LB Pride!

Wow. I haven’t updated since Wed, and so much has happened! I honestly only spent like 8 hours in my apartment since Wed night. lol.

Lets see, Thursday I worked in SM. Had to carpool up there with this guy, so it wasn’t so bad. Got home and packed up some clothes and went over to Dustin’s. We hung out at the hot tub, and had a glass of wine and just chatted. He also smoked three cigs.. I highly disapproved. WE got to bed shortly after midnight and I got up at 5 and went to work. Worked till 9:30 when Robert got here and then we spent the day in LA area looking at apartments. The FIRST one we found was amazing. But the manager WOULD NOT answer his phone. So we kept looking. The manager called me back at 5:30ish and said that I had to call the tenant to schedule a time to see the apartment. So I did called him and he didn’t answer his phone either, eventually he finially called me back, but said that he was out of town till sunday. So I scheduled a time on Sunday to view it.

All the other places we found were trash. Well, except for one, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. So yeah. We didn’t get back to OC till late friday night. I showered and then went over to Joel&Ryan’s. We hung out and drank some and there was a little drama there, but we all went out to the Boom about 11 and met up with Dustin and some of his friends.

Dustin did the wet undies contest and won 2nd place. There was some really stiff competition this time! Green shirt boy did it. Yumyum!

Left there and we all walked down to Jack, had some food and then Joel and I rode home with Dustin, cause Ryan had to go to LA. Got to dustin’s and hung out a while and then went to bed.

Saturday we got up and drove Joel back to his place and then Dustin dropped me off at mine. I slept for a while and then went over to Andrew’s. WE hung out there, and went and saw The Da Vinci Code. I thought it was pretty good. But Tom Hanks sucked.

Sunday we lots of fun. Andrew and I got up about 9 and headed to Long Beach. Met up with Robert and Benj and watched the parade. Jon and Austin showed up in there somewhere as well, and we all hung out.

I got pretty pissy though, probably both because of a lack of sleep, and also because NO ONE would make up their mind about what they wanted to do! And when I suggested stuff no one would listen!

Eventually Andrew and I left the group about 2ish and were walking around when this group of people started yelling at us from a balcony, so we went up and joined that party. Andrew made out with the guy hosting it (I think his name was kevin). lol. We hung out there till 4 when we left to go look at that apartment.

Got to Redondo and found some food. As I was feeding the meter, I brushed up against this bike, which promoptly attacked me! It gouged it’s gears into my toes… it hurt like a mo-fo and then it started bleeding like a mo-fo. My sandle is covered in blood.

Got home latish sunday night and tried to stay up for the simpsons, but ended up falling asleep. woke up with the rain and then moved to the bed room, listened to the rain and had a crazy horrible dream where this zombie was trying to kill me.

Today I have a horrible cold and am very sore! Getting out of my car, I had to stop and lean up against it for a while, because I felt like I was going to pass out.

Commmmmmmute!

Today’s commute = 3.5 hours… Total time in my car today: 6.5 hours. Total Miles driven = 145.

I took me 2.5 hours to get from SM back to AV today. It only took me an hour this morning to get from AV up to SM. This is insane, fucking LA traffic! Stupid drivers! I’m carpooling tomorrow with someone, thank god! I’m hoping I can get an apartment close enough to work that I can walk/bike or get a scooter.. Go Vespa!

Looked at 10 places today. Only 3 of them are worth considering. 2 of them don’t have any parking (Street only) and the last one is a small studio for $1300.. Way too much. Lots of stuff is coming avaliable in Westwood (omg, hot boys!)

I got news today. I _AM_ for 100% sure moving to Santa Monica. But not in the capacity I wanted/was hoping for. The idiot PM gave the job to some one else. (Apparently a bad move acording to my sources). They purchased me a new computer today, to satisfy my annoyance. And also guaranteed a pay increase equivalent to cost of living increase. I just have to call and OK the cost of living before signing the lease. I’m going to schedule a meeting with the CEO/VP’s early Friday morning to discuss my role in the company. As I’ve got a feeling it’s not really thought out too well, and I want to be sure there’s a place for me before making this move. Altough the VP’s have both expressed high regard for my work, it just feels like they aren’t sure where to place me long term.

I really want a roommate. Someone, anyone?! Robert and I are spending the whole day Friday up in SM/WeHo/Valley. I will sign a lease that day. I hope… ::crosses fingers::

I’ve been getting a feeling that Dustin is avoiding me… though he did call today to confirm we were still on for Friday. So I guess that’s a good sign.

What am I doing?

Really, what am I doing….

The West Wing is coming to an end, only one more epsiode. They’re closing down all the relationships, creating new ones, all this emotional stuff. And tonight.

Well, it made me start to think. There’s a new guy in town, in case you all haven’t already figured it out, Dustin… How do I handle him?

Ever since Andrew, I’ve taken everything slow, I’ve been defensive in relationships, both with friends and dating, I’ve been cold and bitchy, I’ve been disconnected. Not wanting to expose myself again like that.

Then, the new years. It was time to change all that, time to get out there and find another boy. Enter, Austin. I jumped in with both feet, I jumped in hard. I did things with him that I had never done with anyone else. I exposed myself and I got trashed again.

This time, I wasn’t going to let it get me down. Yes, I was down for a little bit, but it wasn’t going to stop me. I kept going.

Date, after date, after date… All horrible, all stupid, me defensive and bitchy to most of them.

Enter, Dustin. I was excited for that date anyways, he seemed so much better online then all the other boys, a good down to earth working boy. The date, as we all know, went off great. We’ve gotten closer and closer….

But now the time comes, one toe at a time, or both feet? Things have been moving pretty fast already. He’s spent the night a few times, we talk every day. No sex, which is good, that’s moving way to fast.

It seems people always say.. “We’re going to take it slow… ” Etc, etc. But they never seem to actually do it. I’ve said it, and not done it. So what’s the right speed, and how do you know? How do you regulate it, and should you?

There’s so many unknowns in relationships, they are so difficult. I’m excited for this one, even though I do have reservations about his age. We’ll slowly see where things go with this one.

So what am I doing? Why am I thinking about this move to Santa Monica, why did I agree to it? I’ve gained these amazing friends… Pretty much exactly what I’ve wanted. People who do BBQ’s, people who go out, people who will go on bike rides, and I’m sure there’s so much more. So why am I leaving them?

It’s all being really difficult for me right now. Very annoying.

And to top it all off… Austin contacted me today. He ran into the boys on Wed at the Boom, and then again on Fri… Today, I get a txt message. I replied, he replied, I replied… No response. I’m not sure what he wanted.. It’s been over a month since I’ve had any contact with him. So what, and why now?

It’s time for bed, I’ve had a horribly long day.

Long Long Week

Ok, so it’s been a long long week, and it’s been a while since I last updated. Sorry normal readers!

Lets see, highlights…

Last Tuesday was good, sushi and all that.

Wed was lots of proof-of-concept work for both the consulting and for my real job. Speaking of, OG and the guys at the office are starting up a consulting business. Very exciting stuff. I’ve already got two potential projects for me. After work I went over to Andrew’s and got the charger for the iPod and hung out for a short bit. Went home, biked for a while and then went out and played tennis with Jon. We both sucked. Me more so. It was good to get one-on-one time hanging out with him. He’s a nice guy. 🙂

Also ran into Ty there, apparently he lives in the apartments RIGHT next to the tennis courts. It was random. After we were done with that we went back to our own places, showered and then met back up at Joel’s place. We all went out to dinner and then hung out the rest of the night.

Thursday, was a long day at work. Meetings in Santa Monica, and driving there and back. Though I did get to drive the boss’ 530i BMW. That was hot! We also went to this place to eat where a freaking salad was $15! Thank god the boss paid! Then meetings later in the day for the consulting stuff, and the boy there was uber hot!. Then packing and all that. Ugh, crazyness. Is this what it felt like to be popular in HS, constantly busy? lol. I left my fucking apartment at 5:30 that morning and didn’t get home till 8pm. Ugh.

There was also LOTS of talk of me moving up to Santa Monica during that meeting and just in general from the VP himself. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

Friday was just work and then the flight, LONG fucking day. My Scope for that day said: “For now, writing in your journal or blog could be the best answer.”… 😀

The plane ride on friday was fine. I got moved from seat 33, all the way up to 11 and had the whole row to myself, so that was really nice. we left about 30 minutes late, but got in on time. ORD was a mess though, they were doing all this construction in the baggage claim. I honestly don’t know why I bothered with that. Ugh. Got out of there and went to the Car rental place.

Got there and they were like, “well we’re out of Kia Rio’s so we’ll have to give you a PT Cruiser”. So I was just like, “whatever, i just want a fucking car to go home”. So she pulls it up and it’s a freaking PT Convertable! How fun. I left there and traffic was fine. I drove for like an hour with the top down, but then it got too cold. It was kinda cool, you would really tell when you were going through the cold front, cause it went from 80 in Chicago, down to 50 about an hour outside of ORD, and then a few hours later it went back tup to 66.

Sometime I really need to take a road trip out to Chicago when I’m not in a hurry. There’s so much random stuff along I-80 that I want to take pictures of.. Such as “What Cheer, IA” and The worlds largest truck stop and some other really random stuff.

I was able to talk to people for like the first three hours of the trip. Talked to Andrew for like an hour, and then talked to Robert for like 2 hours. It was pretty entertaining. Finially got into my house at 4am and everyone in the house was up. It was so random. Went to bed and got up at about 8 that morning.

Hung around the house talking to the Parents and playing in the pond and stuff like that. We all went out to lunch and got Sushi then came back to the house. Where I realized I had forgotten a belt and my mom hated the way my shirt fit. So her and I went back out to the Mall and bought two new shirts and a new belt. The boys in the mid-west are so yummy!

Got back home and it was time to head out to see Angel so I drove over to Ankeny and picked her up. We went to chili’s and I SWORE the guy hosting was Adam, it was really creepy. But then once he turned and looked at us, it was clearly not him. But it was still really creepy.

From dinner we went back to my house and waited for everyone else to show up. It ended up being, Vero, Zach, Mandy, Angel, Ginny, Oksana, Nic and this random guy that Ginny brought who was pretty cute, but sadly straight. We all hung out there for a while and then headed downtown. Hung out at the Royal Mile and then hit up The Lift ! Yay for $5 martinis! 😀 Had a really great night. Sadly Jenks couldn’t make it. :'(

At the lift there was this REALLY hot boy in a purple shirt. They kept trying to get me to go talk to him. JJ said that I should go put a dollor down his pants and say, “This is for later when you are stripping for me” haha. As we were leaving Ginny went up to him and gave him my number. He never called. 🙁

Ginny was also wearing the most adorable jacket! I stole it for the night. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get them from her! 😀

OH, I also watched the two episodes of Penn & Teller: Bullshit. That show is GREAT. Everyone should go watch it. Specially the Boy Scout one (Here’s the torrent).. Steven Cozza, I love you!

Got home about midnight and just crashed hard core.

Sunday was easter. It was really good to see everyone there, the best part was my grandma’s face when she saw me get out of the car. 🙂

Left there about 1 and headed out to Chicago. The drive was fine till I got 40 miles from Chicago… When traffic STOPPED. It took 2.5 hours to go 40 miles! I was so stressed out and just started crying in the car. Ugh. I finially got to the hotel, which was very easy to find. It’s so adorable too. There’s wall paper with GIANT blueberries, and a purple wall and I’m on the 12th floor with a pretty good view of the city. There’s also all these cute Haiju’s on all the lit stuff in the room. It’s ADORABLE!

I weighed myself on my mom’s scale, I’m at the lowest I’ve been in like a year, but yet for some reason I feel the fattest I’ve been in a long time. I dunno why!

On the drive here I saw a sign that said “6-6-06 The signs are all around you” and the -‘s were all upside down crosses… it was REALLY wierd!

My scope for Sunday was this: “You are at the very front edge of an intellectual storm that may have your nerves standing up at attention. This is a highly interactive phase and you are mentally up for whatever challenge come your way. You can be clever, even brilliant over the next month, but it will be wasted if you don’t finish what you start.” Kinda creepy.

I had the most random dreams about my job interview on Sunday night. But I slept SO well in this amazing bed! Got up at 8:30 and walked up to the school to see where it was, and then came back to the hotel and got ready for my interview….. I was SOOOOO NERVOUS!

BUT! The interview itself went GREAT! I asked a ton of questions about the place, and what’s going ond all that. You could tell that he was VERY surprised about how old I was. But I think I impressed them anywyas. The interview itself lasted a full 2 hours and we did lunch as well… And oh, the boys at the school… Yum yum! 😀 I guess I’m one of 7 people interviewing for the job, and I’m the ONLY person they offered to fly out! So that must be good news at least.

While we were eating lunch though, I was sitting there and BOTH of my legs cramped up so badly. I wanted to jump up and scream, but I sat there and just smiled… I’m so good like that. haha.

One possible issue though is that the boss man had a picture of the Pope in his office? Random! Also.. There was a nun sitting next to me on the plane. Random again?!

There were TONS of hot boys on the plane too… Made me so horny. :'(

But now that the stress of the interview is gone, I’ve got even more stress of just living and working currently. With the talk of moving to Santa Monica, comes the fact that I’ll have to dress more business casual, instead of street bum, like I currently do. Also comes the stress of moving, friends, etc etc etc. So no matter what happens with the Chicago job, there’s still lots of stress in my life.

Being back in So Cal Is kinda nice though, because at least here it takes more then 2 idiots to cause atraffic problem, and drviing 80 is the norm, instead of this shit about driving the speed limit. But alas, we shall see what all happens.

Wet Undies!

Wow this has been another crazy weekend.

Ok, back to Friday… Got home from work and cleaned my apartment up. It’s nice looking now. Andrew showed up about 4 and we went suit shopping for me. I dropped $500 on a suit, it’s nice and I think I’ll be happy with the suit itself. But the sales guy was just a little too pushy for me, and plus, how often do I wear a suit. I guess now I shall have to FIND things to wear suits too.

The internet at my place has been HORRIBLY slow all fucking weekend. It’s driving me nuts!

After buying the suit we came back to my place and hung out, I made dinner and we ate and then watched this horrible cheerleader nation show.

Joel and Ryan showed up about 10ish and we headed down to the boom. Had an AMAZING time there… It was nice to have a group of people. I think we were probably the hottest boys in there! 😀 It ended up being Joel, Ryan, Andrew, Robert, Patrick, Perry and of course me! And I ran into Michael for a bit while we were there too. Andrew did the wet underwear contest and won second place. He totally should have won first place, but some ugly kid had a chearing gang that out cheered us. Oh well.

Just spent the night hanging out and drinking and having a really great time. My goal of drinking less is not happening very easily. Everyone keeps putting drinks in my hands.

Also, does everyone remember the first time I went to meet Joel at the Boom? With the hot guy that tried hitting on me/making out with me? Well he was there again last night… And! Andrew made out with him.. I’ll have to say that I am now _GLAD_ I did NOT make out with him. He’s 29, and basically just wanted a fuck in the bathroom. Thankfully Andrew got out of there before he got it…. Or at least that’s Andrew’s story. He was gone for a while. lol

My money was on Andrew making out with Perry, but sadly this other homo came up to us and started talking to Perry…

Left the bar at 1:45 when they were kicking everyone out and went down to the beach. It was a mess. Came back to my place and Joel and Ryan came in and hung out here till 3:15, 3:30ish? I dunno. Those two boys are adorable. 😛

Went to bed and I woke up at 6:30 and couldn’t really get back to sleep, but laid there till like 10 when I got up and made Andrew and I breakfast. After that we headed up to Huntington to look at that apartment. It was a nice place, small, but nice. I’m really thinking that I won’t take it though. I told him I’d let him know by the 20th though.

So much stuff going on in my life right now that I’m really stressing about.

Anyhow, got back from Huntington and Andrew left. I changed and took my car into TLE then went on a bike ride. They said it would take 2 hours, so I rode and then laid out in the sun and was gone for about 3 hours total. Came back and my car STILL wasn’t done. So I wondered around and it was done after 4 hours! Bastards. Then the guy running the register was SO SLOW! I wanted to punch him. He reminded me of this jerk I used to work with at K&G.

I meant to talk about this last month, but I was walking throught the greeting card section at Wal-Mart today and it reminded me. Anyways, last month I seemed to have 2 birthdays a week, and I tried and tried to go find cards that I thought were good, but they were all just so stupid. I dunno. I ended up only getting 1 person a card… Blah.

Saturday night I was just really tired so I cancelled my plans and I spent the night home alone. It was really nice to just relax there. Went to the hot tub and just chilled, cleared my head alot. Ended up going to bed at like 10 and didn’t wake up till my alarm went off at 9.

Sunday morning was the Gamping Brunch. Total bust. I was pretty pissed. Of the 4 people that did RSVP only 1 showed up. 2 other people I knew wanted to come, but weren’t able too and 9 people didn’t even RSVP at all, which was just annoying. The one person and I did however decide on the menu. So the other people get no input. Grr.

Went out to dinner with Joel and Ryan. Had a really good time. We went and got pizza, which I’ve been having way too much of lately. They’ve been having a meeting every monday for the last couple weeks at the office and I usually grab a peice from there after they are done… I need to get back on my hard core dieting! lol. We also went to Wal-Mart and Target. Left after that. Like I’ve said before, those boys!

The rest of the day I spent stressing over my life and what’s going on, went to bed at like 8.

I got a notice on my door the other day that says it’s now ILLEGAL to wash your cars in the parking lots, etc. You can only do it in approved business car washes… Umm, WTF?! So today they went around and put these little locks on all the outside water faucets.

I think today I’m going to try going up to hang out with that older guy again. Since I cancelled on him Saturday, I feel bad about that. Then Tuesday I’m going out to sushi with Michael. Sometime this week I’m also playing tennis with Jon. Then thursday/friday are going to be long days at work because both the HD guys are out, so I’m helping to cover that and Friday I fly out. This week is going to be so busy.
