I got Redhat 7.2 burned today, so I’m installing that now. I still want

to get SuSe 7.3 but I can only find 7.1 ISO’s and I don’t want to download

all the RPM’s for it. Grrr at that. Oh well. Redhat’s nice. And that’s what

we use at work, so I’m used to it.

Not much has really been going on today. I took a quiz in Accounting and

Math today, and they both sucks ass. I’m going to have to really study for

the finals. Speaking of finals I got my schedule all figured out for that.

I’ve got two finals Tuesday, two on Wednesday, and one Friday morning. So

I figure I’ll come back Monday night, stay here Mon, Tues nights and then

go home after my final on Wed then come back up here for the final Friday

morning. I think it’ll work. Cause my biggest finals are on Tues, Wed and

the final on Fri is for English, I mean, what is she really going to test

us over? So yeah, that way I’ll have all day Monday, and Tuesday to study.

Good times. One thing that really sucks though is that I’ve got two finals

at 7:30 AM. Grrrr.

Adam learned of my BIGGEST annoyance last night. When he saw that I was

useing Greymatter now for my site, he goes "Julian Copier." The

thing that pisses me off most is to be called a copier, or a cheater, or

a lier, or something like that. So I went off on him about that. He appoligized

though, so it’s all good. We actually had a really long talk about alot

of things last night and it was good. I mean, we made some progress but

both he and I know there’s alot more that we have to talk about. Oh well,

we’ll get it.

Angels’ soon to return with Matt, that should be cool to finally get a

chance to meet him.

The Loop: Speaking of the holidays. My mom said that I could have a party

at our house over Christmas break. So I’m offering my house for a New Years

Party, e-mail me if that sounds cool, or, I’ll talk to everyone about it,

but before I forget here it is in writting. I figure we could watch movies

and shit, and people could stay over if they want. (We need to get the mailing

list back going).

Oh, so I went into work today, and was in my office working on some things

that I had to finish. Well the auditors are here this week and Nazanin came

in and was like, "We need the specs on every computer in the building

by noon today." Well it was already 10, and specs include:

  • CPU Speed
  • OS
  • # of Hd’s
  • Capacity on HD’s
  • What’s being backed up on the HD’s
  • Serial Numbers
  • Purchase Date
  • Location in the office
  • The computers name
  • The Manufature

So yeah, we’ve got like 50 machines in the building including Dec, SGI’s,

Win Boxes, Linux Boxes, Servers. And it’s like damnit Nazanin, you should

have told me about this Tuesday so I could have worked on it. So yeah, I

scurried around the office and got it all to them by 11:45. I was proud

of myself. lol

So I’m at work. Yep, work, and I’m updating my website. I make

good money to do this, hehe. So tonight’s the GSA, I’m really jazzed about

that. Should be good times.

I found out that Thanksgivig is now at my house. I guess my Aunt is sick,

so they’re moving it. That’s kinda good and kinda bad. We’ll see. I just

want to be able to go out with Adam that night. I’m going to really need

it after all the family is over there. Oh well.

There was something that I wanted to talk about, that’s why I came all

the way back to my office to update this, but now I can’t remember what

exactly it was. I mean. I have the idea in my head about what I wanted to

talk about, but I can’t put it in words right now. Maybe later

Nov 13, [ZZ Top, "Legs"]

Well 13 hours after I left my room, I am now returning. It’s been a fucking

long day. I didn’t have Accounting class this morning, so I went into work

early. That was good, the electricians were there finally getting things

installed so that we could pull wiring. One of them was hot. So that was

good. I worked all day in the conference room pulling wires and climbing

in the cieling. But it’s all done now. Well, ok. It’s not, we still have

3 wires to pull and the only reason we didn’t pull those today was because

they weren’t in yet. Grrr to slow mail people. After work I had 2 tests,

the Econ test went pretty good. I got a "B" on it, the Accounting

test on the other hand. OMG was that bad. I was the first one done, took

me an hour to do it. And it still sucked. I should find out what I got on

it on Thursday, but I really don’t want to know.

So yeah, today’s been long, but the good news is that I can pretty much

slak off the rest of the week, and there’s only like 3 or 4 more weeks tell

christmas break, YAY!

No one’s online to talk to :'(

I haven’t gotten to talk to Adam yet today, I’m sad. I wanted to talk to

him about something while I was at work, but when I got back to my office

he was gone. I forget what it was that I wanted to ask him now though. Damn

memory. lol.

Oh well. I’m off to play with Greymatter.

Oct 30, [Five For Fighting, "Easy Tonight"]

Well, it’s 9:30 PM and I’m just getting back to my dorm room, for the first

time since 6:30 AM. Today has been really long. When I got to work this

morning everything was normal, I went in, did some work and walked around,

typical day. About noon Nazanin, my boss came in and said we were having

a party in the Conference room, so I went in there and they were all carving

pumpkins and eating really good food. So I hung out in there for like an

hour, hehe. I got paid to carve pumpkins. lol. Well after that I needed

to go update one of our database servers, so I went into my office, started

it up and went to log in. Well it wouldn’t let me log in, so I tried every

password that I could think of and it still wouldn’t let me. So I logged

into the other super user account that’s on there and started looking around.

I noticed that last time it was used as a database server, it had been hacked.

They must have taken it off line just after that, but no one had noticed

it. Cause the last entry in the log was July 11th. So I spent like 4 hours

going though thousands of lines of log files cleaning everything up and

collecting evidence. Grrr. I was so pissed. I had alot of other stuff to

do damnit. But in good news I got a Dec 3000 300LX station today. That’s

cool. Only problem is that I have to find some system install disks for

this 10 year old beast. That’s not going to be an easy task. I already looked

the the main places, and there wasn’t anything there. So I’m going to call

up Digital (who was purchased out by someone a while ago, I’m going to have

to find out who that was). But yeah. That’ll be cool. So I now have like

7 computers sitting in my room that are running. I have to find a Hub for

them all.

Well after that I printed out a diagram of our website. And taped it up

to my wall, that was amusing. Then I just hung out for a while and left

about 5:30 to go to class.

Tonight’s such a great night for halloween. It’s not raining, but it’s

still overcast, the ground is wet, it’s lightening, it’s just a great night.

Yeah good times.

There was something else that I wanted to write about here, but I can’t

remember right now. Grrr.

Oct 4, [Smashing Pumpkins, "Tonight, Tonight"]

Hehe, I’ve got a cool job. Today I was sitting in my office, and Nazani

came in and said that we needed to get rid of all the old Dec 3000 Unix

boxes that we’re sitting on my floor. I was like, but I like them there.

She said that we just needed to clean them of any Top Secret info and then

they could go back to the floor or to my house, or wherever I wanted them.

So I started going though them. Hehe it was cool. I got to play with computers

that had secret DOE information on them. I was amused. I didn’t look at

anything though. I was having to much fun playing with them. I love Unix

boxes. I’m going to see if I can get one. hehe. 🙂

Other then that my day’s been blah so far. It’s raining out. I got a fucking

kick ass parking spot on Campus Ave today. I was happy. I went to Accounting

today and found out that I’m not as fucked as I thought I was, I actually

did average on the test. There was only one person that got above 20 on

it. So that’s pretty good, but that’s still not enough to get my grade up

to where I want it. I’m going to have to buckle down on the studying. I’m

taking all mybooks home this weekend, and I’m going to spend most of Friday

studying.

I can’t fucking wait tell this weekend. It’s going to kick MAJOR ass. hehehehehehehehe.
