Happy Easter!

So this weekend was pretty good. Friday night I didn’t get off work till late so Ben came over to my place and we just watched Hotel Rwanda. It was a good movie, but I could have SWORN I saw it somewhere else before and it ended differently! I’m probably just imaging things. He left after the movie and I went to bed.

Saturday morning I got up and did laundry! What a mess. One of the washers I used wasn’t working right, so it left the thing half full of water and soap and it was a mess, so I had to re-wash all those clothes. Then one of the dryers wasn’t working either, so I had to put those in for an extra 30 minutes. UGH!

After that, I went home and changed and then hurried up to Ben’s place to go to the Getty Villa. That whole day was a mess. Ben just didn’t really say anything and I kept trying to talk to him about things and I’d just get one word answers and it just really annoyed me. So I went home after that and spent the night cleaning and watching The Dick Van Dyke Show. Good times!

Sunday morning I got up and did a quick ride with JC up in WeHo to SM Pier and back. There was this one cute boy on the ride who’s like hard core into running and what not. He’s doing the Boston Marathon this weekend, so we exchanged phone numbers. I googled him when I got home, only to find out he’s semi-famous! That is, in the EV world! haha. Although according to his myspace, he’s vegan! OMG! lol.

After that I went home and tried talking to Ben, but he wasn’t having it. So I just watched more Dick Van Dyke and made wonderful Chicken and rice soooo good! Ben txted me late that night and suggested we have drinks tonight. We’ll see how that goes.

Work today has been slow. I’m covering for the HD evening shift again. Which is always slow and other then that I am waiting on other people to get things done before I can do any of the work that I need to be doing. So I’m mostly waisting time right now and learning things. I was told that they might be moving me into a DBA type position soon. But then, I’ve heard that before.

I’ve always wondered how much caffeine it would take to kill me.

Later!

Drinky Drinky!

So last night I met up with this guy Erick. Very cute and very smart and very nice…

We got a little drunk and he spent the night. Nothing too much really happened, just lots of making out. But we did sleep naked. Yum. 🙂

It was really funny though because apparently he met Jason off A4A! Noooo WAY! Sooo funny! He claims that nothing happened, but who knows.

I don’t know what to think really. Ben lately has been getting on my nerves. He just doesn’t talk much and conversation is really difficult at times and his really laid back attitude just doesn’t mesh with me well at all. The whole, “I’ll be there sometime” UGH! I can’t deal with it! So I think it’s time to break that off. But I’m really not positive. I just don’t know what to do.

Stupid boys!

Burn Baby! … Calories!

So, I was Stumbling again the other day and found CalorieLab. So I looked and according to that thing, I burn between 700 and 900 calories an HOUR whenever I go biking!

CRAZY! So like that Century ride I did, that’s 4,675 calories! Insane! No wonder I am always hungry! And just on a normal weekend ride I can burn 1,400 or so.

The other day I watched Harvard Man. Very very strange. I would not suggest watching it.

Last night I went out with Ben for the first time in a week! He was sick. 🙁 We went out and saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was pretty good. But I wish they had stayed more with the original story. And they TOTALLY left it open for a second movie. It was good seeing Ben again.

[private]I also hung out with this guy Logan, who was nice and very interesting. He lives right down the street from me. He was very smart and works for Lexus. Although, he’s going bald and grey already![/private]

I called in today to find out just how much my ticket was going to cost me, apparently tickets aren’t available until 21 days after you get them! WTF?! It should only take them a day or two to scan them into the system! Stupid government!

Ok. Gotta get to work. later!

PopUrls

Ever since Digg went crazy and everyone started copying them, I always wondered why someone didn’t just aggregate all the sites into one. Well Stumble did it again!

I found this site the other day while looking through them all: PopUrls. Very cool site that basically lists all the recent top articles on all tons of different sites!

Personally I’d like to see it laid out a little differently. But this is a great start!

Yesterday I was leaving work and went through this intersection that I always go through. I turn right there at the light, and apparently it’s a “No right on red” intersection. Though, I SWEAR I’ve never seen a freaking sign there! Anyways, I got a fucking ticket for it. The cop said it would be “about” $300! HOLY SHIT! You’ve got to be kidding me! Ridic! UGH. I was so annoyed that I just went home instead of hitting the gym like I should have.

I want a Super (Mario) Cake at my next b-day party!

Also, I found this really cool travel buddy site. It’s called TripUp. Great place for finding people who are going to be in the area you are traveling! Maybe next time I take a trip I will try and use this to see if I can find someone to meet up with overseas! 🙂

I did a quick search of homes in the OC area. It’s really annoying that all the 55+ communities are SO affordable! Do you think I can pretend to be 55+. Haha.

Later.

Rachael Raye failed me!

Anyone who knows me should know that I _love_ Rachael Raye. I have her books. I cook her recipes, I watch her TV shows, I think she’s adorable. Well last night, she failed me…

I saw a recent episode of her show where she made “Everything” Chicken Tenders. I said to myself. “Hey those look pretty good”. So I decided to make some last night. I went out and bought chicken and all the other ingredients. About $25 total (mostly because I don’t have any of the needed spices, but that’s another thing!). Anyways. I get home and I start mixing things up.

It says to put in 2 TABLESPOONS of salt! That seems like a HELL of a lot of salt to put in. So I cut it in half! 1 tablespoon, I roll all the chicken in the mix and put it into the oven. It’s cooking and smells soooo good, I can’t wait for it to get done.

It gets done and I take it out, looks good, smells good. I take a bite…

And have to spit it out! It’s GROSS! Rachael has failed me! I try putting some sour cream with it, still gross. I try smothering it in Guacamole. No dice, I try scraping off the spices and covering it in ranch dressing. Still no dice!

I throw it in a pan and sautéed it with a potato (the potato will absorb the salt taste). Well that didn’t help either.

I had to throw it all away. $10 worth of chicken! I was sooo sad. And Rachael has failed me! Hopefully she can redeem herself on the next recipe I have from her. But that will have to wait till Thursday, which is the next day I can afford to go grocery shopping.

In other news… The next 4′ tall Asian bitch in her giant Range Rover SUV that merges into my lane without looking… I’m just going to let her hit me, and then sue the shit out of her. LOOK BEFORE YOU MERGE BITCH!

OG suggested I try Stumbleupon. And I have to say that I am now HOOKED! Love it. I have found so many new interesting things already! And I just can’t stop!

Here’s some examples:

Ok, are you bored yet? LOL.

Who wants to donate and help me buy the Garmin Edge 305! That thing is amazing!
