Long Days

Today has been a really long day.

I haven’t been home for over 12 hours now. I worked out this morning, and I’m a bit sore from that. My legs really hurt, as does my forearm. I have a horrible headache, and I’m dead tired.

I think I may just go home and crash.

Sue sent me a really funny e-mail. Basically saying that while Andrew is down, and not able to talk over the break, she’ll call me and let me know how he’s doing. How nice of her! She’s such a nice woman!

I’ve been in and out of work all day long, an hour here, 45 minutes there, a couple hours there. A lot of running around. I had a meeting for my Yucatan thing at noon today. I went there, and this REALLY REALLY annoying guy got into the program apparently. Very annoying. He asked about his being able to take his meds on the plane like ten times. And for some reason asked what the altidute was going to be there? I dunno what that was for. He’s just really stupid and annoying. And he’s nasty, and a blargy! He ate 7 peices of pizza while we were there.

I’m really hoping that he’s not my roomie while on the trip. That will be way annoying. I’m kinda hoping to get the Gaysian, and Aaron. I don’t know how many guys are going though. So far I’ve only seen 5, Hopefully they don’t put us all in one room. I’m thinking that maybe we’ll be 2 to a room. That would be nice. They’ve got 20 seats on the plane though, so I don’t think we’ve seen everyone. I’m very excited for the first day of classes, but just for that one class. I don’t want to go to the others.

After that I went and got my passport. I forgot to fill in a lot of the stuff. So I had to call my G&G to get it from them because my PU’s didn’t answer the phones. I got it though. I really hope my PU’s reimburse me for the $100! I really can’t afford that.

From there it was back to Krell to work for another hour or so, then I went back to campus for class. It was SO annoying. Stupid people giving presentations.

Class was over, thank god! And I came back to work. Which is where I’m at now. Getting ready to leave soon. YAY, couch… HERE I COME!

The Foundation

So it’s been a while since I last updated.

Well, over the course of the last couple days, I’ve gone to a job, and quit a job as well. lol.

So Friday was my first day at actual work, and it wasn’t too bad. I called a lot of crazy old people, trying to raise money for Morrill Hall. A lot of them were really cool to talk to, and I learned a lot. I got $250 on my second call, so that was really good. Plus the supervisor was listening in on that one, and he said it was the best first day call that he’d ever heard. So that was way cool.

I talked to a whole bunch of people, and I’ve told Andrew many of the stories over the last couple days as I’ve rememebered them. Right now I can only remember a few:

1) A crazy who tried to convert me, after he had pledged $25. “Do you go to church”…”Do you have a bible”…Etc, etc. You know the routine
2) A crazy who talked for 30 minutes about wind tunnel testing, but I didn’t understand a thing he was talking about!
3) A woman who got on the phone while I was talking to her husband and went… “Dr., I need you downstairs, could you please come down.” It was so funny. It’s like, “Can’t you just hang up on me!”

So yeah, I had a pretty good night my first night. Though very annoying, and amazingly stressful. I don’t see how people can do it.

After that I came home and just hung out here for the night. Saturday I went to Valley Junction and talked to this woman and found out that a gift I had been given a while ago was stolen. I returned it to her, and she gave me a cute little thing for it. I was happy and glad that I had done a good deed.

After that I went home and started to work on my mom’s chirstmas present. That took FOREVER! Much longer then I thought it would take. And it’s still not done. Hopefully I’ll get that finished next weekend.

About 4ish we headed to Ames to go to dinner. It’s my dad’s b-day today, so we went to dinner last night for him. I hate going to dinner with my family. They all just sit there and look at each other, no one ever had anything to say. Very annoying. We went to hickory park though and I got a patty melt. That was nummy! And the hot boy came and sang at my dad for his b-day.

We got home about 7ish and I just spent the rest of the night around the house. I was in a very bad mood, I really didn’t want to do anything, but I REALLY didn’t want to be home all night. I did wrap all the presents that I have for the holidays and let my mom pre-shake hers. She couldn’t guess what it was.

Today I got up about 10ish cause I really just wanted to lay in bed all day, and came to work. I HATED today! The first had me on calling Seniors, and they were all WAY rude, and stupid and very annoying. Grrr at them all. Then after like 5 calls I got switched to Old people again, which I really like. But the whole night I only got $25. I was sad about that. 🙁

I did get evaluated again though. And it was on one of my harder calls, the woman was really hostile. The super said that it was also one of the best calls he’d heard though and he gave me all 4’s (4’s are the highest) on everything except the Asks, because that’s where she got really hostile and I kinda got mad, so I was a little rude with her, so he gave me 3’s there. But still really good.

Anyways, I’ve made the decision that I’m not going to go back to work there. I just can’t deal with it. Very annoying.

Now I have to go and get to work on a group project, because I have a meeting at 8pm tonight. I relaly don’t want to go to that. Grrrr.

I also meant to write about how last night my mom and I were watching TV, and came across a show called: “Iron Chef USA: Holiday Showdown (CC)” And I was like.. COOL, I wonder what it is. Maybe a holiday Iron Chef here in the US… Well we start watching it and it’s a TOTAL HORRIBLE rip off of the original version, with get this…… William Shatner hosting it! It was sooooo bad. I wanted to cry!

Snow!

Yay, it’s the first snow of the season! I’m excited.

Last night was a REALLY long night.

I left my apartment at 7 yesterday morning and got back about 10 last night. Grrr, And I was stuck standing in the snow/cold wind for about 40 minutes waiting for a bus. I guess I’ll have to start driving more. Grrr.

Work was alright. Training is over, so the next time I go to work I actually get to work, I’m excited and nervous all at the same time.

We spent a lot of time talking with the trainer about where he’s from and stuff, apparetnly he speaks 8 languages. Plus he’s cute, lol.

Speaking of cute guys, there’s this guy in my MIS group, who if you just saw him you would think was a luad annoying jock whore face bitch. Well, it’s very funny because apparently he’s really shy, and hates talking infront of people, and today we have a class presentation. Good times. I just think it’s really cute/funny that he’s so shy. lol

And that’s been my life for the last couple days.

Busy Day, and COLD!

So I’ve been meaning to update lately, but it’s just been way to busy for me to actually get around to it. Right now I’ve got a couple minutes, so I thought that I would take some time to tell you what’s going on in my life!

Well, lets see, last time we talked I was getting ready to start training at my job. I went to that and it was pretty good. A bit stressful, but good. The guy that was doing the training that day was very annoying. Mostly because he reminded me of someone I really dislike, his actions, the way he talked, even the way he looked. It was just annoying, I kept asking meself, is that so and so? lol

Anyways, we met the other managers and there’s like 2 hot ones. Good times. 😉 lol. Got out of there about 4:30, and then I sat around waiting for my group meeting at 6. We were in the group meeting for a while, got things together and then went to Copyworks and got it printed and bound. Total cost: $16.00! Grrr. After that I ended up waiting for 45 minutes for the bus, in the COLD! Brrr was it ever cold Sunday night! Ran into my workout partener though and we talked some, then he complained of the cold and went inside. Whore!

Monday was a long day as well. Went to my class, YAY only 4 more times of that class!!! After that I missed the normal express bus, so I had to catch the regular bus, which didn’t get me home tell 10:15… Usually I’m leaving for work at that time, so I quickly showered and headed off to work.

Lots to do there on Monday, which I really didn’t like because I had to do research for my job training Monday night, and I also wanted to get a presentation done for my MIS class. We go tomorrow.

Anyways, did all the work there, and bought a new Dual 2.0Ghz G5 from Apple. That was fun! We spent a lot of money Monday!

After work I went to class, which was usual, had two group presentations, and they were both really bland. Got done with that and then went off to my training again.

I was again really nervous for that because we were all going to have to talk infront of people and shit, and basically just make asses of ourselves. Very annoying.

Lucily it was one of the hot boys doing the training yesterday, so that was fun, he told us stories about him getting drunk and arrested for the first hour of the class. lol. Good times!

After he was done with his stories we did a review, and by that time it was break time, so we did that. After break we went back and did the things. Thankfully he only made two people do them, and then the rest of us broke into groups of two and did it there. YAY! lol.

I got stuck with some stupid bitch though. She really was stupid!

It’s really funny though cause there’s this one girl who totally reminds me of Beak, like 100%! She even had read hair! She just totally has the additute that beak has and everything. IT’s so funny!

We got done with that right at 9 and from there I caught a bus home and ate and then went to bed. Good times, it was a really long day!

Today is going to be just as long, I left my house this morning at 7 and won’t be back tell like 9:45 or 10ish. And the worst thing is that I have NOTHING to eat in my apartment! 🙁

Had class this morning which was pretty boring, though I’m very excited because we only have 3 more classes left in there!!!!

MGMT 414 was alright, we just did group presentations. PoliSci was boring as hell like usual. I spelt through it, the first 20 minutes of class he talked about how if he had more time he would do this and that. IT’s like, well you don’t HAVE more time, and you are just wasting time by telling us this!!! IT was very annoying.

Group meeting after that and we got the presentation done for my MIS thing tomorrow. One last group meeting for my MGMT presentation on sunday and then that’s done with YAY!

Then class again, and now I’m typing this. After I’m done I have some notes to type up and then class and then training again tell 9. I hope I do good! 🙁

I forgot to mention how COLD it is in this lab, and how funny it is because all the professors are moving out of Carver and into the new business building. Very amusing. They all have BOXES of junk around the offices and papers stacked all over the place, and there’s tons of Marketing books and finance books around. Very funny.
