Liad Back Weekend

Well, this weekend has been really laid back. Which is exactly what I’ve kinda been wanting. I mean, I haven’t had a whole weekend to just do nothing since before Christmas. And sometimes you just need a weekend to do nothing…

And here, I’m using nothing in a very liberal term….

Because, Friday night I went out with Joel and Ryan to see V for Vendetta. It was an AMAZING movie. It had everything! Sex, drugs, death, blowing things up, love story, gay and lesbian themes, sci-fi. It was just great. Everyone should go see this movie.

It was also April fools, one of the best days of the year for the internet: April Fools everyone!

I also love it when people send out wonderful e-mails that say things like… “and kudos to Cj B for the…”. An e-mail with that got sent to the CEO, VP and some really high up people at our clients. Glad to know I’m doing something good at work.

Saturday I got up late and lounged around the house, did some fun programming projects, and then went shopping. I went to the store to get food for the week…

1) A pound of lunch meat

2) Loaf of bread

3) Milk

(Yes that really is my grocery list for a week’s worth of food)

And I ended up walking out of there spending $50 after adding a toothbrush, some leatuce, and mouth wash to the list. How annoying.

After that I went up to Santa Ana and saw Nunsense. It was mildly amusing. There was this really hot gay boy in the audience though. Yum yum. They were all about audience participation too, which was a bit annoying.

Saturday night I hung out with this guy Jason. We went to Blockbuster to rent a movie and you would never guess who I ran into there……

The hookup boy! _AND_ his bf! Omg. He walked right past me twice and never even looked at me.. Damn he’s got one fine ass though. haha.

Anyways, we came back to my place and just hung out and watched a movie. He left here about 1 and I went to bed.

On Sunday, Robert, Mike and I all went on a hike on the Holy Jim Falls Trail. OMG, it was a mess.. First you’ve got to drive back on this dirt road with HUGE pot holes and shit. We were affriad our truck was going to get stuck, so we parked about half way and walked the rest. It was so crayz. There were rivers flowing over the road and all these people back in there 4 wheeling. It looked like SO MUCH Fun. And the boys were SO HOT.

Anyways, we hiked for like 3 hours, but never got to the falls. I think we missed it somewhere, who knows. On the way back home though we passed this Biker bar, and there was this REALLY hot blond boy riding a harley. Yum yum. God I’ve been so horny lately. haha.

Got back to my place and we all went out to eat at this place and picked a spot to go camping at the end of this month. I also sent out invites for the first Gamping Brunch so that way everyone can get to know each other and we can plan out the first trip. God it’s going to be so much fun! I really hope people actually come.

Sarah called me in there and we’re going to take a trip out to Las Vegas sometime. That’ll be really exciting for me cause I haven’t seen her in like a year! My aunt called to tell me about the Bank issue I had a while back, apparently there were only 20 people that got notified, but she still wasn’t able to track down what retailer it was that had the issue. So that’s sad. Who knows.

Spent the rest of the night just lounging around my place doing nothing. It was nice. I really enjoyed myself this weekend.

I got a random e-mail the other day from this place advertising a new site “like” myspace. It’s called. DickSpace. God. Why is there ANOTHER hookup site? Of course I signed up. haha.

PowerBlock

So, Sundays for me are typically a very lazy day for me. I lounge around the house, clean stuff up, watch TV and just enjoy myself.

One thing I do every Sunday is watch the Powerblock on Spike TV. I know, how straight of me. But I like watching all the shows about cars and learning about it and seeing the cool stuff that’s going on. Well out of the four shows, one of my favorites was “Trucks!”. The host on there, Stacey David, was very cool, laid back and informative and always did some really cool projects. Anyways, so Sunday I was watching along and trucks came on and there was SWEARING in the intro!

So I looked up from what I was doing and noticed that the guys hosting was TOTALLY NOT Stacey! OMG, what happened?! So I go and look it up and find this artice on Stacey’s website.

Anyways, the guys hosting this show are SO FUCKING ANNOYING now. They swear and one is just the annoying fat guy. Ugh, the show is totally crap now. They don’t even go into the detail that Stacey used to.

Spike is totally ruining the Powerblock recently. They added this other horrible show called with two other really annoying guys. The only original show left is “Horsepower” which they added ths young kid too. But he ended up being pretty cool and he’s hot. So that wasn’t so bad.

The rest of the two hours are just turning to crap. I guess I’ll have to find something else to watch during that time.

In other news… Had lunch with Perry today, he was really nice and we had a good chat. It’s cool that he works in the building next to mine. Hopefully we can continue to have lunch. It’s nice to get out.

My Gamping group is up to 23 members now. I’m going to try and get a Brunch together soon. Have I said that already?

Anyways, time to go home for the day. Sadly I think it’s too cold for a bike ride. Oh well.

I Want Pie!

Hmm, so yesterday was really excellent.

I’ve decided that instead of always saying “Hola”, etc. I’m going to start saying “bonjour” and “bonsoir”. Maybe. Perhaps I should go German, though that’s a lot harder to spell.

Either way. Got off work last night and wasn’t really going to do my bike ride, but ended up doing it anyways. I carried my bike for like a mile up this really steap hill and my back hurts now. 🙁

After that came home and just lounged around. Met up with Robert and Jon and we all went out to Chili’s for dinner. It was very entertaining. Talked about lots of random stuff.

Once we were done there we dropped Jon off at his house again so he could go get Joel and then come back to my place. Robert and I ran a few errands and then met up with Jon and Joel at my place… I was very embarrassed about that though, A) because I haven’t cleaned in forever and my place is a pig sty and B) because there were condoms and lube sitting out in plain site that I had completely forgotten about!

I’m never going to live that one down!

Headed out to the Boom and just had a really great time there. At some point I said that if I had a dollar I’d tip the dancer, so Joel pulls out a dollar and starts shoving it down my pants… And then I took it and shoved it back in his pocket cause I really wasn’t going to tip the waiter and then he shoved it down my pants again and it got lost.. Eventually it fell out and I shoved it back down Joel’s pants… I think the dollar eventually ended up down Jon’s pants… That’s one SLUTTY dollar! lol

I also ended up in the middle of Joel and Jon’s dancing crazyness for about 2 seconds and then I skidaddled out of there. I had a lot to drink, but I wasn’t really that drunk. I’ve been holding my alcohol pretty well lately.

The wet underwear contest REALLY was NOT that good.. It was sad to tell you the truth. But whatever. The company made up for it. Oh, and green shirt boy was there again.. in the SAME outfit as he was last weekend! Um, hello!? You don’t do that shit!

Anyways, Robert, Than, Mike and I are all off to go hiking. So bonsoir!

Dayish Off

So yesterday I basically took the day off, even though I ended up working for a full 8 hours. Slept in a little late and laid in bed working on some stuff, which was nice. Got up and went to the doctors and then went over to the Audi dealer to test drive the A3. They had the exact car I wanted only in grey. So I drove that. It was SO NICE. The only thing I hated was that the C-pillar was a little too big and created a nice big blind spot on the driver side, but I think the mirrors were more then able to make up for that issue.

The other thing was that the back seat on the OpenSky system has less headroom then on the regular one. So I hit my head, but it wasn’t too bad. There was plenty of room in the back though and tons of room for gear.

After that I was going to go to the beach but no one wanted too. So I just rode my bike to this special little place I have and laid out sun bathing for like an hour and a half. Read and listened to music and just relaxed. It was really nice. Going to try and get out there again today. My face is a little red though.

Came home and did some more work. Had a really funny convo with MH. I broke this script on Monday when I updated something and I kept trying to blame him. It was hilarios. At least for me.

I’ve been getting some really good feed back from my latest plugin which also makes me happy. And this time so far no enhancement requests. So that’s even better! Someone did ask if I could modify it to work with the AmazonAPI, but it will already do that really. Just using the GoogleAPI. I was thinking though that maybe I will just go and modify it to use the AmazonAPI natively. It would be fun.

I’m trying to get a few people together to do a day hike this weekend. On Saturday or something. So far Robert, Than, Mike and Joel are all interested, but no one has actually commited to it… I meant to ask Jon about it last night, but forgot. I have no idea where to go. I’m trying to get in touch with Mike to figure something out since he says he knows good places around here.

Anyways, after working and lounging I went out with Jon, Joel and this other guy, Perry or Peter or something. Damn my horrible memory! I’m pretty sure it’s Perry. He works in the building right next to mine. Either way, I had a ton of fun, we all went to H Marys and just talked. It was nice being around people who had things besides thier school to talk about. It looks like we’re all going to the Boom for the wet underwear contest on Friday.

Give Him My Card.

So yesterday was an insanely busy e-mail day for me. It seemed like every time I turned around I had new e-mail. Incoming mail yesterday: 373 messages. Gah! Hopefully today will be quieter.

Got home from work and did my bike ride, which I haven’t done in forever. So that was a good change. My iPod is still broken though which is sad, so I had to do it without music! So unfun.

Sat around the aprtment for a while doing nothing and called someone to see if they wanted to go to the Drag show at the Boom that night. They said they weren’t sure and would call me back later to let me know.

I went out at about 7ish and hung out. Had an appointment at 8:30, he said that if I talk to Austin to give Austin his card.. cause he sounds like he’s got mental issues way worse then me. I found it funny. But I’ve been reading this book and it’s constatnly like, “OMG that’s SOOO Austin”. Maybe I should anonymously send him this book. I doubt he’d read it though. lol

Got done with my appointment about 9:30 and called the person again, since they hadn’t called back. And they didn’t answer thier phone. I called them again about 15 minutes later and they didn’t answer again! I’m so pissed about that.

I called Jenks last night too… Just talking with him again makes me SO want to go back. My Dr. guy said that I should wait a week to go back home, so that I plan it and it doesn’t look flakey to my boss. But I just want to go back NOW for a week.. And after talking to Jenks, I just want to go back even more. I miss that boy!… I miss EVERYONE in Iowa. :'(

However, tickets for the next two weeks are running about $800 to fly back. I’d have to wait till 4-1 to fly back to get any good prices.

I applied to Savis back in Chicago… I think that was the fastest rejection I ever got! I sent it in in the morning and was rejected in a few hours. lol.

Got a call yesterday though about one posistion, but she said it was Contract to hire and not paying any where NEAR what I needed. So yeah. 🙁
