No Computer for me?

So this morning I bounced bastion. It never came back up.

So I met oscar at the datacenter and we couldn’t connect to it. Anyways long story short is that Damon tried to pin it on me, when it wasn’t my fault at all. I was told to bounce it, I did and that’s all I did. Grrr. I also got blamed for bringing down one of the sites last night.. Now, it WAS me that brought it down. But 7 other people had APPROVED my bringing it down! So it’s NOT my fault. This whole CR process is just NOT WORKING. Because one of the people who approves these things based on the CR process, just e-mailed saying that she didn’t catch it and things like this should be on OUR shoulders. The whole IDEA of the CR process is that the AM knows what the hell is going on and approves of denies things if something else is already scheduled.

I also heard that the company is not planning on buying me a laptop. Apparently They feel that my apple laptop is good enough. Even though the newest member of our team was bought a new apple laptop AND a mac mini, by the office… I’m not sure if it’s just a mis understanding (That maybe they guy incharge of this stuff, who just started a couple months ago) thinks that the company bought my laptop, or what. But I have to get time to talk to him about that.

I’m also getting a little annoying about this whole RT thing. An e-mail was sent out today by one of the VP’s complaining that it wasn’t done yet. An e-mail was replied saying that Zac had been working on it before his accident. Now, lets get it straight, zac had never TOUCHED the new box. It was ALL MINE. And the hold up was Damon! But anyways, the new guy is working on it, so whatever. It’s out of my hands now.

Ok, in other news, not much else going on. I’ve been REALLY tired lately, which is wierd. Usually when I work out, I get more energy, now I seem to never have any.

Blah blah blah. I’m out.

It was a gift card!

Yay, it was a gift card! How exciting.

Only thing is that I HATE getting gift cards. I never know what to buy for myself with them. Like, if you go to my amazon.com wishlist, there’s so many things on there that I’d love to have, but they aren’t things that I would buy FOR myself. They’re things that I want OTHER people to buy for me. So even when I get a gift card like this and it’s “free” money, I can never decide what to buy with it. Now, granted most gift cards it’s a little easier, because it’s for one particular store, however here the problem is that it’s an American Express gift card, so I can use it anywhere for anything! Blah!

I could use it to buy FOOD if I wanted too, or clothes, or DVD’s or shit for my apartment. But now, I’m getting to the point where I have all the needed shit for my apartment, so now i don’t really know what to buy with this money. Nor do I really know what to buy for myself with my own money.

Sure, again I go to stores all the time, and say… “I’d like to have this or that.” But the problem is that I don’t really need this or that. And when I get a gift card, I’d like to spend it on something that I’m going to use a lot. Because, well I feel like I should.

Maybe a new toaster, or some art for my house. Maybe hold it for a while and use it towards a new cell phone. Or if only it were for $500, then I could buy the Apple care that I really want, or buy more then one DVD set that I want… Gah!

Anyways, I’m done complaining about getting free money. I’ll shut up now.

Long Day

Today has been a very long day. Work was long yesterday and I got home and worked some more. Then I went to bed.

I got up about noon cause I could sleep, and then JonJon and I went to Mission Mall to the apple store. Got in there and they said that my laptop needed a new hard drive. So they sent it in. Thankfully I already have all my stuff backed up. 🙂

Shopped around for a while after that. Old Navy has some REALLY cute button fly jeans that I want. Too bad I really shouldn’t be spending any money this month.

After that came home and looked up mixed drink recipeis for tomorrow. Found some good ones. Now I have to go tomorrow and buy the drinks and everything else.

Didn’t do too much else. Sat around the apartment and watched some TV. Went to bed again about 7:30 or so and got up about 11. I’m still sleepy though.

Laptop Troubles

Well,

I spent yesterday working tell 10… My laptop was happy and running just fine.

I went to bed, and slept for like 10 hours…. Got up about 8pm and went to use it and the hard drive was spinning like a crazy mother fucker. Great. So I rebooted and brought up DiskWarrior (Which I JUST got inthe mail, thank god!) And yep, my hard drive has failed for good this time.

So calling the Apple store in the morning for an appointment to bring it in. 🙁

It’s a sad sad day.

More Stupid People

I really hate people who try to talk about things which they’ve never used.

I also really hate people who claim they have experience in things when they don’t.

Gah!

Also, why don’t people understand the clear superiority of Apple OS 10.X??? WHY!?

I wish I could force every doubter to spend a day with a mac… They would undeerstand then.

It’s really funny too to hear all the switch stories right here in our office. First it was Damon with a Mac, then it was Me… Now there’s 7 people all with brand new mac laptops that they all bring in, and plop out on thier desk every day… And every one of them LOVES it!

Speaking of switch stories. I woner what happened to that really hot boy that Apple used in it’s switch campaign?
