Hump-day

So hump-day is over. We’re almost done with the first week of classes.

So far things are going well. But then, nothing’s really started all that much. I do have alot of reading to do. And all the notes are on the web, so that’s nice.

Today I downloaded SimCity4, so I won’t be getting much done for the next couple days. lol. It’s installing right now.

The new guy at work is cute, I think I know him from somewhere else though. Anyone know the name Jesse Bries??

Anyhow, it’s done installing, so off I go!

First Day

So the first day back to classes is over. It went good.

I only had two classes today, MIS 432, and Marketing 340.

Mis 432 is another group based class. We picked groups today, which is annoying because you have no idea how your group is going to work together. But I like my group so far, unlike last semester they all have fairly good jobs, and seem to be smart, organized people. One of the guys in my group is really hot, he’s been in every MIS class that I’ve had so far, and I’ve just been able to stare at him from a-far. Now I can stare up-close. Yay. lol There’s two other’s that are kinda cute, and one that’s not cute at all.

My other class is a HUGE lecture class. The people sitting around me all say they’ve heard really good things about the prof. So that’s reasuring. We’ll see how that goes.

However, one bad thing is that…. After only ONE day of classes, I already have THREE, count them THREE tests on Feb 3rd. That’s only 2 and half weeks away! Rarr! I’m hoping that no one else has anything scheduled that day. It’s a monday too, which makes things even worse.

On another good note, we hired another guy to work here at krell, he’s kinda cute. I guess I get to “train” him on Wed. I don’t know what kind of stuff there is to do though. Hmm, I’ll have to put some thought into this one.

Happy B-day!

Happy B-day Andrew!!!

Yay, So again, it’s been a while. Friday I left work early cause nothing was working right for me. So I came home, played Sim City 3000 for a while, and then went and met up with Adam. Adam and I did some stuff, and then went and met up with Andrew and Marcos(sp?) we all went shopping and had a good time, even though I was a bit grumpy. After that we went to supper. Yummy in my tummy.

From there we departed ways and Adam and I went to my house and watched Signs. That was one SCARY mother fucking movie. OMG. But it was good, and the guy was hot!

Saturday I helped Adam move the rest of the stuff out of his old house, and then we took a nap tell the time he had to go to work. After he left for work I went home and watched TV and blarged on Ice Cream tell he got off, when we headed up to Ames to make Andrews B-day present. We were up tell all hours of the morning making that thing.

Today we got up and hung out for a while, went back to my house, made breakfast. Went over to Ankeny, finished Andrew’s b-day present, got food for Adam’s Parents and then met up with Andrew to get his Tattoo.

He got his tattoo, and it’s so cute. Good times. After that we went to MHM and shopped some more, then off to the Mr. Gay Iowa thing at the Garden.

The sluts were there, with stupid Slut Club t-shirts. It was amusing.

Over all VERY VERY good time there, Nathan Ritz was there, Yummy. He’s the hottest man alive.

Drag Queens all around, other good shit. I’m tempted to go to the Miss Iowa thing, I wonder if the drag queens at that are as good as the ones tonight.

We were sitting RIGHT infront of the Bass speakers, so I now have a very bad headache.

I may go to Lenox next weekend. We’ll see.

Classes start tomorrow, and I’m excited about that, kinda. We’ll see. I think that I should enjoy most of my clases this semster.

Summer Classes?

I know it’s been a long time since I last did a real update, but reall, there hasn’t been anything for me to update about.

I’ve been working 10 hours a day all week, tomorrow I’m only working 7, so that I can go to Ankeny and see Adam. I really need this money, YAY!

I figured it up that if I save everything that I make, and don’t have budgeted to spend over the next year, I’ll have about $4,000 by this time next year. That’d be very nice since I’ll be graduating and will need the money. However, since I know me, I’ll be lucky if I keep like $1,500 of that around tell then. I hate having money just sit there. lol

Besides work, there’s not much time to do anything else. I’ve been trying to get a PVR, such as MythTV set up lately, but again, I haven’t had hardly any time to do that.

I have however had time (I was up tell midnight last night) to look at my options for the summer. Although, I REALLY REALLY want to go back and work on BSA camp staff again, I know it’s not really a good idea.

I really want an internship somewhere, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. 🙁

So it looks like I’ll be at Krell this summer, which is good cause I do have alot of projects that I can work on there and expand my knowledge of stuff.

I’ve also been looking at Summer classes. I’m not sure if I want to take summer classes yet or not. If I do, that’ll take out 6 credit hours of classes to take my senior year, and leave me with 12 credits both semesters.

The options for classes are slim though for the summer. I can take ((Trlog360 || PoliSci251) && (Mis433 || Mgmt370))

For those that don’t know programming:

And those work out to be:
TrLog 360 == Business Logistics
PoliSci251 == Introduction to International Politics
Mis433 == Database Management Systems
Mgmt370 == Management of Organizations

(NOTE: Make sure you’re looking at the right classes, it only takes you down to the top of the X00 level class)

I also want to add two more classes, or perhaps just one to my schedule.
PoliSci312 == Minicourse in American Government and Politics
PoliSci313 == Minicourse in Theory and Methods
But I think I’ll just add one, Poli Sci 312. Cause the Theory and Methods class doesn’t look like something that I’d be interested in. The good thing about them though is that they’re only for half the semester. But I should really add at least one of them to make sure I’ve got enough 300+ level classes to graduate.

Besides classes, I could go on and on about how things just aren’t working out at work the way that I’d like them to. But I won’t.

If you haven’t already go to Apple and check out the NEW PowerBooks, they’ve got a 12 and a 17 one out now. So GREAT! Also, if you’ve got a nice connection speed look at the new commercials cause they are hilarious.
