random 34 year old guy. Who I thought was really nasty and creepy. Anyways, they invited him to Jack-in-the-box. I think they were trying to hook me up with him. But before the night was over, it was Ryan who got the hook up.

Anyways, after JITB, we were heading back to the car when Ryan decided he had to pee, so the random guy invited us up to his place so that he could do that… Then of course Ryan kept talking and we couldn’t get the hell out of there.. Needless to say I was REALLY pissed and Ryan ended up hoooking up with the random guy in the bathroom while Joel and I were sitting out on the balcony.

Finially got out of there at like 3am. Got home and just crashed.

Sunday I got up and was just lounging around the house. Went shopping at the Shops and got a second power adapter for my MacBook. Got home from that and was just sitting down when Andrew called and wanted to hang out. So I went up there and Austin met us. We watched Golden Girls and then went shopping at the block. I bought a really cute stripped shirt… Just what Austin HATES! lol.

Speaking of though. That boy is so fucking wierd. He IMed me on friday and was like, “We need to hang out more, blah blah blah” it was so wierd. But it was days like Sat/Sun that made me like him so much in the first place, hopefully that doesn’t cause an issue again. Though I’m doubtful it will.

I also got a bit depressed this weekend about the whole Dustin issue, it was really sad and annoying. I’m just so ready to fucking find someone and get a life started with my partner!

Which brings us to the Andrew issue… as he stated in his latest blog, we’re both looking for the same things, and we could get that out of each other.. But honestly, I just don’t think another relationship between the two of us would work out. There’s just too much history and stuff there now. I think we’re just bound to be friends. Hopefully for life. Plus with him moving in a year… who knows.

Andrew and I went and picked up the keys to my apartment, it kinda made me not as excited about it was I was originally. I got a much better look at the kitchen and bathroom, and they are both pretty gross… Mostly the floors are really gross… I was thinking I could get some of those sticky floors and just put those down or something to make it better… It is much bigger then I remembered. So that’s good.

So lets see…. What’s happened since I last updated?

Well not much! I went up to sign the lease with the guy… I’ve decided he’s CRAZY! We talked for like an hour, he was telling me about the “dating” scene in LA, how you should never take a woman to dinner on the first date, etc. He was so random! But he can get me into the Magic Castle anytime I want. 🙂 So that’s fun! But yeah, I’m excited!

So I’m having a moving party on June 11th, everyone should come help me move! 🙂 Let me know if you wanna help!

I got my MacBook Pro yesterday too. I was a bit annoyed with the config they got me though. 80Gig HD, and (2) 512 Chips. I was hoping for at least the 100Gig, sinnce that’s what I have now, and it’s nearly full. And I was hoping for the (1) 1Gig RAM chip, so that way I could take out one of my 512 chips from my current laptop and have 1.5gigs ram… Cause I really need it most of the time. But I can’t complain.

I think what I’m going to do this weekend is copy all my stuff over to the 80 gig drive, then take it out and put in my 100Gig. Then put the 80 Gig in my old laptop. I just hope it works, cause I think the 80Gig drive is a SATA. I suppose I should check that out. Blast that’ll be annoying if it doesn’t work!

After that I think I’m going to sell my current laptop… No point in keeping two Powerbook laptops around… $1,000 anyone???

Tuesday, I didn’t really do much. Worked late into the night, went on a bike ride with Jon… this time I got a flat tire!! How annoying. Apparently the powers that be, don’t want us to ride together. Today I’m going to go get a new tire and try again with him.

Yesterday, I worked and then went up to LA to see a play with Dustin. I knew he was going to be there way early because he had this interview, so I figured I’d go up and hang out with him early so that way he wasn’t bored in walking around downtown by himself.. It’d also give me a chance to talk to him about the situation… Anyways, I was planning on leaving at 5, get there by 6:30… 7 at the latest… With traffic and all that.

But then I got bored at work and left at 4, amazingly there was like NO traffic, so I was there at 5:15… I called him, no answer. I figure maybe he’s still in his interview or something, no big deal. So I sit down and read my book for an hour and then call him again…. No Answer. So now I start to get annoyed. I mean he KNEW I was coming up at some point. What if I was horribly lost or something.

So I keep reading my book… And I finially see him standing over by a coffee cart at like a little before 7… I was right in the middle of a chapter, so I finished that up and took my book back to my car and then went around to meet him. By this point, I was REALLY pissed, both at his failure to answer his phone, lots of other random things throughout the day, and also saddened by seeing him for the first time since the message…. So I walk up to him and am pretty bitchy. He says he forgot his phone at the office….

Now, I know I really have no right to be mad at him for not answering his phone, I mean he had no idea I was coming up so early, but when I make the effort to come up and be nice to hang out with him some before hand, it just really frustrates me when things don’t go as planned…

Well, ok.. It pisses me the hell off when things don’t go as I have planned… I’m bitchy like that, what can I say.

Anyways, so we go into the play. The Black Rider . It was REALLY good. The lighting, stage direction, and set were AMAZING. The acting and singing were great, and the story… Although hard to follow at times, was very good. I highly suggest eveyone go see it… Tickets were only $20!

During intermission, Dustin smoked… I walked out on him for that. (Well walked away from him back into the theater). I can’t believe he does that. :'(

After the play I drove back to his place and we had a good chat before going to bed… I kept wanting to bring up the message, but was always just too scared to get into it. Ugh. He leaves Friday to go back home for a while…

Today I’m working in Santa Monica, oh the joys. I’ve had like 3 hours of sleep. ::yawn:: Tonight I have to be back by 4 because people are coming over to buy my desk! Yay for $50! 🙂

I added up the moving costs yesterday as well… So far it’s cost me a grand total of $1600 to fucking move 40 miles! And my cell phone bill is going to be well over $100 this month… When I usually pay only $45.
