Weekend Jobs!

So this weekend I’ve got the crazy temp job with ISU Foundation. It’s very funny. Considering I used to work for them. Did I ever tell you all that on here, or not. I can’t remember. Whatever. I’ll make about $300 this weekend alone/ Traning tonight from 6-9 then work 8 hours tomorrow and Sunday. It’ll be good to have some money that I can just blow on whateverness.

I think Andrew and I will do something nice with the money. Like go out somewhere nice or something like that.

Classes have been going good, and they all seem as though they should be fairly easy. We’ve been working out, and doing just our now normal things. I’ve also been taking over FFX alot. But not so much the last days.

I have a shit ton of books to read for one of my classes. Must get to that.

Edit:// I forgot today’s Job Count:
86 Applications, 16 Cold Letters, 3 Rejections.

Classes!

So, I’ve now been to all my classes but one, all have gone pretty good so far. Though, I’m fairly annoyed at one of the professors and the other one just copied her husbands sylabus.

My MIS prof is a complete jackass, at least so far. The first day of class he spent like 10 minutes talking about the class itself, then everyone went around and told one interesting thing about themselves, and then he had a 3-4 minute negative story about what they said. It was very very annoying. I hate him already. THough the class should be pretty easy… There’s only two tests and a project, equaliing 100 points.

My other class on Monday seems like it’ll be alright. The professor was a bit crazy, and the blargy Receptionist here at Krell is in the class. I hate her. It should be good, though there’s going to be LOTS of reading in that class.

Monday after classes we went to the gym and it was PACKED PACKED PACKED! There were so many people there, I’ve NEVER seen it that busy before. It was crazyness. We worked out and then ran the track and then went home. Cause it was way to busy to do anything else. Had a good night of supper at Hickory park… Where I assulted the waitress. It was very funny.

The bitch comes over, and asks if we’re ready to order and stuff. Jamie and I both say that we need a few more minutes, but then she goes and starts asking us what we want!?! I’m like, HELLO??? So them I get pressured into ordering something that I really didn’t want to eat, cause I wanted something different. So I was fairly annoyed with that. So anyways, she takes our orders gets us our drinks and then didn’t come back forever…

The food came, and she still hadn’t come back and by that time my glass had been empty for like 10 minutes, so I waited a few more minutes and started getting VERY annoyed. Because I also wanted a side of Ranch dressing to go with my meal, which I had forgotten to order at the begining. So after like 5-10 more minutes of us TRYING to flag her down or for that matter ANYONE that walked by, I get up, walk over to the place with the drinks, glass in hand and say…. “Our waitress hasn’t been back to our table since she took our oders, I want a refill now.” The Random lady (also a waitress, for the table RIGHT next to ours) says, “Well we just got a 40 seater.” … By now I was like, I DON’T GIVE A FUCK, It wouldn’t have taken more then 10 seconds to stop at our table, and ask if we needed refills. It’s NOT that hard of a mother fucking job to do. I don’t care if you just got a 100 seater, you don’t neglect your other customers. Stupid fucking bitch. So then she gets me my refill and I say to her, “The rest of our table also needs refils.” And then walk back to my table.

Waitress number 2 goes up to our waitress and whispers something to her, and then she quickly comes over to our table, and gets the rest of them refills. After that she was very attentive to our table.

Anyways, after dinner we all went home.

Today has been alright, we got up very early and went to the gym. I did the bike and Andrew did the other thing. Good times… 500+ calories before 9am were burned. After that I came home, showered and then came into work. I’ve printed off 40 follow up letters which will go into the mail here soon sometime. Today’s job application total: 70 Applications, 16 Cold Letters, 1 Rejection.

After morning work, I went to classes. Julian’s in my HDFS class, and he was with some girl today… Who upon meeting me said, “We are going to have sex.” As in, sex during the clas. It was funny. She was totally random throughout the class.

Class after that was boring. The professor is the wife of my MGMT 414 professor. It seems as though she’s just copied the entire class from him and changed the material from International Management to Strategic Management. She even told the same life story as him. It was creepy.

Now I’m here at work again. Stuffing more envelopes and updating here…

Not Much Changed

Wow, so not much has changed since last year at this time. We went to the Mr. Gay Iowa thing again at the garden, #1 was WAY hot and Andrew and I wanted to take him home. The sluts were there, being sluty, though the group was larger this year then last.

Lots of hanging out this weekend, it was really good times. We went Ice Skating, and found the under 16 (IE, not old enough to drive) white trash. Went home nad sat around, well actually we went right to bed.

Sunday we got up, did laundry and watched TV, then went out to Half-Priced books and had a good time there. I found two books that I really wanted to buy, but didn’t because I shouldn’t be buying things like that right now. After that we met up with Dustin at the mall and I got a calendar, since no one bought me one this year. From the mall we went to Hy-Vee and ate, then off to JJ’s to hang out and then the gay iowa thing. It was good times… Again, Number one can come home with us!

Friday we spent the night home, watched a movie, or was that Saturday, I don’t really remember. Anyways, we didn’t really do much. Andrew had a break down this weekend though, and that was sad. Mucho sad.

Oh, also on Friday I got a job offer… But it’s only for a weekend of work. I’m going to do it though. Cause it’s $240 for setting up computers, good times. Now I just have to get ahold of the guy again.

Speaking of jobs, I’ve now applied to 66 jobs and sent out 16 cold letters (Mostly to schools).

Today school starts. I’m VERY nervous about it all. It’s my last semester… ::shakes:: Today I only have two classes though, so that’ll be good.

Today’s also Andrew’s B-day! Happy B-day to him! We are going to Hickory Park with people tonight to celebrate. It’ll be good times.

I’m out. Laters all.

And we have problems…

Flight Sim enquiry raises terror alert

A mother’s enquiry about buying Microsoft Flight Simulator for her ten-year-old son prompted a night-time visit to her home from a state trooper.

Julie Olearcek, a USAF Reserve pilot made the enquiry at a Staples store in Massachusetts, home to an earlier bout of hysteria, during the Salem witch trials.

So alarmed was the Staples clerk at the prospect of the ten year old learning to fly, that he informed the police, the Greenfield Recorder reports. The authorities moved into action, leaving nothing to chance. A few days later, Olearcek was alarmed to discover a state trooper flashing a torch into to her home through a sliding glass door at 8:30 pm on a rainy night.

Olearcek is a regular Staples customer and schools her son at home. The Staples manager simply explained that staff were obeying advice. Shortly before Christmas, the FBI issued a terror alert to beware of drivers with maps, or reference books.

At one time it was rare to find US citizens, in the safest and most prosperous country in the world, jumping at their own shadows. Now we only note how high.

Umm…. YEAH? What the hell. Crazies

So since I don’t think I ever posted it before, here’s my schedule for next semester…

The Yellow shaded area is where I’ll be working at Krell. I haven’t yet decided if I want to come in Friday afternoons yet. They want me to, so I probably will. We’ll have to see.

Yesterday I got my Cover Letter finished and a few other things done with that stuff. I’ve applied to 51 jobs now. And have mailed two follow up’s. The rest will go out sometime in the next few days. I think the week of the 26th I’ll start doing call backs. Maybe earlier. I want to give them plenty of time, but not enough to forget about who I am. So I’ll have to see about it all. I really just want to get interviews set up for the time that I’m out there. April 5-9, because I don’t want to go out there and get an apartment and not have anything else done. Hopefully everything will come into place.

After work, I went home. Expecting Andrew, Courtney and Katie to all be there, and then I’d make supper, and we’d have a good old time.

But after spending 35 minutes in Hy-Vee, because some idiot didn’t know how to run the register (I had already checked out and had to stand there for like 20 minutes before she got me a reciept to sign), I got home and they weren’t there. I was pretty damn annoyed really. Especially since I had asked him to call me if the plans were going to change any, which they obviously did, and I didn’t get any phone call. I called him and he said it’d be like an hour, which annoyed me even more. Because now I had to make them all supper by myself. I was just annoyed.

Anyways, they all got there just as supper was getting ready and we ate, then sat around and had a pretty good time. We watched TV and did about nothing else.

After they caught the 9:53 bus, Andrew and I sat around and talked and didn’t really do anything. I was really exhausted last night, and was in pain from my knee and muscles. I feel better today though.

This morning so far, I’ve spelt in, had a real breakfast, showered, shaved, came to work, applied to a few more jobs (the supply has been dwindling lately), and now I’m getting ready to go to the staff meeting… Which is where I should head now, it’s time.

Laters all.

Death!

Well, the last couple days have been fairly exciting. Monday night I had a great time with everyone at Chili’s that was good times. Though Andrew stole and blarged down all of Courtney’s desert… Blargy pants!

After that we came home and on the way Dustin called, we set up times to hang out this weekend, so that will be excitingness.

Tuesday I came to work and did a lot of random stuff. Talked to the new guy for a long time, and got him rolling on things. This was the first time I’d had a chance to sit down with him and just get him caught up on what’s going on. I was a bit annoyed with the timing though because it was right in the middle of the MacExpo, so I missed all the new shit. Though I did catch the release of the new iPod mini. Good times. (See previous post)

I’ve also now applied to 37 jobs.

After work I went home to the Drew Bear. We changed and then went a bought books. I was a bit surprised because one of them litterly has 8 books! It was insanity. Though my other classes don’t really have much it looks like, so that’s good. The Human Sex book is very interesting. Andrew and I flipped through it last night, good times there.

After buying books we went and worked out, came home and then Andrew made dinner. He did a wonderful job. I wish that I had some to eat now though. I’m starving!

Today I came into work and have been fairly busy. The tape drive on Midas was acting up, so I called Dell and got that taken care of, then we got a bounced e-mail and had to take care of that.

After all that, I came into my office and started working on some other stuff. I finally got a responce from lire about a problem I’ve been having with the software, and worked on that some, along with a way to backup vermont, since it doesn’t ahve a built in tape drive. For some reason vermont-old won’t nfs mount vermont. But harmony and ednt can both do it without any problems. Very strange if you ask me.

I’d really like to just start re-doing vermont-old. But things are very stressful for Nazanin and group around here, so we mostly aren’t bothering them.

Also installed Xgrid on the macs. We now have a 6 Node cluster of Macs, three of which are Dual G5’s. Very nice. lol. What we’re going to do with it though is beyond me!

Oh, also last night after supper Andrew and I just sat aroundall night and had a good time playing video games with against each other. I got a bit upset because he kept killing me in Mortal Kombat… Not my fault that I don’t know how to play or what the buttons do. After that I played some other game, which was fairly amusing. I think I may go home and do that again tonight.

I still haven’t written the cover letter yet.. I just can’t get anything good on it going. Very annoying. Hopefully I’ll have something written here soon though. I really want to get those jobs at Chapman Applied for.

Anyways, that’s about it.
